Chapter 17 17: Rebecca L-Mayer
A shiny red sports car was sitting at the eastern entrance, its engine humming gently as it seemed to be waiting; many people took pictures and fantasised about being with the wonder, but the tinted windows stopped them from being there and seeing who owned it.
Today Amon chose the one with regular licence plates so it wouldn't be evident that it was him.
At the same time, Elma took the specialised one to avoid any stupid issues at his mother's company, as only he owned that customised car and licence plate in this city.
Amon was sitting at the entrance of his old university, where the elite was born and those who worked hard to reach this level with their efforts mixed; today was an important task, meeting an old friend and classmate of nearly 10 years.
Two days ago, her life was turned on its head as her mother was found to be critically ill and needed an expensive operation; without a father to support them and no savings to even dream of getting her mother help.
Rebbeca Lily Mayer was currently desperate to find someone to help her.
'I would have forgotten this small even if not for her text last night while attacking the Germanian tiger from the southern front..'
- Message from "Rebecca L-Mayer last message received 1 year ago.
Hello Amon, I apologise for the sudden message after cutting out contact due to my boyfriend being extremely jealous; if you could find it in your heart to forgive me and meet me today at the university's east entrance... I would be very grateful.
Please... I am desperate for help.

In the original novel, Amon ignored this with an arrogant scoff, the entire thing a mere two-sentence spat in the story.
Yet, this rejection is what led to the demise of the girl who was his close friend for a decade, never caring about his money or treating him differently; of course, there was a gap in their class, and it caused some issues, but she was one of Amon's friends growing up.
Also, in the novel's prologue, when introducing Amon and Rebecca, it mentions that he was courting her before Ethan and she began dating, painting Amon to be some creep, as Rebecca blocked his number at Ethan's request.
'The supreme being is an actual moron... If someone like me courted that girl, would she say no? That girl... No, let's forget it; the world is different; what are their true feelings and intentions? How can I know due to those damn countless memories of that shitty story?'
Shaking his head, he tapped the black steering wheel, noticing the sudden click of his passenger door.
While many of the surrounding students began to gasp and make noise, the braver tried to sneak inside, only to glimpse a handsome man's profile, his violet eyes looking at them with a sharp glare as they fell to their asses.
Amon leaned over, helping Rebecca sit inside, momentarily touching her soft thighs and buttocks.
The beautiful girl with a high ponytail to the side, wearing a white blouse, with a black suit jacket and skirt, likely attending a job interview or something earlier today as she looked towards him.
Her peach lips tightly pursed, watching him with her emerald green eyes, glistening with life. She wore glossy black high-heels on her feet as she lifted her legs into the car, cracking her neck from side to side as she relaxed.
A fleeting touch and for once accidental; as she sat down too quickly before leaning back in the soft black leather, her chest seemed to race with erratic breathing as he pulled the seatbelt tightly across her chest, her abundant bosom making him have to remove more before it clicked tightly as Rebecca grabbed the belt like a lifeguard.
"Oh my god! Isn't that the campus queen Rebecca Mayer!?" A fat girl said with shock, her voice purposely loud, wanting to cause more drama.
"Hey, isn't she dating that trash pizza delivery boy, Ethan? Hahaha!"
"Even the hard-working queen needs a nice rich man to satisfy her needs. Poor Cuckold Ethan."
Slowly the heavy door closed as the gossip of others was drowned out by the howling of his engine as he left the university campus.
Amon's attitude was polite and gentlemanly; this girl was not just his friend growing up but also his first crush in the novel world.
He believed her to have given her virginity to Ethan despite their promise as younger teens, so he harshly rejected her and never even bothered to help her mother, who was always kind to him.
'Supreme being... If you are still alive, I'll kick your ass and make you a cuckold!'

