The Extra's Survival
Lucas observed the situation with his next slash, the monsters who seemed to be frozen started to move and tried to resist the attack. But that didn't mean it was Lucas's enemy.
Fredrick, who was watching the situation asks "Lucas, how long were these monsters were paralyzed."
"Ahem!!About sevens seconds or so. Some freed before."Lucas answered as he noticed the other knights in the vicinity looking at him.
"It depends on the monster's strength, the stronger ones would be able to resist and would be able to move shortly." Lucas further added.
"Still that was quite an innovative move. Those who have lightning elements can try to imitate him. We can hold them with this type of attack while others will try to take them down." A knight spoke as he signalled others to fall back and asked the ones to attack like Fredrick.
Alabaster smiled as he looked at the new type of attack. The way things were progressing, the situation was not optimistic for them. They are starting to get worn out and in the moment of crisis, it can give them some time to accommodate.
Lucas remembered that there was a particular spell called Paralyser that sends the electric shocks in a circle waveform around the area.
It has a wide range and little power. Instead of packing the lightning to form an offensive attack, Paralyser spread the lightning through the enemy's body, electrocuting them which has the effect of paralyzing the target and preventing them from moving around for some moments.
Everyone knows how precious a second is on the battlefield. A second can determine the tide of the battle.
The only thing they had to do now was to use the Paralyser and work with the knights to turn the tide of the battle.
"Listen everyone. From now try to use the magic just like Fredrick and stun your opponents."Alabaster shouted as he gave the orders.
" I am not sure what to do, but I'll try to do my best."The knights spoke.
"Be careful the enemy will move after 5 seconds, so try to withdraw at three seconds for safety." Lucas's loud voice drifted across the battlefield.
Lucas didn't want these hot blood knights to lose the track of time in the attack and forget that the Paralyser is just a momentary lapse.
The knights that know the lightning started to use the lightning on thier swords and dashed toward the monsters.
Jumping up, they pierce their sword on the ground, emitting a shock wave of lightning that is followed by thundering noises as the shock wave spreads throughout the vast plains blasting away the monsters in the process.
The monster's eyes were widened with horror as they were hit by the waves of lightning.
They felt a spasm of contractions in their bodies as if their lost their ability muscle didn't receive any signal from their brain. No matter how much strength they try to pour into thier limbs, they couldn't move even an inch.
Their entire bodies seemed to be frozen and their bodies felt numb. Before they could understand what was happening, they saw a sword flash on them as blood splattered ending their lives.
The knights use the greatest opportunity, to kill the monsters that couldn't move and then move back away from the monsters as the time of stun was over, leaving the others to use Paralyser again and then charged toward the monsters trying to kill as many as they can within five seconds of the stun.
"We have a chance to win."
"Let's go."
Lucas looked at the lightning user and secretly envied it as they saw how useful lightning was.
Till now, he hadn't seen any lightning type of skills in the shop. Lucas inwardly swears that after he returns, he will learn a lightning type of spell and try to manipulate lightning.
'Lightening is cool.'Lucas thought as he continuously wield his sword at the forefront while Fredrick used the Paralyser again and again.
"I am sure the instructors in Horizon would be shocked if they saw what these kids have done." Alabaster smiled as he looked at the future generations of their kingdoms.
Around Alabaster who was secretly smiling, there were many corpses of monsters. Looking at the place where all of them were killed with a single blow and there was not a single drop of blood at all.
....
The annihilation of the monsters was going on smoothly and went quite well but still, a problem arose.
The knights who were controlling the battlefield using magic were now exhausted.
Fighting physically and using magic had left them exhausted.
Sweating in anguish, they tried to fire the Paralyser repeatedly since they found it's quite effective.
This was the reason their mana was reaching near the limit. It seemed a good idea at first but now after trying it several times, they were quickly exhausted and even after taking the potions they weren't able to refill their strength to the fullest and not many potions were left for them to use.
The amount of magic power they had already reached the bottom and if they fired a few more shots, they would have no energy left in their body to even move around let alone wield their sword.
As Alabaster noticed the situation, he said "Fall back. I will take them. head-on."
Alabaster raised his sword and leapt towards the place where all the monsters were concentrated.
Till now no one had seen Alabaster's true strength. Very few know his strength and weakness.
Lucas was quite intrigued by him and wanted to know his abilities. Since he is a noble, he would surely have a higher grade bloodline so there is a very high chance that he had an ability.
Lucas wanted to know what kind of ability Alabaster has. He had seen him fighting, from the beginning.
Alabaster is only leaning on his defence and is only defending against the attacks still he saw corpses near him lying down.
As Alabaster stood in the middle, he closed his eyes and took a deep and heavy.
His surrounding turned dim and the sounds around him ceased to exist. Except for the monsters, his senses seemed to ignore everything around him.
pᴀɴda nᴏvel Inside his inner world, he marked the monsters that were approaching him.
Now, he was standing in a place filled with darkness with no one around. Slowly small ripples started to appear from the surrounding darkness, followed by it many ripples started to form as if someone was stepping into the pond of still water which had not been touched for a century.
Following the ripples, the darkness started to disappear and a sea of water was formed with no landmass inside. On the ripples, reflections of various types of creatures were formed and their images started to appear on the other side of the lake.
Alabaster started to pant heavily as his breathing become ragged.
What seemed to like an eternity for him was only a moment in reality. After emerging himself into the so-called peaceful inner world, he opened his eyes.
As soon as his eyes opened, his pupil glowed and a huge pressure descended on him.
The pressure that emitted out from his body was invisible, intangible and was physical untouchable, the pressure didn't affect the place in which he was standing nor there was any shockwave reverted from his body.
Still, the knight and Lucas who were fairway felt an unknown fear of danger.
Lucas's pupil contracted and his hair stood up and he shivered a little, taking a step back. He felt as if many invisible things were attacking him but he couldn't figure out from which place the attack was carried out.
After some time the intangible pressure emitted from Albaster's body subsided followed by many small thuds were heard as many bodies of monsters fall on the ground without making a noise.
The monster was not given a chance to even scream or resist, they were just rushing towards Alabaster as he closed his eyes, they thought they have caught the human off guard but who knows within a moment all of them running toward them died without making a single noise.
Not a single drop of blood appeared on their bodies nor there were any signs of cuts or wounds.
"What kind of shit was that," Lucas muttered. He was horrified by the way Alabaster dealt with the monsters before him.
Leave Lucas even, even Hugo who was at peak 6-Star felt that he was going to die from the pressure. This was the first time he felt something like that.
With this only one-fifth of the monsters were left and they were just weakling ones and could be daily taken care of if things go well.
Just as everyone was lost in thoughts Babak spoke"That was a spiritual attack with which Lord Alabaster can do mental attacks that can directly damage your soul."
His voice snapped everyone out of their thoughts.
"Soul attack," Lucas frowned as he repeated the words.
Soul attacks were quite tricky. Unless you have a higher level or a strong soul this type of attack could take you down easily and even if you were able to survive these attacks, there is no guarantee that your soul will come out unscathed.
But what was even more fearsome was that the attacker had to suffer severe repercussions.
Just as Lucas was thinking about it, he saw Alabaster coughed a mouthful of blood and blood started to come out from his orifices.
"My Lord." The Knight shouted panickily and ran towards Alabaster.
