Vampire Overlord System in the Apocalypse

Noah and the rest of the group began to collect all the Cores they acquired from defeating the Sea Snake Emperor.

Because the Boss was inside of the pool of water, all the cores it dropped ended deep within the water, and the entire group had to get in and collect the Cores slowly…

However, after a few minutes, it was done…

Noah gathered with his subordinates, as most of them began to dry out their clothes.

Others such as Arthur started to roast the large pieces of meat dropped by the Sea Snake Emperor that did not turn into black smoke because they were separated from some time from the main body of the creature while it was still alive, becoming 'Dropped Items' instead.

The same happened for other monsters, such as their claws, fangs, and other things.

However, such materials from low-ranked monsters such as E-Rank Monsters were often not sold for much… but when it came to a Hidden boss-type monster such as the Sea Snake Emperor… it was a different deal.

Aside from the delicious, red-colored meat, there was also the hard skin and a few dozen chitinous scales, which shined brightly with azure green metallic colors, Arthur could not help but think that they could make a beautiful shield and a set of armor that could be sold rather expensively, especially if it inherited some of the power from the Sea Snake Emperor.

There were also its Fangs, which were large and incredibly sharp, and just as hard as the scales.

"Amazing, we did a good job, especially by how we tore it apart, it dropped so many body parts before dying that a lot of them, instead of turning into black smoke, became Dropped Items! We really hit a jackpot here!" said Arthur.

"Indeed, all these could sell pretty well, or well, we can also use them for our equipment," said Timassa.

"I am going to grab two scales and a fang," said Noah, as he extended his Soul Weapon and used it to absorb the materials!

Aside from having absorbed the materials, Noah had also eaten the soul of the Sea Snake Emperor with his Soul Weapon, as it suddenly gained a new ability too!

Noah had been eating souls with it for some time now, but the stats it gained were not much after eating a bunch, but the quality of the soul of the Sea Snake Emperor was good enough for the Soul Weapon to receive a considerable boost in power!

"A new Skill… what does this do?" wondered Noah, which saw a new Skill within his Soul Weapon, acquired after the weapon ate the soul, scales, and fang of the Sea Snake Emperor.

Suddenly, from within the bony crimson claws, a serpentine creature emerged from it, seemingly made entirely out of crimson water, although it was not blood, it had a crimson aura!

The creature seemed to be some kind of familiar-type summon monster, it had its own health and could be destroyed, however, it would regenerate after a cooldown if destroyed.

Noah could use it to attack, entangle enemies even easily, bite, and other things, or even coat his own body with it to acquire a small boost in power.

After seeing Noah's new power, Arthur and the rest seemed amazed.

"Amazing… Noah-sama, you acquired this by absorbing the Sea Snake Materials? We can also absorb them for our Soul Weapons… I didn't think about that…" said Arthur, who only had profited on his mind.

"I would recommend all of you to strengthen your Soul Weapons using these materials too. Although generating profits is important, you should receive a nice boost in power through this for the moment," said Noah.

"Noah-sama is right, Arthur, don't think so much about money, we can make some more later, let's absorb them!" said Iris, as she grabbed a large scale and a fang, letting her knife absorb them.

"Sigh… I guess you're right, I was thinking too much about it that I forgot about the most obvious thing to do… Anyways, let us do it, I believe there are enough for everyone," said Arthur.

After a bit more, all those with Soul Weapons upgraded their stats a bit through absorbing the materials, but unlike Noah they did not acquire new Skills, this was mostly because Noah's Soul Weapon was able to eat souls.

Nonetheless, their weapons became stronger… however, Big Sis, Sakura, and Sugar glanced at the fangs and scales left with a bit of voraciousness.

"C-Can we eat these leftovers?" asked Sakura.

"Oh.. right… you can eat them, right?" asked Arthur.

Sakura, Sugar, and Big Sis had the power to absorb magic materials and items to increase their power, these items dropped from such a strong monster were bound to increase their power a bit, it was as if they had become… Soul Weapons themselves.

And then, Noah realized it.

"They are really like Soul Weapons, have you not realized?" he said.

"Oh right… So that is what happened! They became Soul Weapons but as Robots… that's really a bit insane," said Arthur.

"Indeed, but isn't it good? So they can grow at our side!" said Iris.

"Even as something akin to Soul Weapons, they cannot use the System, which is a pity. It would be the best if they could grab any type of power they could," said Timassa.

"I agree…" said Jon.

"Go ahead, you can pay me back by working extra hard tomorrow," said Noah, as Sakura, and Sugar smiled like silly little girls, while Big Sis nodded happily.

The three robots quickly absorbed the leftover materials, as the materials turned into particles of light and strengthened their Blood Core Batteries!

All three of them felt as if their bodies and the magic circuits inside of them were rushing with new power, their own self-upgrading ability was now triggering, as the three beautiful robots underwent a small qualitative change!

Their bodies became slimmer and a bit taller in Sakura and Sugar's case, while Big Sis became less packed with stuff and became slimmer.

Their eyes became brighter and their presence stronger.

"W-What is happening?" asked Sakura in surprise, as the light dissipated, her body seemed to have upgraded itself a bit as if she had evolved!

"Me too… Was I this taller?" asked Sugar in surprise.

"It seems that this new power has even given us the power to self-upgrade ourselves into higher models… How wonderful," said Big Sis, checking her more 'realistic' body shape, which was slimmer and slenderer, even her facial expressions became more clearer over her gray and black colored metallic face.

"So they can… even evolve… this is… the power of the Blood Core Batteries they got, right?" asked Arthur.

"Indeed, it should be! I cannot explain it otherwise…" said Iris.

"Amazing, Noah-sama! You've even let the robots upgrade so much!" said Timassa.

"Powerful…" said Jon while admiring the three robots' stronger magic presence.

The Blood Progenitor had seen this through Noah's eyes and was raging in anger, he couldn't believe that these strange synthetic beings had evolved thanks to his powers! It was taboo for him!

Even though it was completely nonsensical and stupid, so Noah ignored his baby rants.

"Good, now let's pack things up and leave," said Noah.

"What hour is it?" wondered Iris.

"It's… 12 PM?! That is a lot of time… And at which hour we entered here? At like 7 Am? We spent a lot of time inside…" sighed Arthur.

"Yeah, but now, we have enough Cores to raise to D-Rank!" said Timassa.

"How many did we even collect?" wondered Noah.

"Around… over five hundred… no way, that's a lot…" said Arthur.

"Even then, when we divide it between all of us, it becomes almost enough… Nonetheless, we will become D-Rank now, we are one more step closer from freedom…" said Noah, the 'freedom' he talked about was becoming B-Rank and then finally having the freedom of being strong and not controlled by others!

Now that everything was done for today, Noah decided to go back to Arthur's manor, take a bath and then go have some 'entertainment' to increase the morale of his subordinates!

"So where are we going?" wondered Arthur.

"I thought you were the expert on this, lead us to a nice restaurant that we can afford, everyone, deserves a break from time to time," said Noah.
