Urban God-level Youth

Chapter 143 Light Injury

Computer Science Major, Class 1.

He Tingting was teaching when a knock at the door was heard, followed by a middle-aged man entering, "Mr. He, could you please come out for a moment?"

This middle-aged man was a director at the Computer College.

He Tingting walked out with a look of curiosity in her eyes.

Outside the classroom stood two men in police uniforms.

Feeling even more puzzled, He Tingting curiously asked, "Director Li, what is the matter?"

Li Minghui spoke up, "I'm not too clear on the details, let the police explain to you."Nôv(el)B\\jnn

One of the officers said, "Hello, we've received a report that a student from your class is suspected of intentional assault, so we'd like to take him away to assist with the investigation."

He Tingting, "Suspected of intentional assault? Who is it?"

"After our investigation, it appears to be Qin Hao from your class."

Qin Hao?

He Tingting paused for a moment, "Are you sure you've got the right person? Qin Hao is the national exam top achiever and has been featured in the Xuan Country Daily. I hope you will investigate this matter seriously."

Hearing this, the two officers were surprised; being featured in the Xuan Country Daily was not something ordinary people could achieve. Those who made it there were either individuals who had made significant contributions to society, high-ranking officials, or corrupt bureaucrats under investigation.

Nevertheless, they could not just leave on this account.

One of the police officers said, "The victim has already provided a medical assessment certificate, and there are witnesses. We will investigate thoroughly, but right now, we need to take him to assist with the investigation."

He Tingting nodded, "Mhm, I hope you will conduct a fair and just investigation."

The two police officers nodded, then followed He Tingting into the classroom.

The students inside looked at the officers entering with curiosity, wondering what the police were doing in our classroom.

The chubby ones among them changed expression for a moment and looked towards Qin Hao.

Qin Hao maintained a calm demeanor, with a faint smile on his face.

He Tingting said to Qin Hao, "Qin Hao, please come out for a moment. The police officers have something to inquire about and need your assistance."

The classroom erupted in shock. The police were looking for Qin Hao? Could he have done something wrong?

Qin Hao got up and walked over, showing no fear, "Officers, what do you need to investigate with my assistance?"

One officer said, "You are suspected of intentional assault, so we hope you will cooperate with our police investigation."

"Um, okay!" Qin Hao instantly thought of Cui Zhi.

It was very possible that he was behind this.

When he had acted yesterday, Qin Hao had checked, and Cui Zhi's injuries were minor at best, nothing that would run afoul of the law, at most requiring compensation for medical expenses.

In that moment, he considered many possibilities.

The most likely was that Cui Zhi had used his family connections to try and get him imprisoned.

Considering this, Qin Hao's eyes narrowed slightly.

He had not expected Cui Zhi to be so ruthless, aiming to destroy him completely. Cui Zhi wanted to ruin Qin Hao utterly.

A man does not provoke a tiger, but a tiger may still intend harm.

Qin Hao followed the officers out of the classroom, immediately sparking a buzzing of gossip among the students—some secretly thrilled, others indifferent, and a few furrowing their brows in concern.

The happiest of them all were Huo Qiang and those who envied and resented Qin Hao.

...

Half an hour later, Qin Hao arrived at the Xinhai District Police Station by car, where the two officers led him straight into an interrogation room.

Qin Hao sat in the interrogation chair, where the lighting was dim.

The two police officers who had brought him in walked out after doing so.

Soon after, two different officers entered; they were not the ones who had escorted him there but another pair.

Both officers were expressionless, one taking the main seat while the other sat beside him to take notes.

The officer in the main seat asked sternly, "Name?"

"Qin Hao."

"Age?"

"19."

...

After some inconsequential preliminary questions, Wang Kai got to the point, "Where were you and what were you doing at four-thirty yesterday afternoon?"

Qin Hao: "Yesterday afternoon, my friend was beaten up by someone called by Cui Zhi, so I went to his dorm and beat him up."

Wang Kai: "So, you admit to what you did to Cui Zhi? According to the medical examination, Cui Zhi sustained minor injuries and your actions constitute intentional assault. Do you have any objections to yesterday's incident?"

Qin Hao: "Yes, I'm a doctor, and I saw that he'd only suffered superficial damage. At most, it could be classified as a minor injury; I'd like to see the medical certificate."

Wang Kai said to the person beside him, "Show him the medical certificate."

The person pulled out a medical certificate and handed it to Qin Hao.

Qin Hao glanced at it; it was an official certificate, issued by Jianghai Third Hospital, no less.

The certificate stated that Cui Zhi had a visibly deformed nasal bone and ear canal damage, affecting his hearing, which qualified the injuries as minor.

Seeing this, Wang Kai said, "Do you have any further objections? Not only did the Third Hospital make this assessment, but our forensic doctor has also confirmed that Cui Zhi's injuries are indeed minor. Here are the results of our forensic examination."

Qin Hao: "Sorry, officer, but I feel there might be some foul play involved here."

Wang Kai's face immediately darkened, "Foul play? Are you questioning the authority of the police?"

Qin Hao replied calmly, "No, I just hope you'll investigate thoroughly; I've been framed."

Wang Kai snorted coldly, "We don't need your instructions on how to solve this case. Now, not only do we have physical evidence,

but also two witnesses. The evidence is incontrovertible. Are you still trying to plead not guilty? Come clean and seek leniency or you'll face even harsher punishment."

Qin Hao: "How can I confess to something I haven't done?"

Wang Kai: "You sure are tough, with both eyewitness and physical evidence against you, I wonder how long you can keep this up."

Qin Hao's expression remained unchanged as he said, "I'd like to make a phone call, if that's alright?"

After saying so, he had already taken out his cellphone and called Li Moying, the only person he knew in Jianghai City.

He knew Xu Siyao as well, but didn't have her contact information.

The call connected quickly, and Qin Hao spoke, "I'm at the Xinhai District Police Station, come here, please."

"Who allowed you to make a call? Hand the phone over to me," demanded Wang Kai, snatching the phone away the moment he finished speaking.

Qin Hao didn't dodge or resist, allowing him to take the phone, his gaze calm as he watched.

Wang Kai: "According to regulations, for criminal cases like yours, you're not allowed any contact with the outside world until the case is closed."

Qin Hao closed his eyes and said no more; he could sense that Wang Kai must have some connection to Cui Zhi's side.

The best defense for him now was silent protest; Li Moying's arrival would make a difference.

Wang Kai noticed his silence and frowned slightly, finding the situation somewhat troublesome. Qin Hao was like a hedgehog, presenting a challenge that felt impossible to tackle.

He didn't seem like a nineteen-year-old youth, but rather a slick character well-versed in police encounters.
