Chapter 249: Aleron's Aim, Battle At The Arena
Chapter 249: Aleron's Aim, Battle At The Arena
[Silencing Crimson's Raven Ravager]
Rank: Unbound
Effect(s):
-1. (Core) Heart: Pumps out a sharp aura that coats the user as stamina is consumed, increasing physical power by up to 200%. This state can be kept while recovering stamina as well if you can control it.
-2. (Mask/Hat) Eyes: This piece can either be a mask or a hat, depending on the user's taste. Allows the users to see through any phenomenon, invisibility, and effects as long as the user identifies the attributes. Increase the sensing range of the user's scout, vision, and such types of skills by 50%.
-3. (Gloves) Arms: Clashing in melee weapons while wearing the gloves will store impactous energy within the gloves, up to three charges. Each charge can flatly increase an offense-type skill's attack power or pure physical attack by 100%.
-4. (Trousers) Legs: Increases power storing capabilities of legs by a fold, allowing the user to exert double powers from the legs compared to other body parts while also allowing the user to instantaneously move in any direction with instant reflexes at 100% extra speed than usual at the cost of higher stamina consumption.
-5. (Vest) Stomach: The vest transforms the stomach area, providing comprehensive defense, but most importantly, it allows the user to absorb an attack's energy or any untamed energy to a certain limit and covert it into stamina.
-6. (Long coat/Wings) Back: You can extend a pair of wings from the back as well. Allows the user to turn into an absolute silent state at a low consumption of Chakra energy. Erases the atmospheric pressure or resistance to almost null when flying and reduces stamina consumption of any activity by 20%.
'This is kinda crazy. It directly boosts my power in many parameters along with additional boosts...damn!'
[Gachapi: This is indeed wonderful.]
[New Banner is in the process of creation...]
Aleron's whole look changed as he wore the set, looking badass because of his height and enhanced physique that made him look super handsome.
"This is cool," Aleron grinned and snapped his finger, creating a red-glassed round spectacle, hands in his pocket and buttoning the long black coat with big collars before he walked out the portal.
"You look like a villain in this," Lilisa chuckled.
"I guess I am a villain for many," Aleron smiled, his eyes glinting. "Anyway, since we are done here, what's next?"
Lilisa was to say when she noticed something and blankly stared at two floating Innate gears, "W-What did you do? How the hell did you remove your innate gears?"
"Oh, I already had them almost removed, at least I separated them while we were on our way here since I was planning to change my Innate Gears and get a full set myself anyway. I know how to do that because of my body's fine control," Aleron smiled. "I don't need help in this regard."
Lilisa was dumbfounded. Innate Gears required precise and careful extraction to remove them. A mistake could cause severe injuries since they were combined into important areas of the body.
'Damn, this was a close call. Glad I responded naturally with a decent lie,' Aleron wryly smiled. 'It's not strange that I could learn how to properly extract Innate Gears given the brilliance I displayed so far...right?'
[Gachapi: Yeah, it should be fine.]
"Well, I somehow don't doubt that," Lilisa wryly smiled. "You're a monster. Anyway, next would be a weapon if you want one."
'I don't need a weapon since Astral's Scythe would be perfect after his evolution, but I shouldn't reject free stuff from this alliance.'
[Gachapi: For sure, Master.]
"Well, let's go and take a look at the weapons," Aleron smiled.
In the end, Aleron picked up a rather valuable weapon, though not as valuable as the set of Sovereign Innate Gears.
"Aren't there some special type of weapons just like those Sovereign Innate gears?" Aleron asked as they walked out of the weapon palace.
"There are, of course," Lilisa smiled. "But, you are not allowed to pick one of those. For that, you need to rise higher and become a rather important member of the Alliance."
Aleron chuckled and said, "Great, how do I do that?"
"For starter, take number place in the Dungeon Exploration."
"That's easy."
...
After returning to the courtyard, Aleron started training in the Concept.
Five hours later, he finished a session and started experiments on Innate Gears and Geno Gears, combining the two somehow to completely create a new type of gears.
Geno Gears were externals; they couldn't enter into one's body, but they held wondrous powers, and Aleron could give desirable powers to them by fishing for Geno Mods in the Realm of Genome.
They were more like artifacts with special effects while being weapons, armor, and more.
Innate Gears could settle into one's body and fundamentally enhance them, giving new effects and powers.