Today's journey wasn't decided, but he had already texted Elma and said he would meet her at Ming Xue's place at 7 pm. Currently, it was only 3 pm, so they had a while.
Rebecca was a nice girl, the one before the story. She didn't care about his expensive gifts, only the handmade ones he would craft. So he drove his car at a gentle pace, not too fast or slow; Amon knew what she likely needed but desperately wanted to avoid asking.
It was a happy and special memory for him of all timelines.
Maybe something so simple was why he desired to save her, not because of Ethan or because she was tragic and beautiful. It was because she was his first love and accepted him as Amon, not the young master of the Winchester family.
They zoomed past the old stores that used to be small candy shops; old grandmother Maobo would give them extra sweets for their money, even if it weren't enough, only wanting them to sit and chat with her for a few minutes.
"Hey, remember..."
"Amon.. Do you remember..."
"Haha..."
"Fufu..."
The pair spoke simultaneously as his car slowed down, stopping on the empty pavement; thankfully, there were no double lines to say he couldn't, the gentle hum of the engine now their quiet and peaceful background music.
"Do you remember when we stayed at Grandma Maobo's house and almost got sick from all the candy and juice?" Amon laughed, his face no longer like the proud black dragon but a youthful and boisterous Amon from the past.
"Grandma Maobo, right? Did you know her daughter is now 47? She was so young and pretty when we were kids!" Rebecca chirped, seeming more relaxed, her legs no longer tightly clenched.
"Haha... you asked me to go toilet with you... How did you not know I was a girl until then!?" She joked, remembering seeing the first penis in her life, almost half scared as it was like a snake with a thick head.
"Oi... I was self-conscious for years because you said it was big and deformed... Now it's a blessing, though, haha!"
"Shush! Just because it's big... I bet you're still a stupid virgin young master! Well, it's more than double the size... Ahem..."
"Oh? Speaking about your loverboy now, haha! Are you both doing well?"
"Uhm... Can I remain silent?"
"No problem, I don't want to hear about my first love's sex life either, haha!"
"Eh?"
He threw in specific information to soften the mood and test her reactions. Amon wasn't sure how to save Rebecca; would he throw money at her or offer her a job that could help?
Amon needed to understand her of this world to know the best route.
"Me too..." Her face turned to face the window, showing a downcast look as she tightly grasped her skirt, whispering the words into the wind as if releasing a hidden curse and weight from her chest.
"How is your mother?" Amon asked, his face watching the road, wanting to know if everything was identical; what if the problem this time was something new? Wouldn't that mean his knowledge might be completely useless?
Rebecca's body shuddered before looking back at him, her eyes wet, but she didn't speak, wouldn't plea to him. Her teeth sounded as she gritted them together and wiped her eyes, trying to look as normal as possible to him.
"Can we... Can we find somewhere to talk while eating? I'm a little hungry..."
'Don't show such a sad look... If you asked for money, I would gladly help you out. That vulnerable look makes me want to devour you whole... the evil dragon inside me wants to twist my feelings for an old friend when you look so delicious...'
Amon smiled and nodded; the fact his mind and heart were fighting a battle against themselves was impossible to tell as the car shot into the distance faster than before.
Rebecca sank back into the seat while Amon's face became focused a little cold as they rushed towards a distant cafe with private rooms.
"Let's go eat." His voice said, slightly more profound and more magnetic than before, causing Rebecca to look at him, her eyes showing a strange look.
"Mmm..." She replied as the pair left his car and entered the small cafe popular with the more affluent kids in the city; he flashed a black card and was greeted like a king, sent to VIP box 1 with no issues.
"Welcome, Master Winchester! We will serve your usual platter with tea and coffee. Do you require any alcohol or wine?"
A beautiful woman in a short skirt greeted them at the door of the enormous private room.
"No alcohol, maybe a very light white wine for the lady. Ensure it's something with citrus and light zest, not heavy and dry."
Amon then entered the room in silence while Rebecca was left shocked; he added snacks and foods that she loved but only since breaking contact with him, causing her to feel that he understood her well.
"Even the wine is my favourite type... we haven't met for over a year, and he knows my tastes so well. Is he a genius at flirting, or maybe Amon was always such a charming man... why does Alice reject him so much?"
The waitress didn't speak, only smiling at the whispered words. Amon was anything but charming usually when here.
However, he didn't ask to see her tits or touch her ass today, so she withheld speaking. She only worried her bonus tip might not be given as usual.
As Rebecca entered the room and the door closed, a ping-pong sounded.
[VIP room 1 Paid In Full!]
[$5000 Tip With Note]
You mentioned that you needed the money to finish your nursing degree but couldn't earn enough. I was a pest those days, taking advantage of you for mere peanuts.
Here is the money you need; I hope you chase your dream of becoming a nurse.
Thank you for all the beautiful times; your butt is one of the best.
Amon Winchester.

"Ah... this... it's directly in my name... not a tip to the store... so they won't take a cut... How? When did I tell him this... I only got the bill for my degree last week!?"
The stunned waitress began to carry her tray and the datapad with a spring in her step, almost floating as her phone buzzed, showing the money directly entering her account as she felt an incredible sensation of freedom and hope.
"Maybe she was right... He might not have been before... but maybe people can change!"
Amon didn't know that his action lifted a veil from this woman's eyes, no longer seeing Amon, who was controlled in the past by the supreme being.
In contrast, she saw the current him, just like Alice and Rebecca; the moment he broke his character as the low IQ face-slapping villain, they began to see him as a person.
Like there was a thin shell around all the people of this world that he might need to crack to meet their true selves.
Even his mother, Erlang and Dinzi Elma and Ming Xue
Slowly his actions were genuinely freeing the characters from their shackles, unaware that even the system voice, who suddenly vanished on the first day, couldn't anticipate the changes of the "new" Amon.
