My Dearest General: It Has Always Been You

Ten minutes ago.

Wang Chengbing sauntered out from the bathroom with Yu Li'er in his arms. The girl's face was flushed and her eyes misty, disoriented as if she had just gone through something wrecking. On the other hand, Wang Chengbing had a satisfied look on his face, peeking out from his two topmost undone buttons were a few faint lipstick marks.

The bodyguards who stood by outside the bathroom looked at each other in understanding and coughed as they looked away. "Director Wang, does your stomachache feel better?"

"Oh yes, veryyy much better." He dragged out the words in a meaningful tone, smirking. "Thank you for waiting. Shall we proceed with the tour?"

"As you wish." There were two bodyguards who acted as their guides. One of them walked ahead while the other trailed behind. "As you can see, our main activity focused on the party hall. A lot of authoritative and famous figures gather here. You can see Congressman Rong right there, also it's the newly crowned Movie Empress, Mu Chenying…"

Wang Chengbing waved his hand, uninterested. "Enough with the introduction. I have no interest in talking and putting on fake smiles toward those people. Any other entertainment?"

"If you're hungry, we have hired 10 five star chefs to bring you exceptional dishes from all over the world, as well as many sought after limited edition wines…"

He clicked his tongue impatiently. "I am still not hungry. Let's leave it for later. You don't have anything else?"

"Err…" The guards glanced at each other awkwardly. Seeing Wang Chengbing increasingly displeased face, they recalled Manager Si's words to entertain the young master and tried to fulfill whatever he wished for. "Sorry, Director Wang. Do you have any idea?"

Wang Chengbing pondered for a moment. "Oh, hey!" He snapped his fingers, eyes twinkling brilliantly. "What about the Captain of the boat? Call him down! I have always wanted to talk with people who have operated ships before."

The guards chuckled at his obliviousness. "Director Wang, this yacht is docked on the shore. Even the machine isn't on. It isn't supposed to sail into the sea so there's no Captain present at the moment."

"Aw, that's too bad." He sighed in disappointment. "Then, I want to take some cool photos inside the cockpit. Come on!"

The guard couldn't help but remind him. "Your phone was confiscated earlier…"

"So just lend me yours! What are you so long winded about?" Wang Chengbing sized the guards upside down. "You can add my WeChat to send me the photos when the party ends." Sensing their hesitation, he added. "Don't you want to add my WeChat? Have you no idea who my uncle is? I can give you a much better job than being a bodyguard here. The salary is around this amount per month." He lifted four fingers and wriggled them in teasing. "How about it?"

"Director Wang…" Gulping, they asked, eyes shining in greed. "Are you sure?"

"Of course!" He harrumphed impatiently. "Do you think I am a man who will go back on my words? Huh?" His fingers pinched Yu Li'er's chin and shook it intimately.

Yu Li'er chuckled, her eyes curved into crescents. "Oh, Director Wang is so mighty. How can he be such a cowardly man? Surely, he will keep his promises."

The guards had long been tempted by the offer. Such a naive and lewd Young Master could even sit in a high position as a Director which they couldn't even dreamt of in their lives, how could they let this opportunity slip from their fingers? "O—Okay, sure! But we can only give you ten minutes. Manager Si is very strict and disciplined, you see. We are afraid that Director Wang will be blamed."

Wang Chengbing winked. "Alright! Take me there! Finally, I can get some cool photos. Babe, remember to shoot me as handsomely as possible, okay?"

Yu Li'er laughed sweetly. "Okay!"

The group of four climbed the stairs to the cockpit. Along the way, a few bodyguards came to ask them where they were going but because the two guards wanted to secure the job position among themselves, they talked themselves out easily, solving Wang Chengbing's problems along the way. The wind was harsh, blowing their hair and clothes. It wasn't until they got to the board that they could take a breather. 

Seemingly consumed by thrill and anticipation, Wang Chengbing skipped ahead, throwing the three behind. The corridor was dim and the floor creaked under their weights. From the porthole, they could see the back of the building and the dark, cloudless night.

All of a sudden...

"Ah!" A yelp came from Yu Li'er whose heels slipped, causing her to lose her balance and fall down on her butt, clutching her leg in pain. "It hurts…" Her brows wrinkled and dots of cold sweat formed on her face. 

"What happened?" Wang Chengbing retraced his steps and stood beside the guard. "You sprained your ankle?"

Yu Li'er bit her lips and nodded piteously, eyes swirling with unshed tears.

However, the guards had become too hardhearted to sympathize with the poor girl. Director Wang was their future boss so they couldn't bear to offend him! 

"Don't you know how to walk properly?" The guard berated in displeasure. "You're just wasting Director Wang's time, so useless!"

"Aiyah, aiyah, don't be so cruel." He patted one of the guards' shoulder. "Can you see she's in pain? You, go and give her treatment. I haven't had any fun with her yet, you know. Don't ruin my happy moments."

The subtle threat in his words made the guards' back straightened. They sighed tiredly. Unable to offend Director Wang, yet also had to treat his plaything better. Such was the life of a lowly bodyguard. It strengthened their resolve to resign from the job. 

"Alright." One of them crouched down and held Yu Li'er's arms. "Here, get up. I will treat your ankle as soon as possible."

The other gave Wang Chengbing a fawning smile. "Do you want to wait here, Director Wang? Or shall we go back to the party hall so I can find you another to amuse you in the meantime?"

"Hmm…" The corner of Wang Chengbing's lips curled upward and sharp glints flashed through his eyes. "You're truly not bad." The guard's eyes lit up and his smile became wider. "Then—"

"Arrgh!" Muffled groan of pain came from behind. The guard swiveled his head around in reflex and his eyes bulged out in shock when he saw the weak, harmless Yu Li'er holding an injection that was stabbed into the guard's neck. The woman's eyes were vicious and gleeful. The liquid drained into the guard's body, making the sturdy man slump down in no time. 

"Y—You…How dare you! Where did you get that?!" The guard positioned himself in front of Wang Chengbing and reached for the gun in the holster strapped to his waist. "Get behind me, Director Wang! This woman is poisonous—" His eyes widened in shock as the same injection was stabbed into his neck. Instantly, his hold on the gun slipped and his whole fingers turned numb. He trailed his gaze from the hand holding the injection up toward the perpetrator's face. "Director Wang…" Even until his body slumped down in paralysis, he still had a disbelief look on his face.

"Hehehe, one advice from me. When you do a body check in the future, please check what's inside their boxers and under the soles of their shoes, okay?" Wang Chengbing grabbed the gun and threw it toward Yu Li'er which the girl accepted in trembling hands. "Hold it. You will need it soon."

"You...Director Wang…" Yu Li'er scrambled up and stood straight, her ankle free from bruises and blemishes. Her whole body trembled from nervousness and excitement. She was still in a state of disbelief from the time Wang Chengbing took out a small yet potent paralysis injection and handed it to her back in the bathroom. "You're together with Mr. Xu and Lei Liqiu, aren't you?" She whispered with a hopeful voice.

"Save your question for later. We have a few minutes until other guards come to check on us." He pushed the door into the cockpit and grinned. "Let's start the real party!"

A/N: Four of them vs the entire ship crew with guns: begins! Maybe it looks OP but it's because they caught the guards off guard and knocked them out in an instant. There's still lots of bodyguards remains in the party hall.. Hehehe let's see how they will deal with that.