As such, Aleron wanted to create Innate Geno Gears. Instead of just providing boosts and effects, what if one's body or any part of it could freely turn into a weapon capable of releasing various powers like Geno Gears on top of giving boosts like Innate Gears?
Aleron spent five hours experimenting and exhausted his Genome Pulse before he moved to a different training.
Combat.
He spared with his ladies as they also wanted to battle and gain insights into his or their
Concepts.
It was usually best to combine meditation and battle both in order to progress. Sometimes, one could get an idea or a flash of inspiration while sparring.
In this case, Aleron and others only used the powers in which they wanted to progress so they
could explore it more and reach a higher understanding.
Just like that, hours turned into days, and it was time to fight Sid's candidate.
The stadium was not full, but there were still tens of thousands of public in audience.
Not all of them were members of Prosper Path Alliance, of course. Most of them were actually people living in the city.
Sid's candidate, Romellus Contista, was a rather famous individual in the city. He had records in Arena Tower here and was also said to be the strongest Unbound-rank in the city.
"Whoever challenged him today is either stupid or lost his mind."
"Who is Romellus fighting anyway?"
"No idea. Some nobody, but the fight is doubted to be interesting."
"Image if Romellus loses this match...won't he miss his chance to enter the special
dungeon?"
"Romellus! He is here! Use your Spiral Dragon Vortex Beam this time and finish the nobody in
one shot!"
"That's his strongest attack. Why would he use it to fight right off the bat, heh?"
"Romellus! Romellus!"
Aleron also entered the crowd after Romellus, hearing the people's cheering for Romellus enhanced by their powers as it boomed around.
"Geez, people are really excited because of that guy, eh?" Aleron muttered while looking
around before focusing on the front.
Romellus was a handsome, lean, physique man like Aleron, but he had slightly curly blond
hair and ruby eyes, wearing a thin dark silver armor and holding a black lance with green and
red glowing patterns.
Aleron was in his new look, leisurely walking into the battleground before floating up slowly to be on the same level as Romellus, his hands in his pocket.
At the edge of the stadium, Lilisa stood with Aleron's girls and Kira as they watched.
"You know how to do this, Aleron. Just like we planned," Lilisa muttered. "I want a brutal
defeat."
Of course, that was up to Aleron's decision.
'She wants me to play with him and defeat him without getting a scratch,' Aleron had an amused smile on his face. 'That's gotta be humiliating considering his fame.'
He would do that but on his condition.
Aleron's eyes glinted, activating the Eyes of Absolute Judgement.
The mark above Romellus was....
Black.
'Everyone i checked is black or red. Is everyone like that here?' Aleron's brows slightly creased
as he looked around at the audience.
'I guess not.' Half of the audience was yellow, while the other half was mostly red, and a couple hundred
black.
There was no white-marked person here, but that was expected.
'I guess only those innocent people and kids brought here as slaves would be white...' Aleron
shook his head.
"What are you thinking?"
Aleron turned to Romellus upon hearing the question and smiled, "Nothing."n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om
The referee arrived, who was none other than Sid, as he floated above them and took out a
coin.
"Are you two ready?"
"Yeah," Romellus nodded, his lance firm and his posture in a stance. His eyes bore into Aleron's as his aura surged.
Romellus appeared ready to attack as soon as the battle began.
"I am ready," Aleron nodded, his hands still in his pockets.
Instantly, the audience started booing Aleron because of his casual and leisurely appearance.
"Kill him with one shot!"
"Destroy him, Romellus."
Romellus narrowed his eyes, "You are very disrespectful, I see."
"Yes, towards certain people, I am," Aleron chuckled and glanced at Sid. "Anyway, can we
start?"
Sid's eyes gleamed darkly before he spoke, "The battle will start just as this coin touches the
ground."
He tossed the coin before it started falling.
Aleron and Romellus looked at each other, focused.
The moment coin touched the ground, Romellus vanished from his spot, surging at Aleron
like a milky blue lightning bolt with sparks, his lance straight at his head.
*Crackle...BOOM!*
Aleron was pierced as a loud burst of lightning reaction exploded along with a blast.
However, Aleron's voice approached his ears from back, startling Romellus as he swiftly retreated a hundred meters away.
Aleron was floating in the same leisure posture while the one that was destroyed was his clone
mirage.
"You have to be a bit more fast than that," Aleron smiled. "Come on, let's try one more time,
shall we?"
At his words, the arena fell into a deathly silence.
"You're dead!" Romellus uttered under his breath, his aura surging exponentially.
