Chapter 93
93 Untimely death
The beautiful sunrise reflecting upon Capital Star’s magnificent splendor brought forth a new week promising great progress. But for Zi Han, it only brought forth vengeance, not vengeance upon himself but on someone else.
Whoever sent him those messages was going to be a dead man it’s just that he had to find out who it was first. He sat cross legged in his chair tapping his light brain to find the blocked contact.
With a few taps, he found it and shuffled towards Shorty who was panickingly doing his assignment due in a few hours. “Hey Shorty... do you know whose number this is?” he asked while showing him the blocked number.
Shorty raised his head and only took a short glimpse before replying, “No, I don’t think so. You can ask around... someone must know.”
“Oh, did you finish your language assignment? This younger brother spent his entire weekend challenging people to mech battles on the virtual network that I completely forgot I had an assignment.”
Zi Han who was already looking for someone else to ask glanced at him with a smug smile and said, “Yeah I finished it yesterday. Would you like to copy it?”
As he asked this he leaned in closer with his bare knees bumping onto Shorty’s leg making him nervous. The way Zi Han’s intoxicating fox eyes stared at him made his heart beat quicken not out of interest but purely out of fear.
He felt like with that one look his soul was getting sucked out of his body. This person was indeed a temptress. Just as Shorty thought he was going to sell his soul to Zi Han, Zi Han’s eyes were covered by a slender hand with long fingers and a ring with an insignia on its middle finger.
Shorty patted his chest and heaved a sigh while turning back to do his assignment. Zi Han was irritated but the person didn’t touch his face directly hence he couldn’t explode with anger.
.....
Swallowing down his annoyance he turned around and looked behind him. It was that blonde haired boy again and he was smiling at him like a mischievous tiger. Evan pressed his palm on Zi Han’s desk and said, “You shouldn’t look at people like that otherwise they would easily fall in love,” with a low chuckle.
Zi Han raised his brow while turning his body towards him with the hem of his skirt sliding a little showing more of his thigh. Evan’s smile stiffened seeing those frosty eyes staring at a specific part of his lower body with a hint of maliciousness.
The threat was obvious thus he subconsciously took a step back. “Well..... are you falling in love right now?” asked Zi Han his gaze slowly looking up his body stopping when he met Evan’s line of sight.
Evan pulled back his arm on Zi Han’s desk and cleared his throat before replying, “Nope, not at all.”
“Good,” replied Zi Han his temperament changing back to what it was like before. Looking at that joyous smile you wouldn’t think it was the same person threatening to burst Evan’s balls just now.
Zi Han turned back to the pair of twins sitting behind him and asked, “Do you two know who this belongs to?”
Shannon who was putting scrunches on her brother’s hair stopped as Shaun raised his head from the desk. The two stared at the floating screen before shaking their heads. “No, maybe you can ask the vice class president she might know,” replied Shannon before proceeding with messing with her brother’s hair.
Shaun who had endured it for so long said, “Haven’t you had enough yet? My scalp is sore,” trying to take one of them out.
“No, I haven’t had enough now lie down otherwise I will tell mum you bullied me,” she said while gently pressing his head down urging him to go back to sleep, “There, there that’s a good boy..... now stay still.”
Zi Han who watched this mini theater was so amused by the dynamics of their relationship. His gaze lingered on the pink pouch she was taking scrunchies out of and asked, “Out of pure interest..... how many of those do you have in there?”
“Too many to count,” replied Shaun in a muffled voice. Shannon smiled happily while picking a pink one.
“Do you want it?” she asked offering it to him.
“But I have short hair. It wouldn’t be of any use to me,” he replied but he still reached out his hand and took it, “Thanks.”
“I know whose contacts it is,” said that familiar deep voice while Zi Han was still putting on the scrunchie on his wrist. Zi Han who thought he had left already turned to look at him his attitude better than before.
“Who?” he asked only for Evan to point in a certain direction. Yi Chen was also looking in their direction his expression gloomy like someone owed him billions. But what else was new? This guy always looked like this like he had malware installed in his brain.
He had seen everything and his good mood from seeing Zi Han this morning was thoroughly ruined. Only the heavens know how much he wanted to knock out Evan when he saw their interaction. He had the sudden urge to skin Evan alive but he held back and could only clench his fist to calm his nerves.
What he didn’t expect though was that Zi Han would take the initiative to stare at him but from his expression, he could clearly tell Zi Han was upset about something. But like a masochist, he didn’t care if Zi Han was angry with him.
To him, attention was attention no matter what it was as long as Zi Han could only look at him and no one else.
When Zi Han stood up Yi Chen quickly looked away reason being he didn’t want to look at those tantalizing thighs. If he does he might want to take a bite which will undoubtedly result in an untimely death.
What he didn’t expect though was for Zi Han to stand right in front of his desk his hands grasping either side of it. Yi Chen’s chest tightened with his line of sight directly falling on Zi Han’s waist.
