The Wife of Hades

After a very very long shower together, Mo Han carried An Luxia out of the bathroom and gently placed her onto the bed, carefully positioning her hair against the pillow and covering her body fully with the blanket.

He ran his fingers through her hair again to make sure it was fully dried before going to close the lights and laying down next to her.

He smiled, lifting her hand out of the blanket and looking at the glistening ring inside the complete darkness. After several seconds, he carefully placed the hand back into the blanket and pulled her into his embrace, closing his eyes as the two of them fell asleep together.

Li Yilan finished her last class of the day and walked on the school grounds, making her way to the front parking lot where her car was parked.

As she walked, few people acknowledged her or talked to her and this only made her more mad as she remembered how the group of people flocked around An Luxia during their class together. 

She slowly made her way to the front of the school, where there were several people gathered either talking, playing around, or also returning home after a long day of classes.

She continued to walk until she reached the sidewalk, and then she called a taxi, which she rode all the way home. Once she stepped in, the strong scent of alcohol reached her nose. She scrunched her nose up in disgust as she stepped in and saw her dad lying unconscious on the couch, his snores ringing inside the small room.

She kicked off her shoes and walked in, trying to ignore her father as she made her way to her room. She walked around the empty glass beer bottles that rolled around the ground. 

She entered her room and closed the door, walking over to her vanity and starting to put on makeup over her already "made" face.

She glanced at the clock and realized that she didn't have much time, so she hurried and quickly finished. Then, she picked out a sparkly black dress and a pair of heels before grabbing her bag and rushing out the door again. 

Her father was still sleeping as she left and drove to the bar. She quickly made her way through the groups of people inside the normal bar, the loud music ringing in her ears. 

She entered the small room, where many girls were inside already, and she placed her stuff into her own cabinet. 

"Yilan, you're here!" The man in charge walked over, "You will be in room 8 today. The bosses specially requested for you today. They are new customers."

Li Yilan smiled crookedly as she closed the cabinet and locked it, "Okay! And. . . Mr. Wu, you know President Lin? The young master of the Lin family. He used to come here often."

  The man thought about it for a while, knitting his eyebrows together, "Oh, right! The Lin family! Lin Qiwei, right?"

  Li Yilan nodded, "Yes, yes! Do you know what happened? What happened to the Lin Corporation? Why did it suddenly go bankrupt?"

  The man shrugged, "How should I know? I'm not interested in the business stuff. Plus, it seems like he won't be coming back anymore after what happened, so it doesn't matter. Focus on your new clients."

  Li Yilan pressed her lips together as she remembered what she had requested of Lin Qiwei the night after she had lost the beauty competition. . . And then less than three days later, news of the Lin Corporation going bankrupt was all over the television and newspapers. 

There was no way they were related. . . right? 

Li Yilan pushed the thoughts to the back of her head and grinned, "Yes, Mr. Wu. I will get going then."

The man nodded and patted her on the back as she left the room and made her way to the VIP area of the bar, where normal people could not enter and most did not even know existed. 

Once she entered, the noise coming from the outside was all blocked out and the only sound that could be heard was her high heels clicking against the marble floor. 

She stopped in front of the room with the golden number 8 on it and pushed the door open slowly, walking in to see an old and fat man laying on the bed. 

She sighed internally, softly frowning as she had hoped that the new customer would be younger and more attractive, although it was very unlikely. However, she quickly hid her emotions and put on a bright and seductive smile as she walked in, closing the door shut behind her.

Upon seeing her, the man immediately stood up and walked over to her, swinging around his fat body as he didn't have any clothes on. 

"You're finally here. . . Li Yilan, right? I have heard a lot about you."

Li Yilan smile, trying to resist the urge to throw up and run about of here, "Yes, Mr. Yu. Nice to meet you."

The man smiled, revealing his yellow and crooked teeth, "Very nice to meet you too. Come, come."

  He grabbed onto her arm and pulled her over to the bed, pushing her down and immediately crawling over on top of her, "I waited for you for a very long time."

Li Yilan grinned and was about to say sorry when there was suddenly a ripping sound as her dress was ripped apart aggressively and the air in the cold room immediately greeted her skin.

Without waiting for another word, the man licked his lips and threw the dress away and onto the ground, and within the next minute, both a woman and a man's loud and weird noises could be heard in the room.

The sun was rising already when Li Yilan finally left her "workplace". When she left, she was no longer wearing the same dress she was in when she came here. 

Instead, she wore a white shirt and black pants that were obviously not her size. She waved her hand out and called a taxi to return home after a very tiring night.

Once she got into the car, she immediately fell asleep because she was so tired, and the driver had to wake her up when she arrived. 

After entering the room, her mom immediately rushed over with a smile, "Yilan, you're back."

  She nodded frustratingly and walked in, kicking her shoes back and dragging her bag behind her. As she entered, she saw her dad laying on the couch, conscious this time as he watched the television. 

In his hands, there was a half empty bottle of beer. Upon seeing her, he immediately jumped up excitedly and held his hands out, "Yilan, you're back! Did you get the money?"

  Li Yilan's grip around her handbag tightened as she clenched her teeth together, glaring at his dad who immediately frowned.

"Why are you looking at me like that?! Hurry up and give me the money!" 

Without waiting, he reached his arm out and snatched her bag away from her, opening it up and flipping out all the things inside to find the thick envelope with the money Li Yilan had earned inside.

At once, his eyes lit up as he bent down and took the bag, brushing away the dust on it with a content smile, "Yes, yes."

Li Yilan glared at her disgusting dad angrily before snatching her bag from the ground and marching into her room, slamming the door shut.

"What is wrong with that girl's attitude?! I am her dad! It is natural for her to give me the money!" 

Li Yilan chucked her bag across the room, and it slammed against the cabinet before falling onto the ground. She didn't want to do this disgusting job either! If it weren't for the fact that her parents forced her for the money, why would she do it?! 

She plopped down onto the bed, slamming her fist against the soft cushion over and over again.

Why was her life like this?! Why did that An Luxia get such a good life?! She took everything away from her! If it weren't for her, she would be the one with a good family right now! She would be the one that won the school beauty contest!

Her life was ruined because of An Luxia!

Li Yilan's breathing quickened as she glared at the ceiling above her, her eyes boiling with rage. However, a few seconds later, the anger all disappeared. 

She narrowed her eyes as several ideas flashed past her mind, and a small grin crept up her face. An evil glint filled her eyes as her nails dug into the soft blanket and she took a long, deep breath. 

An Luxia. . . Why did she deserve to live a good life? 

Li Yilan scoffed.

She had a plan. 

A perfect plan.
