The Mysterious Black Magician

They heard the leader of the group say, "Right. All of you, surrender your System Deity!"

"The heck!?"

Everyone was bewildered upon hearing it.

If they surrender their System Deity to these people it was as if they had also surrendered their lives. What these people were asking for was not easy. All the Magicians in the venue were stunned to hear what the leader of the people in black had said.

The other members of the people in black seemed to notice the unpleasant atmosphere that suddenly oozed around them. Beads of sweat dripped down their bodies as they nervously looked around and at their leader.

One of them approached their leader and whispered. "B-Boss… I-I don't think they want to follow your command," said a man in black to their leader. However, he was obviously nervous as he said it.

The leader's face wrinkled. Maybe he also noticed the strange aura, oozing from the people who could manipulate mana.

The leader again pointed his gun barrel at Bob's head and without hesitation he used the gun handle to hit on Bob.

Thud!

Guh!

Bob's eyes seemed to pop out at that moment. He suddenly felt as if his head had been hit by something hard. His body also suddenly lost strength and his vision suddenly seemed to block out.

The next moment,

Thud!

Bob fell down and everyone was surprised at that moment, especially those who sat next to him.

"Bob!" Chloe exclaimed. Yana, on the other hand, turned pale. Rea was also surprised and gasped for breath.

The other people around immediately fell silent. Great shock could be seen in the expressions on their faces.

"Oi oi! If you are planning something against us, you better think it over!" The leader said coldly, indicating that he was serious with his words.

Other people around, especially students in the academy like them, could do nothing but grit their teeth loudly.

Because of the number of people who could die if they disobeyed the order of these people, they still could not do anything. They could only follow their demand, albeit it was infuriating. 

All the students who lost the competition had not been able to use resonance with their deity except those who gave up. Although there was an elixir that could speed up their recovery, none of them thought of drinking it because of the price of the said elixir. And one more thing, none of them expected such a tragedy to happen today.

Like everyone else, Bob was also currently not in resonance with his System Deity. So his sustained injury from the enemy leader's attack was a legit injury really. Due to the leader's sudden attack on him, Bob suddenly fainted.

When he lost consciousness, the leader picked up his System Deity which was sitting on the back of the upside down Bob.

A big smirk could be seen on the leader's face. In his mind, 'Hehe. It looks like I can make a lot of money with their System Deities.'

"Hehe," the leader laughed as he looked at Bob's System Deity which looked like a gorilla.

From under the black cloth, the leader grabbed a small object only the size of a coin. Its shape is hexagonal and has a strange red crystal on its surface. The object was known as the Neutralizer Crystal.

After it was glued to Bob's System Deity body the Neutralizer Crystal suddenly lit up. Bob's Deity, on the other hand, suddenly became sluggish as though its power source was slowly sucked dry. A moment later, it seemed it ran out of battery. This was the effect of the Neutralizer Crystal.

Seeing that the System Deity was no longer moving, he passed it on to his companion. He looked again at the people around him. "Now! If you don't want me to kill this young man and the other people around! Or even yourself! You better give up your System Deities!" Said the leader in a louder and colder voice.

More than a minute after the groups of people in black defeated the two guards at the gate of the city's tallest skyscraper, a gigantic bird landed right in front of the two unconscious guards.

Currently, the two were bathed in their own blood. From the gigantic bird, a young man with black hair jumped. His body was surrounded by what seemed to be black smoke. This young man was none other than Yman and his Hell Chaser Bird.

He looked at the two guards. He saw that they were no longer breathing and there was no sign of life from them. It looks like they were already dead.

Even though knowing that these two were already dead, there was no pity, sadness or any expression on his face. These two died bravely just to serve their duty,

Since they were upside down, Yman flipped one over. His face was calm and it seemed it wasn't the first time he saw lifeless bodies in his life. It even looked like he was used to seeing them.

First, he summoned one of his Third Version Bee Enhanced Firedoll to cast [Restoration Ability] on the corpse exterior by biting on it. The wounds and any visible injuries were immediately restored. Though, they were still dead. 

After doing so, next, he pointed his palm at the mouth of the corpse. From his hand, those black objects that seemed like smoke entered the mouth of a corpse. This black smoke was actually his overflowing mana. It only becomes active if he activates this state that other people call Black Magician.

Honestly, for him, the name sounds so cringe. But he doesn't know any good names for this state of him. So maybe Black Magician Mode was fine.

He was not really picky about names. Nonetheless, in this mode, he alone has control over his body. Sistela couldn't even peek at what he was doing because she was sent straight to her Soul Domain every time Yman activates this state. The Soul Domain was the dimension where his mana was and where the Demon of Possession was confined.

After the black mana enters inside the corpse's body, suddenly, a different holographic screen appeared in front of Yman's eyes. This time, it's no longer bluish-green, but yellowish-orange.

Inside the holographic screen could be seen the DatS (Soul Data) of the corpse and other details. DatS was the data about the soul within the human body.

Yman was a little surprised when he read the DatS of the corpse. Although his heart and other major organs had stopped functioning, he found that his soul force was still active in the body.

He seems to be right in his suspicion that even if a person dies his Soul Force will still remain for a few seconds, minutes, hours, days, or months. He didn't know the exact length of time the Soul Force will remain active but that doesn't matter at the moment.

Yman came here because he just wanted to try something. After fighting the bad bacteria inside his body, he suddenly thought about a skill that he thought could work. Though, he was not sure. He wanted to test on these corpses so he could see if what he thought was possible.

According to the corpse's DatS, it looks like its brain was still working as well. Even the memories of the corpse were still there. It seemed that what he knew before was right. To his knowledge, the human brain remains active for 10 minutes after a person's death. So, in this case, that seems right.

The heart has stopped functioning. Of all the vital parts within the human body, these two are the ones Yman could say were the most important.

As long as the brain remains active, Yman believed he could try to reactivate the heart's function through his [Modifying Ability].

Yman also notices that the Soul Force of the corpse weakens every second that passes. So he wasted no more time and using his [Black Mana], he summoned microorganisms inside the corpse body.

Thanks to the data he learned when he fought the bad bacteria, now it was no longer difficult for him to summon microscopic living organisms because he already had a model inside his mind.

That's right. What inspired him for the new skill he thought of was the bacteria.

To repair the interior damage of the corpse, he made sure that every single one of those living microorganisms was able to use [Restoration Ability]. This was to restore the interior parts to their healthy condition.

At this moment, Yman spread Microorganisms Enhanced Firedolls inside the corpse body. In his Black Magician Mode, it was easy for him to control his mana.

After spreading all the Microorganisms Enhanced Firedolls inside the corpse, Yman simultaneously enabled the [Restoration Ability].

Some numbers in the corpse's DatS started to show changes.

In the monitor,

Nervous System: 100% Healthy

Brain: 100% Healthy

Heart: 100% Healthy (Mal)

Kidney: 100% Healthy

...etcetera…

All the major parts of the human body finally showed 100% health. However, he noticed that the corpse still not awakened and some of them showed (Mal) status which represents Malfunction. Also, from [Dead] status, it was now had [Preserve] Status.

Yman finally furrowed.

Although he was successful in restoring the external parts and internal organs' conditions, it seemed some of his internal parts showed Malfunction status.

He wondered what was lacking.
