Super Gene Ⅱ: Evolution

Lin Shen recalled his knowledge of cosmic races, but found no information about this particular race.

At least, in the current universe, the God-making Race was definitely not ranked in the top hundred, Lin Shen was certain of that.

"Xiaoqi, tell me about the God-making Race," Lin Shen rapidly typed a line of text into his communicator.

He could've asked Xiaoqi directly using voice, but to inquire about someone else's race in their presence seemed to smack of contempt.

"No need to look it up, you won't find information about my race on the cosmic network," Dongli said with a cryptic smile.

"Respected master, the God-making Race is not a race but an organization formed by some extremely dangerous individuals. They have long used extreme methods to plunder planetary resources, causing planet destruction, and species extinctions..." Xiaoqi's voice suddenly rang out.

The information left everyone silent for a moment.

Lin Shen and the Wei Family were silent because the other party was more terrifying than they had imagined; it was probably not just about killing them, but possibly even destroying their planet.

The silence from Dongli seemed a tad awkward.

"Does the God-making Race have a person named Dongli?" Since Xiaoqi had already revealed this, Lin Shen just went ahead and asked directly.

"Respected master, among the suspected members of the God-making Race known so far, there is only one named Dongli—Changhen Dongli. Originally from Dongli Star, he caused the Dongli Star disaster, destroying the planet and nearly exterminating the Dongli Clan. He is an extremely dangerous madman, of unknown level and strength, with no further detailed information available," Xiaoqi shared, the information chilling despite its brevity.

If Dongli was indeed Changhen Dongli, then he was a madman who could destroy his own home planet and people. With him on the Human Mother Planet, the entire planet could be in danger.

"Not bad, you can even find out my origins. Which cosmic race does your communicator come from?" Changhen Dongli effectively confirmed the information that Xiaoqi had shared.

"You've come here to destroy our planet and our race?" Lin Shen didn't answer Changhen Dongli, instead staring at him intently as he spoke.

"Destroy your race and planet?" Changhen Dongli laughed, "You don't qualify for that. In some ways, I gave you uncivilized primitive creatures the opportunity to step on the path of evolution, to enter the Interstellar Age. Without me, you'd still be ignorant savages, confined to one planet until your species went extinct. So theoretically, I am your savior."

"So you're saying your arrival on our planet was just an accident?" Lin Shen sought to extract more information.

Perhaps due to being trapped for too long, Changhen Dongli was very eager to communicate and took the initiative to answer Lin Shen's question: "Of course, otherwise, a planet with no real resources and uncivilized barbarians like you wouldn't even deserve a glance from me."

"Ignorant people think the God-making Race are madmen creating terror. What we do is the future of this universe," Changhen Dongli suddenly pointed at Wei Changqing and the others, "You all have benefited from the God-making Race. If it weren't for the God-making Eggs that were abandoned here, how could your short history of evolution produce so many strong beings?"

"God-making Eggs, you mean those Primeval Eggs?" Lin Shen's mind stirred.

"You call them Primeval Eggs? A fitting name indeed. They are indeed the most original batch of God-making Eggs, designed for creating gods, the pet eggs researched. You ignorant beings have no idea of their greatness," Changhen Dongli continued coldly: "These God-making Eggs were supposed to be delivered to a civilization millions of times more advanced than yours, to turn their advanced beings into test subjects. If it weren't for an accident that crashed my spaceship on your planet, you lowly creatures wouldn't be worthy of using the God-making Eggs."

As he spoke, Changhen Dongli looked up at the underground space with a sinister smile, "Fortunately, mistakes have their advantages. I never expected such a primitive civilization to harbor such a miraculous Base Mutation site, and also that you lowly creatures would prove the viability of the God-making Eggs. I will accept this great gift. From now on, this planet will be my testing ground, and you lowly creatures, as my test subjects, should feel honored. I will give you the chance to become gods, a chance that all races in the universe would crave."

"I too feel very honored, but what exactly do you mean by becoming gods? I only know that the pinnacle of evolution is Immortality, and to go a step further, one would have to become a Realm King, the supreme being in the universe. I've never heard of a god tier," Lin Shen wanted to know as much as possible.

"Immortality, Realm King, what are those? Who defined Immortality, and who crowned the Realm Kings? What we are resisting and aiming to control is the core order that governs this universe, the true origin of the universe... What we are creating are gods that can rule this universe... Not the ignorant beings constrained by cosmic order..." Changhen Dongli spoke.

"What a grand plan, I would like to be part of it," Lin Shen felt the best approach was to appease Changhen Dongli for now, and he praised accordingly.

"No... You can't... You must die... You all must die..." Changhen Dongli looked at Lin Shen mockingly, "Although you've used the God-making Eggs, it's clear that your evolution hasn't reached the required level, so you're already rejects, of no use anymore. Besides, for the sake of a peaceful experiment, I can't let people discover I'm here, nor can they know of such a miraculous Base Mutation site here, so you must all die, especially you."
