Chapter 142: The Primal Sorcerers And The Heart Of Desmodeus
Chapter 142: The Primal Sorcerers And The Heart Of Desmodeus
The old man was correct. Res has always been using the portals to enter and exit the place but this time he didn't use that.
He just walked out of the door which showed how frustrated he was which was kind of understandable.
Res was not a fan was saving others just like that because he knew how cruel the humans could be.
Moreover he seemed to have some special grudge or something against Jay.
It couldn't be exactly called as a grudge, rather it was some sort of embarrassment or shame which he felt every time he went that way.
That was why, when Young asked him to guard Jay for a while, he was quite hesitant.
Even now he declined the job of helping him or teaching him something.
'Tsk, I don't care about him... why should I even help him in getting stronger?', Res wondered and walked away.
MEANWHILE...
"I won't forgive them... no matter what happens I will definitely kill them!!!"
Jay was completely angry on the sorcerers as it seemed like they were the ones who had turned Sera into a statue.
However Jay was even more frustrated because he wasn't even aware of when and how they did this.
Eventually Jay sera was smiling and talking with both Jay and his mom, but then after sometime she stopped speaking.
Jay thought that this all might have happened in the hospital itself but he failed to understand as to what was the need to doing this.
Although the sorcerers night have wanted to revenge or might have wanted to exterminate Jay, they could have just turned him into a statue without actually looking at Serena or someone else.
But it seemed as if everything got cleared the moment Jay read whatever was written in the letter.
'Yo, you might be the so called Dark Overlord! By now you might have revived our present, just come to the place from where you took away the blacksmith if you want your sister alive. It was just a sample of what we could do, she is with us and if you don't come here, she would end up like the statue'
That was what the letter said in reading which Jay because annoyed and got furious.
It wasn't exactly specified that it was from the sorcerers but he somehow deducted that and understood that right now only the sorcerers could be the one to do this.
Because of that he was furious and wanted to slam them into the wall as soon as possible but right now he had to stay calm.
"My liege, please be patient, we are...", Sebas was trying to console Jay and he was just listening to that.
It seemed like Jay after exiting the hospital, entered the dungeon which he owned.
He didn't want to hear what they had to say but they were by no means wrong and because of that he heard them and remained quiet.
Even Rick who was supposedly younger than him and Wolfy too tried to say that to him.
Jay took deep breath and calmed himself after hearing to them.
Then he immediately turned towards the small Akaluman and asked, "Hey, can you tell me who these sorcerers are?"
Akaluman heard that and kept quiet for a while.
Jay was going to ask again when all of a sudden Akaluman started to speak.
"Sorcerers are a sort of magicians... but it is believed that their powers transcends any average magic caster!"
The moment Jay heard that, he understood that they were nothing more than some advanced magicians.
"But there is one more thing that separates Sorcerers and Magicians...", was what Akaluman said.
"Huh?", Jay stared at Akaluman with expectant expression.
"While magicians use mana purely... Sorcerers have been imbued with the souls of the ancient ones...", was what Akaluman said.
"Huh! What do you...", Jay was confused and wanted to ask him as what he meant by telling that, but then all of a sudden he realized what the dragon meant.
'Souls of the ancient ones... could it be?', he thought and took a look at the locket which was actually the soul cage.
Inside that there was a soul which was of S rank and was called the 'Dormant soul of the sorcerer of Time And Space.'
Just by hearing the title that was given to the soul, Jay could somewhat understand that it was not that if any ordinary person.
"Ah? You have got the soul cage?", Akaluman asked.
"Yes..."
When Akaluman mey Rick and was when explained about what had happened, he understood that Hay had met the Dark blacksmith. But he wasn't aware that Jay had also laid his hands on the soul cage.
But the dragon was curious to what Jay was staring at so he asked, "But what are you staring at it for?"
Jay looked towards Akaluman and said, "I was just taking a look at the soul of the sorcerer of time and space..."
"Huh...?"
All of a sudden there was complete silence and Jay kept staring at the locket.
He then turned his gazes at Akaluman who was in turn staring at Jay.
He felt s but awkward and changed his direction of vision towards Sebas only to find that Sebas had his gazes fixated on Jay too.
He was now confused as to why they were staring at him in such a way as if he said something horrible.
He asked, "What happened? Did I say something wrong?"
The dragon then slowly started to laugh and then his laughter increased to maximum degree which ended up shaking the whole dungeon despite his small size.
"Hahaha!!! I can't believe it!!! You have seized your hands on one of the twelve primal sorcerers? Haha!"
"Eh?", Jay now got confused about the so called primal sorcerers which Akaluman mentioned of.
He knew that Jeff was without a doubt powerful and the power of having time and space under someone's grasp his not a joke.
So he did expect Akaluman to tell something that would compliment Jay but quite the opposite happened.
Instead of complimenting, the dragon was actually confusing him by giving new terms to which he wasn't accustomed to.
"What do you mean by Primal Sorcerers?", Jay asked.
Akaluman initially stared at Jay and then said, "Primal Sorcerers are those who were the very first sorcerers to exist! They are believed to be the strongest of all the sorcerer..."
The moment Jay heard that, he could understand how great a feat he had accomplished.
Moreover, he had now the power of one of the strongest sorcerer which he could use anytime he wanted by using the skill 'Soul possession' and adding the being into his army.
"This is truly awesome..." Jay said in a low voice.
"Yes, but They have a Grudge again humanity...", was what Akaluman said.
"Huh? Grudge?", Jay asked.
"Yes, they want to completely eradicate the human society!"
Jay understood what Akaluman said, but then again if that was possible then they would have done it by now.
They wouldn't have delayed it till now. That was what Jay was thinking and was wondering what they wanted from the dark blacksmith.
He didn't have much time either and wanted to save Sera who was a hostage right now.
Jay asked, "Then can you tell me what they wanted from the Dark Blacksmith?"
Akaluman became quiet and wondered the same. He too wasn't sure of what they actually wanted.
Then all of a sudden, Rick began speaking, "They were asking Master to make 'THAT'."
"Huh?", Jay, Akaluman and Sebas including Katherine, all four of them were confused by what Rick said.
Jay recalled that Rick was also with the blacksmith till now so he would have some idea about it and probably that was what he was trying to tell.
But Jay and the others had no idea by what he meant by saying 'That'.
"What is this thing that you are talking about?", Jay asked.
Rick looked at Jay and the with a calm gaze said, "The Heart Of Desmodus..."
"Huh? What's that?", Jay had no idea about what Rick said.
But then he observed that Sebas, Katherine and Akaluman has become quiet the moment they heard that.
In fact the other vampire ministers or others who were present and were just walking here and there while doing something became shocked the moment they heard that.
The entire dungeon felt quiet for some reason just by hearing that.
"I too don't know what's that... Master never told me.", Rick said.
Jay understood that he had to know this without fail because for some reason he felt as if this was somewhat related to why they had kidnapped his sister.
It seemed something dangerous and since it could actually make Akaluman mum, he wanted to know about it.
"Tell me, what is this thing that Rick said...", Jay asked.
Akaluman didn't wanted to tell Jay about this right now but after looking at how stubborn Jay was, he ended up saying it forcibly.
The moment when Jay heard that, shivers ran down his spine.
"What... did you say?"
"..."
To be continued...
