Chapter 88: Chapter 88: After the Darkseid War II



[3rd POV] [A little while earlier]

Within a rather small room, Gwen laid. Various devices were around her at range, beeping as they were monitoring her situation and health. Her body was glowing a soft Purple and dark red, power rolling off of hers as the area around her was continuously illuminated.

This power was something...new, something...the Omega Effect, or "Omega Energy".

It was a force of entropy, something powerful, and capable of atomizing anyone or thing it hits with it's beams. Only the strongest of beings are capable of actually surviving the beams, or at least, a being with sufficient enough durability, such as Gwen. Said Effect was closely connected to the Source (A whole nother bag of worms), and has a WIDE array of uses.

Such as turning people into balls that are hit, obliterating them from existence, sending them back in time, and an array of other uses that Gwen would be able to figure out. Said abilities were only survived by Gwen, due to her vast array of powers that allowed her to survive, and tank the Omega Beams that hit her. The Omega effect would also strengthen her in every way imaginable, especially in terms of durability, as it was the Omega effect that made Darkseids skin it's color.

Said energy was undergoing an even larger change than normal, due to the influence of some of Gwen's other energies, most notably "Cursed Energy" "Psycho Power" and "Demonic Energy" each of them were being fused into the Omega Effect, enhancing both it, and the powers that used to use those individual energies, now using the Omega Effect, massively strengthening every aspect of them.

This energy was surging through Gwen's form, as she adapted and evolved over and over, her species ascending into something new, something...powerful.

Said assimilation, adaption, and evolution was what was taking an entire week. But finally, that process was over, as Gwen's body began to glow brighter and brighter, the entire Watchtower shaking under it's immense might, as slowly, Gwen's eyes began to trickle open, revealing deep glowing red eyes, as the stopped, and the energy dissipated.

[Darkseid (YJ) has been successfully absorbed and assimilated into the user, all powers, memories, and his species, are now a part of the user. The Omega effect has been stripped of all influence by the True Form Darkseid, allowing the user to use it without worry of being effected by said form]

Details - The True Form of Darkseid has influence in every universe in the Multiverse, except this one, now that you have killed his Avatar, and absorbed the shard within this realm. Due to this, he is forever cut off from this realm, weakening him, albeit by very little. For this incredible feat, a proper reward is owed.

Details - The forces of Apokolips have been a poison that has harmed the universe for millenia's, but no longer will they harm the greater universe, now that you have anihilated all of their forces, and their God.

Reading these quests, Gwen was silent, as a small smile graced her face.

'Not bad, the proper reward for having to slaughter an entire world, a buffed up God, and all his soldiers' Gwen thought, pleased, before continuing her thoughts.

'Turn 100 of those NL tickets into TL ones, and then consume the NL tickets and TL ones' Gwen thought, not seeing any point in waiting.

'Hmm, not bad. Acnologia, the Servants, and Mael are the best of the bunch. Go ahead and assimilate them, system' Gwen thought, before immediately bracing as she felt knowledge and magical power flood her being. And once again, the Watchtower began to quiver and shake, as a new burst of power flooded out of Gwen, only to immediately be stamped down and controlled.

Her assimilations (besides the one with Darkseid) now only took a few moments, taking a maximum of a few minutes. All thanks to her bodies rapid adpation and evolution, and her soul being more than strong enough to handle it now.

'Wow...Acnologia is a lot better than I thought. The servants are pretty great too' Gwen thought, a grin forming on her face as she felt the new power thundering within her, not even mentioning the power of Darkseid that she now held. Power that made her the strongest person on the planet (not that she wans't already) and one of the strongest in the entire

universe.

Seeing that her assimilation was over with, Gwen was preparing to stand, only to hear rapid footsteps, as she turned to the door, finding her girlfriends standing there with wide eyes, eyes that soon filled with tears as they barrelled towards her.

"""Gwen!"""" The three yelled, as they launched into her.

"Oofg jeez, give me a warning next time, will yo-" Gwen stopped as she felt the tears

beginning to stain her clothing.

"*Sniff* Ne-never scare us like that again" Artemis sniffed, as she cried against Gwen, who's eyes softened at the reaction her girlfriends showed.

"I can't promise that, Artemis, and you know that. But I can promise that I'll be more prepared for next time, and I'll try not to take a week to come back to you three" Gwen softly said, as her hand reached out and softly went through each of their hair.

"Promise?" Raven softly muttered.

"Promise" Gwen softly said, as she leaned down and kissed each of them on the forehead. "Why'd you absorb him?" Artemis asked still leaning against Gwen's warmth. "Because if I didn't, I'm certain that he'd find a way back. And I wasn't about to let the body of someone like him just sit there, when I could stop anyone else from using him. I also knew that it'd give me a lot of power, power that I could use to be more prepared should this happen again, and more prepared for any other future fights" Gwen replied, causing Artemis

to go silent.

"Next time warn us before you do something like that...please?" Raven asked, causing Gwen

"Of course, I'd rather not give you three a scare like this one again" Gwen responded, knowing that the three were terrified.

"You better not" Artemis muttered, causing Gwen to chuckle, before softly placing two fingers underneath her chin, causing her to lean up, as Gwen leaned forward and locked lips with her. She soon did the same to M'gann and Raven, leaving them blushing slightly, with small smiles gracing their beautiful (and rather adorable) features.

"How about once we're done with the stuff in the other world, we go to one a bit easier on us? That way you girls can get all my attention" Gwen asked, causing them to nod rapidly. "And Korra's, right? She's pretty obviously attracted to, if not in love with you" Raven said, causing Gwen to snort.

"Yes including her, should she be willing" Gwen said with a chuckle.

"I'm pretty sure she would be, she's completely smitten by you" Artemis said with a grin, remembering the dopey faces Korra sometimes had made when Gwen wasn't looking. "Well good then, I'll have to talk with her once we get back there. But for now...I've got some other people to talk to" Gwen said, before turning to the door, chuckling as she heard the

heartbeats outside.

Looking to the door with an amused smile, Gwen spoke.

"So, are you guys just going to hide out there, or are you going to come in?"
