The Assassin's Enemy Lover

Chapter 488

488 President of the henpecked husbands association

Okay, okay, he wasn’t upset at all. It’s not like his son whom he raised diligently and spent so much time with only remembered someone he had only been with for a couple of years was such a bad thing?

Okay false, he was really dying inside. He couldn’t help but wonder what sort of love portion did Zi Han feed his son that he didn’t even remember his family but only remembered him.

“You... do you at least remember your mother and your siblings?” he asked his voice raspy.

Yi Chen was a little embarrassed hearing this question. Zi Han had told him he had two siblings and a mum and dad that loved each other but despite knowing all of this his past remained blank like a sheet of paper.

“I don’t remember them but my wife told me about them,” he said and Yi Zhen almost rolled his eyes. There was that word again. Whose idea was it, Zi Han’s or his son’s?

Based on what he knew about the pair it must have been Zi Han’s idea. That one was a bad influence. Zi Han who had been wronged sneezed twice and his father said to him,

“Shake it off. You are fine.”

“Do you... do you want to talk to them?” he said and Yi Chen just stared at him wondering why this man wasn’t hugging him.

Yes, they were in mechs but he had hugged Zi Han in a mech so it was indeed possible, but just a little awkward.

.....

Raylan moved a little close and before Hydra knew what hit it it was embraced. Yi Zhen was a little startled. He really didn’t expect that his son would hug him. Yi Chen would hug his mother and siblings but never hugged him. Most of that was his fault. He couldn’t remember a time after he sent his son to preschool for the first time that he hugged his son. That day Yi Chen was making a fuss while holding his finger tightly with his tiny hands.

He told him that he had to be brave and from the moment he walked through those doors he was a big boy now. There was no more whining and crying for hugs. Okay, so it was all his fault. The most amount of intimacy he had with his son was through practice in the simulation room and that was about it.

Now his son who barely remembered anything actually hugged him. It was as though he had gotten back that little dumpling who used to attach himself to him whenever he came back from work.

Yi Zhen didn’t fight it. He much preferred the embrace without mechs but at this moment he could only take what he could get. The hug was longer than what he expected.

That’s because Yi Chen who thought he was alone in this world finally saw his family and his heart couldn’t help but swell. He wanted to cry but swallowed it down. He had a dad, a mum, a brother, and a sister who loved him so much and wanted him thus his reaction.

After separating Yi Zhen couldn’t help but ask him, “Do you want to go on Cetus warship and will get a doctor to check you? After that, you can talk to your mother. She hasn’t slept well and had to be sedated.”

Yi Chen wanted to do that but his steps faltered. That’s because he was worried about Zi Han. He wanted to be with Zi Han and should bring him along but he had no idea where he was.

“I want to find Han Han,” he said with a little stubbornness in his voice.

Yi Zhen was at a loss. His son was most definitely a henpecked husband without having gotten married.

“It’s fine. He is probably still dealing with the beast. Don’t you want to get your memory back before you see him again? I am sure he would love that,” he said sounding like a father trying to lure his disobedient son and make him break up with his shrewish girlfriend.

Yi Chen also felt that Zi Han would like that thus he didn’t fight it. “Just right him a message and tell him where I am. I don’t want him to worry,” he said and Yi Zhen couldn’t help but internally repeat the word,

‘Henpecked! Henpecked!’ several times in his head.

Yi Zhen smiled slightly and said, “I will message him in the warship,” but Yi Chen stubbornly refused to move. He wasn’t going to move until that message was sent.

Yi Zhen, “...”

“Do I look like I am an old uncle here to abduct children?” he said trying not to get angered to death by this disrespectful son.

“Kind of. You have been mean to my wife so...,” replied Yi Chen and Yi Zhen pressed the tip of his tongue on his sharp canine tooth.

“Is that what he told you? I have been nothing but....,” he said before shutting his mouth. He couldn’t lie to him because he knew his son would find out soon. He couldn’t help but sigh. Of course, Zi Han would snitch on him. He had been very mean to him over the years because he was afraid of the trouble that would come to their door.

Despite all this, trouble still came to their door so why bother to pull them apart? Besides he was now indebted to Zi Han. That young man loved his son so much that he attempted something dangerous without any experience just so that he could get him back.

“Fine, I will message him now,” he said and began to type out a message in the middle of the cold blizzard.

Yi Zhen: Hie, this is Yi Zhen. I have Yi Chen and I am getting him checked on the Cetus warship. Call me if you want to speak to him.

“There is that good enough?” he asked and Yi Chen added something in there.

“Tell him that I love him,” he said ignoring how stiff and cold his father’s sentences were. If this was the way he messages his mother she must have fallen for his face, not his flirting skills.

“I am not going to write that. It’s between you two. When you get your light brain back you can tell him yourself,” he said.
