The Assassin's Enemy Lover

Chapter 460

460 “Are you saying I am ugly?”

Zi Han couldn’t bear to see this person who was obsessed with cleanliness kneel on the filthy ground. He pulled him up and Yi Chen was a little hesitant at first but he got up to his feet and the two faced each other.

Yi Chen wanted to get close to Zi Han but he didn’t dare. His lover’s words cut him deep. He didn’t remember anything about the past but he could tell from the depth of his heart that he treasured this person so much and wouldn’t let anyone hurt him.

But his father had even threatened his most precious person and treated him badly. This thought made him clench his fists tightly. He vowed to cut ties with his father when he gets back. How could he be a good father in law in the future if he was mistreating his wife now?

Zi Han could sense his lover’s unstable mood thus he leaned closer pressing their foreheads together. He touched Yi Chen’s arm and squeezed it tightly his lips lightly touching Yi Chen’s.

Yi Chen’s eyelashes trembled as he inhaled deeply drawing in his lover’s scent. The last thread restraining him snapped and Yi Chen moved slightly and kissed Zi Han’s lips.

Zi Han didn’t reject him. In fact, he followed his lover’s lips his tongue licking them gently. Yi Chen’s body shuddered involuntarily from the electrifying sensation. He groaned unconsciously as he grasped the side of Zi Han’s neck and drew him closer deepening the kiss.

Yi Chen tilted his head to the side his hot breath entwined with Zi Han’s as they kissed passionately. He wanted to keep this going but Zi Han parted their lips and whispered in his voice breathy. “I I... Let’s go first. We can kiss later,” he said and Yi Chen’s adam’s apple rolled staring at those pink lips he was sucking on just now.

He wanted to press this man down and do to him things that couldn’t be mentioned in public but he had to restrain himself. Zi Han had just forgiven him somewhat and it wouldn’t be good to anger him right now.

Zi Han took out a handkerchief and poured out some water from the water bottle in his interspatial storage to wipe his face but Yi Chen held his wrist gently stopping him. The two of them stared at each other for a while. The ambiguous atmosphere that was about to dissipate suddenly came back again and they looked like there were about to kiss again.

.....

“I will... I will do it,” said Yi Chen as he pinched the folded handkerchief. Zi Han loosened his grip and Yi Chen gently wiped his face.

Zi Han didn’t say anything. He was so engrossed in watching Yi Chen’s handsome face that he didn’t notice the people passing by.

His burning gaze made Yi Chen feel a little embarrassed. He cleared his throat before saying, “It kind of feels weird kissing you in this face.”

Zi Han smiled slightly while closing his eyes letting Yi Chen wipe away the tears from his under eye. “What are you trying to say? Are you saying I am ugly?” he asked but a dark shadow suddenly loomed over him before he felt something soft touch his lips. The kiss was as light as a butterfly... it was like the touch of a feather but it still left his heart feeling warm.

When he opened his eyes Yi Chen was smiling at him the same smile he always had on after doing something naughty. The two of them were so absorbed in each other that they didn’t notice the convoy of people dragging four people with them. From the looks of it, they had suffered greatly with cuts and bruises in several places. The young boy with them wasn’t spared either despite his young age.

In the middle was a woman wearing expensive maroon robes her expression as deadly as a viper ready to strike. She was extremely livid and it was with reason. When she caught these people she thought they would give her something useful but instead, they said they didn’t know where the strange man was headed. Even after being beaten they still gave the same answer.

She wasn’t in a very good mood right now. Who knew that the person she was looking for was behind the abandoned mill she had just passed kissing another man?

Ten minutes later they had reached the temple and the crowd of onlookers that were watching the show still hadn’t dispersed. They didn’t know what crime these people had committed but judging from their weak appearances it was probably something not so serious. They looked like a family of four with two boys, one girl, and an emancipated woman who looked like she could drop dead at any second.

Throughout the years they had seen people being dragged to the temple for the smallest of crimes. Stealing could result in a hand being chopped off. Lying to a priest could result in your tongue getting cut off and speaking ill of the order of stor fr?nik would directly result in death.

The envoy climbed up the stairs of the temple as the brass bell was struck three times with a loud dong.

Dong!... Dong!... Dong!...

The busy temple was suddenly cleared with people scurrying away. This was the bell to summon the high priest who also served the role of king. Before there was a king and a high priest but things changed after the former king died and his first son died.

The second one who had been ordained as a priest took on both roles but he was mostly addressed as the high priest.

Yeoh Lang had been checking through the list of new people that had entered the city recently when he heard the bell of summonace.

“Is she back?” he asked and his attendant who had just walked in bowed before him saying,

“Yes, priestess Fan has returned with the group of people my lord has been looking for.”

“Okay. Let’s go,” he said while getting up. His hands were itching to find this person and finally bring Onyx Federation down.
