The Assassin's Enemy Lover

Chapter 376

376 Tickle torture is a thing?

An hour later Yi Chen was lying down on the couch preparing to sleep while recalling the way his siblings reiterated the story. It was both funny and theatrical at the same time.

He let out a light chuckle only for Yi Feng who wasn’t supposed to be here anymore said, “Wow, is that a smile?”

Yi Chen grabbed the cushion and tossed it at him. “Aren’t you supposed to be gone?” he asked and Yi Feng hugged the pillow and replied,

“Yes, but Kiet is performing emergency surgery which I am grateful for. It gives my ass a break,” said Yi Feng only for Yi Chen to stare at him like he was a crazy person.

“TMI,” said Yi Chen only for Yi Feng to try and cover up his tracks.

“I meant I am so sad very very sad. I miss him,” said Yi Feng clutching his chest and getting into the act.

“I am going to tell him,” said Yi Chen teasing his cousin and Yi Feng almost broke down in tears.

“If you do he will tickle me half to death. That little sadist, I love him but I don’t like being tickled. Oh the horror...,” said Yi Feng while placing the back of his hand on his forehead.

“Let me guess, he tickles your feet and in between your toes,” said Yi Chen as he further relaxed on the couch while opening the recording of his conversation with Zi Han earlier. He couldn’t wait to hear the sound of his voice again thus he took out a pair of gel-like earphones connecting them to his light brain.

.....

“Uhh how do you know that?” asked Yi Feng seeming mortified. Did his cousin know about their secret room too? It was impossible but he couldn’t help thinking he did.

“You forgot that we got a spa treatment after mum and auntie forced us and you kept giggling like a school girl the entire time... It was quite unsettling actually,” said Yi Chen recalling how he was laughing in tears begging for the unfortunate person to stop. It was a not so dignified sight.

But instead of reacting to that, Yi Feng was stuck in the words he said. “You said words,” said Yi Feng looking like he was in awe.

Yi Chen, “Huh?”

“You said words... lots of them. Are you sure you are, okay?”

Yi Chen sighed before placing the earphones into his ear. “Don’t disturb me unless something is on fire,” he said but two minutes later Yi Feng was hovering above him looking anxious.

Yi Chen, “...”

“Tell the housekeeping system to put the fire out. I am not interested,” said Yi Chen before going back to watch his sweetheart dozing off in the recording.

“Well, it’s not that. It’s this,” he said and he showed footage of Zi Han on a floating billboard. It was a congratulations message for him entering the Bloodgarde and it was all over the Federation.

Everyone now knew that Zi Han was now part of the Bloodgarde and that he was likely going to take over in the future.

Yi Chen immediately sat up and watched the video on the floating screen that was playing on StarNet. Before he could even watch the video to the end his light brain rang and when he checked it, he saw it was his father.

He decisively ignored his father’s calls. His mood was much better today and he didn’t feel like engaging in anything that would dampen it.

Yi Feng shivered when he saw who the call was from. He pointed at the light brain and asked, “So you aren’t going to answer that?... Wow, you are so brave. I am scared just being here to witness this. He might think I was an accomplice.”

Yi Chen ignored him while glueing his eyes back on the video. He didn’t know what Zi Xingxi’s purpose was but whatever it was it couldn’t be good.

The Marshal who had been ignored by both his wife and all his children felt very upset. He slammed the table in anger. Why couldn’t they see that he was doing this for them? For their future and their protection? Why couldn’t they see things his way?

His anger boiled all night and saw no signs of receding. Thus when he saw Yi Chen the next day his anger spewed over like lava but before he could erupt he recalled that his wife and children never made it home so he was forced to play nice.

This morning when he reached his office he saw that there was a box on his desk but it wasn’t addressed to him.

It was for his son and since he had been very controlling lately he had all of the things addressed to Yi Chen redirected to his office. He decided to use this as leverage thus he approached his son out of the training room and said, “Can we talk?”

Yi Chen who didn’t feel like talking to him wrapped his wrist and fingers with the black band he had just unravelled while saying, “I have to go back to train. I don’t have time.”

“You...,” said the Marshal at a loss for words. Yes, he was the one who had punished him with a year’s worth of training to be completed in three months but at this point, he could care less.

He took out the box and said, “I was about to open it but I decided not to. Can you talk now?”

Yi Chen’s eyes widened and decided from now on he should redirect his deliveries to his home.

His anger that had been repressed lately suddenly surged suffocating him.

“You might as well tie me to yourself and take me everywhere. With you it seems I can’t have any privacy,” said Yi Chen as he took the box from him.

“You bra-, said the Marshal stopping himself before he exploded. “I am not here to fight with you though I am still mad about you not answering my call last night.”

Yi Chen put away the box and said, “I was sleeping.”

Marshal Yi, “...”

They’re right there. His son never lied before. Now he was so good at it that if it wasn’t for Hydra noticing subtle changes in his body he would have been fooled.
