Chapter 43. Honey! Our Son Might Be Dead!

One week before Ren Qingquan heard a mysterious woman and Ren Shiluo’s nagging voice.

Inside Ren Family’s house, Ren Shiluo is currently busy with paperwork. Looking at the sun slowly setting from his window, he placed his brush and decided to take a short break.

Pulling a teapot nearby and pouring some of the warm tea into a cup, he glanced toward the sky through his study room’s window while drinking the tea. Slowly drinking the warm tea, Ren Shiluo narrowed his eyes in happiness.

“Ahhh. What a nice day.” Remembering everything that had happened the last few months, he wished these kinds of calm days would last longer.

Especially after handling that tiring case of destroying a mine and the whole rebellion mess consecutively. Having several months worth of peace is quite a pleasant feeling.

Just when Ren Shiluo looks like he will melt and combine with the chair he is sitting in. He suddenly frowned before looking thoughtful.

Quickly pulling something from his pocket, Ren Shiluo can be seen holding onto a shiny crystal like pendant with a drop of liquid in the middle. Focusing his attention on that pendant for a long time, he saw it slowly dim and lost its luster. Seeing it getting dimmer and dimmer, Ren Shiluo’s frown also deepened with it.

After one minute of staring at that pendant, it finally lost its luster. Accompanied by a cracking sound as if something is breaking, a fine crack can be seen inside that pendant. Quickly, the crack widened and with a final loud sound, it shattered into tiny pieces.

“Ren Qingquan!” Looking at the shattered pendant piece, Ren Shiluo’s face turned into one of shock and fear as he subconsciously screamed Ren Qingquan’s name. Placing the tea cup he was holding on the table, He immediately ran outside Ren family’s house.

As if he remembered something, Ren Shiluo screamed at the top of his lungs. “Xiao Ling! I am going to visit my wife. Are you coming along with me? “

Mysteriously coming from an unknown corner, Xiao Ling answered. “Yes, Master!”

Hearing Xiao Ling calling him that, Ren Shiluo waved his hand. “Alright, enough of your whole maid acting. I’ve been playing along with you for tens of years already. We will first go to Martial Spirit Sect then go to my wife’s place after that.”

After being rebuked, Xiao Ling finally stopped acting like a maid and asked Ren Shiluo. “But it is not the time when we usually visit aunt though?”

While answering Xiao Ling, Ren Shiluo pulled a small plate engraved with a complicated pattern and placed a stone on the grove at its center. With a blinding light, the plate started to spew out smoke.

Throwing it toward the ground, Ren Shiluo and Xiao Ling stepped on top of that smoke as if it was solid and somehow began standing on top of that cloud-like thing.

After making sure their position was stable, the cloud slowly rose toward the sky. And under his control, that cloud moved toward the direction of Martial Spirit Sect. As the speed of that cloud is incredibly fast, both of them passed through the border of Azure Empire within half an hour.

Spending another twenty minutes, both of them arrived at the sky above Martial Spirit Sect. They soon descended toward the outer sect and started looking around the place. Using another treasure which allows him to sense others, Ren Shiluo starts looking for any trace of Ren Qingquan.

But, after searching for a long time, he still cannot find any clue and so, he returns to that cloud and begins flying toward Formation Peak.

Arriving at Formation Peak, Ren Shiluo looked around for his unreliable third brother. But all he could sense was only an empty mountain. The only presence he could sense was that of an old woman.

Descending from the cloud, he went toward that old woman and called her. “The lady over there, I want to ask you some questions!”

“Hmm?” Listening to his call, that old woman who is actually elder Rui that got blackmailed by Ren Qingquan’s third uncle answered.

Looking at Ren Shiluo who has great resemblance to those two, elder Rui frowned in distaste. After all, Ren Qingquan and his uncle have blackmailed her to take the sect’s task in their stead.

Ren Shiguang is the name of Ren Qingquan’s third uncle. Upon hearing Ren Shiluo’s question, elder Rui answered.

After sensing an unknown Martial Emperor arriving at that place, those Martial Emperors quickly gathered at the Formation Peak. Of course as it is currently night time, they need to change their sleepwear into the sect uniform. Which is why there is quite a delay between Ren Shiluo’s appearance at the Martial Spirit Sect and their appearance.

Upon observing those barren areas, Ren Shiluo could see there are many traces of plant ash spread around. Thinking the lack of greeneries seems to be caused by some uncontrollable wildfire, he continued his journey.

This time, he pulled a compass-like thing from his clothes and glanced at where the needle on that compass was pointing. Urging the cloud to move toward the location pointed by the compass, Ren Shiluo and Xiao Ling soon arrived at a certain location.

Once they arrived at that location, the compass started to spin around in place, which meant they finally arrived at their destination. For information, the place both of them currently at is exactly where Azure Emperor shattered the space and left the world.

Descending from the cloud, Ren Shiluo started screaming at the top of his lung. “Honeyyy!!! The pendant you left me to check Ren Qingquan’s condition shattered!”

Getting no response after waiting for some time, Ren Shiluo screamed once again. “HONEYYYYYY!!!!!”

After not getting a response for a long time, Ren Shiluo decided to call his wife by her name.

Staring at Ren Shiluo with her languid eyes, that woman spoke. “Why are you panicking so much?”

Looking at his wife appearing, he retold the story about that shattering pendant. Hearing his story, Gui Ruyan closed her hand for a moment while occasionally pinching her finger.

After a minute of finger pinching, Gui Ruyan said to Ren Shiluo. “There are no worries. Ren Qingquan is currently safe. The pendant just shattered because Ren Qingquan actually entered the cultivation world and went beyond its range.”

“The cultivation world? Is it the cultivation world you said you come from? Should we also visit it soon?”

Pulling a branch with a beautiful flower from inside his pocket which shouldn’t be able to hold such a big thing. Ren Shiluo placed his hand inside his pocket once again and pulled a stone. Placing the stone nearby that branch, it slowly melted and got absorbed into that branch.

After the stone melted with that branch, he jumped to the cloud and started to fly at low altitude.

Waving that branch around, it released several green lights which dispersed around the surrounding soil. Once the green light touches the soil, many green buds start to appear. Similar to a fast-forwarded movie, the bud quickly grows into an enormous tree within several minutes.

Just like that, one week passes with Ren Shiluo waving his branch around and turning the burnt core area of Endless Mountain green once again.
