Chapter 96
96 Roast King
Zi Han who had been caught doing something he didn’t initially intend to do in the first place pursed his lips as he withdrew his hand from Yi Chen and sat down properly.
He was embarrassed but Yi Chen detected a hint of grievance in Zi Han’s expression. He suddenly felt a little guilty. Maybe he should have let him touch it? Would that make Zi Han happy?
With this thought in mind, he wanted to tell him to go ahead and touch but before he could say it the bell rang and the announcement to assemble at the training room was repeated consecutively on the floating screen.
The class was suddenly boisterous and everyone got up to their feet and prepared for their favorite subject in the entire academy. Yi Chen took out buttermilk candy as he walked out of the door.
Li Ran who had hurried over to ask what was the deal between him and Zi Han saw the candy and instantly forgot his question.
Noticing that familiar greedy expression Yi Chen took out another one and gave it to Li Ran but before Li Ran could take it Zi Han hastily walked past them and took it away without a word.
The two people were dumbfounded. They just watched as Zi Han swaggered away with his group of misfits while unwrapping the piece of candy. Yi Chen’s adam’s apple bobbed up and down before he asked Li Ran, “Do you think he knows his provocation comes off as something else?”
Li Ran who was weeping internally after being robbed didn’t even hear his question. He just stretched out his hand asking for another. Yi Chen glanced at his hand and said nothing before walking away.
When they reached the locker room for the training arena the place was especially wild with boys changing in the open while chatting it up.
.....
One can only imagine the type of conversation they were having in the locker room and no, it wasn’t about girls. They were making fun of each other’s muscles and one could understand why.
Some had chicken legs for arms, others had little round tummy pouches and others were beef cakes.
Strength in the federation was determined by one’s mental power not muscle strength but that didn’t mean these childish beings wouldn’t roast each other. And who was in the forefront? It was none other than Zi Han. If he wasn’t a sharpshooter his mother would confer to him the title of Roast King.
Amid their boisterous laughter, a red haired boy next to Evan taunted Zi Han, “You are one to talk. How about you take off your blouse and show us. I bet you are no worse than my stick figure arms.”
Zi Han who had taken off Yi Chen’s jacket hung it in his locker while saying, “This man in a blouse has bigger guns than you.... here,” flexing his arm before continuing, “and down south as well.”
The locker room that had quietened down just now instantly blew up with the red haired boy laughing with Evan. Yi Chen just ignored them but his stomach felt like it had been punched.
As he slowly unbuttoned his shirt the feeling wore off but it was soon replaced with a feeling of anger. He didn’t even know why he was angry but all he knew was that he was quite livid. This feeling only got worse when the red haired spoke again.
“Then how about you pull up your skirt and we can compare who is bigge-.”
BANG!
He didn’t get to finish because a shirtless Yi Chen had just slammed his locker shut with a loud bang that made everyone flinch. After throwing such a tantrum he walked to the other partition in the locker room where they had the showers. Yi Chen felt his face was hot so he went to the sink to cool himself down.
After their class leader threw such a tantrum everyone hurriedly changed before scattering like flies. Even Li Ran was nowhere to be seen in this situation. That’s because he didn’t want to be caught up in hurricane Chen. It rarely happened but when it did happen everyone should evacuate if they know what’s good for them.
Yi Chen clenched the sides of the sink with water droplets dripping down his hair and face. His chest was undulating deeply as he closed his eyes calming his mind. He prided himself as a person with great self-restraint and endurance.
No matter how upsetting a situation was he wouldn’t explode. He would keep his emotions in check and approach the problem calmly and rationally. This meant that when he was angry he would rarely show it. But ever since he met Zi Han his walls kept crumbling down.
The first time they met he lost himself in the moment and his emotions were influenced by Zi Han so much that they got into a fight. Now those boys just said a few joking words to Zi Han and he lost his shit. This kind of reaction was so unprecedented that he couldn’t believe it.
Yi Chen grabbed a towel from his storage space and walked back into the locker room while patting his face dry.
The locker room was empty. It seemed after his tantrum everyone scattered in an instant including Li Ran. He opened up his locker intending to take out his training gear when,
BAM!!!
The door of his locker was slammed shut and he was met by Zi Han’s livid face. Because he was still a little angry Yi Chen didn’t indulge him. He opened his locker door that had been slammed so many times today that you would think it would break from its hinges.
Zi Han licked his canine tooth feeling a little annoyed. With his back leaning against the locker he asked, “What exactly is your problem?” while staring at Yi Chen who was putting on his uniform.
Yi Chen didn’t respond. He carried on doing what he was doing further infuriating Zi Han. Since he didn’t want to be late for his first training Zi Han walked to his locker while unbuttoning his blouse. When he was taking off his arm from the sleeve Yi Chen who had been silent just now suddenly spoke.
“You should go change in one of the private showers,” said Yi Chen in a low tone but that’s all it took for this firecracker to explode.
Zi Han, “Excuse me?!”
Yi Chen, ‘Shit!’
It was at this moment that he knew he had fucked up.
Countdown to Zi Han’s complete meltdown begins now....
