Chapter 29: Night's secret
Chapter 29: Night's secret
Upon leaving the castle Night received a notification.
[Affinity with the Royal family of Vraun +60]
He expected this but +60 was more than what he expected. His destination was the waterfall in the forest behind Vraun, the region of Kriol.
According to Noel, training under the waterfall would help him increase his understanding of weapon aura to the max, to Night this seemed a bit cliche but since this was what happened in most anime, he was excited.
"Shade" he called out his guardian once he entered the forest of Kriol.
He noticed that Shade was the same level as him and some of his stats as well as his skills were adjusted so that it isn't broken, however, regardless of all the adjustments Shade was still strong enough to take on an entire party of level 50 players.

(refer to chapter 22 for information about ' Shade's ' Guardian stats.)
And looking at his own stats he was quite pleased, his STR and VIT were nearing 300, and his DEX was over 300, of course, this was the stat increase he received after equipping Dawn's Bow.
This made him question many things, since he was a GrandMaster, he was allowed to equip all his weapons at once, did that mean all the weapon stat buffs would be active? wouldn't that make GrandMaster's too broken? Night failed to take into consideration the amount of time people actually take to fully comprehend weapon aura, he was actually looking forward to testing his theory when he equipped more weapons, he was using the basic weapons until now.
But first, he wanted to see whether the damage increase from the bow would be halved or it would just add to the total damage, Night was hoping it was the latter since that would mean a significant increase in his damage.
He wasn't fully aware of how much damage the other players dealt, he was sure that they dealt somewhere in the 3000's, little did he know most players easily dealt damage nearing 8000, some top-ranked DPS players even dealt damage above 10000.
He also noticed that the other top-ranked players were trying really hard to level up and were putting in constant effort, he wasn't aware that he was the reason majority of the rankers were working this hard.
For him leveling up wasn't too hard with the help of the curse and the combat sense, and to top it off he had Shade to help, Shade's help would exponentially increase his ' party's ' damage output.

By now almost 3 billion people were now playing Genesis, people of all ages played the game, people with disabilities or lifetime injuries could play as well.
Since the start of the game, players were constantly on the edge due to the fact that an unknown player was cursed within the first minute, some pushed this issue aside, saying that the player was probably cursed because he tried to harass some NPC.
Luke(IGN- Night) never told anyone but when he first heard that Nyx was the goddess of the Night/Dark, he secretly cursed himself. You see the reason Luke named himself Night was because he wanted to overcome his biggest fear and that was of ... well the Night or to be precise the Dark and once he realized that he was cursed/stalked literally by the Goddess of the Night.
Nate called him lucky but at first, Night really cursed himself, he was working towards getting over his irrational fear of the Dark, especially since he didn't want people pointing out the fact that a 22yr old is afraid of the dark.
