Summoners War: Only I Summoned Divine Beasts

Chapter 441 Chaotic Visit

"This is the Rataboi Village?" Alavenya asked, looking at the small village located on the mountain.

"Rararaoi!" Sera corrected her.

"I don't care. It's too hard to pronounce." Alavenya shrugged. "But…"

Everyone had the same thought.

When they looked at the village, it was much more bustling than they originally thought. No, it looked like the people going around the village were not tourists.

"Hmm?" Nathan squinted his eyes, checking the situation.

The building looked fine. While they were not as extravagant as the buildings in the city, their style was rather similar. It was as if they combined both the city's architecture and that of a normal village.

He noticed that there were a lot of cracks in the building.

"Let's enter." Nathan's expression turned serious as he summoned Jinwu on his shoulder. Since he was small, he wouldn't stand out. "Try to see what's going on. We'll go to the inn first and listen to what the people have to say before heading to the village chief's house."

All of them nodded. When they entered the village, the people looked busy helping the wounded.

There were two buildings that had collapsed in this area.

People were screaming due to panic. However, most of them seemed to be scared of whatever was going on.

In the end, they didn't say anything until they reached the inn.

The receptionist was occupied with all the things that fell down to the ground.

"Ah! Customers? I apologize." The receptionist looked around. "I don't think we can accept customers for the time being."

"Why is that? Are you turning down a customer?" Nathan asked casually.

"I'm sorry. That's what I've been instructed to do. Due to the recent situation, we need to protect the safety of our customers, and the only solution is to not come here at all." The receptionist shook his head.

"Is that so? What situation are you currently facing? You're not lying, right?"

"No." The receptionist shook his head furiously.

Nathan just stared at him as if he wanted the information.

The receptionist hesitated for a moment before saying, "Currently, the Mountain God is angry. He has been shaking the mountain from time to time. It's been more often recently."

"Recently, huh?" Nathan crossed his arms.

"Yes. It's unfortunate. I'm sorry, but I have to reject you as a customer. It's safer to remain at the foot of the mountain."

Nathan's expression turned serious. After some thought, he opened his mantle and showed his uniform, especially his badge.

He took out the mission's paper as well. "Please take a look at this. We are from the Frexia Academy, taking on the mission for the investigation of the Mountain God's anger."

"Ah?!" The receptionist looked shocked. He checked Nathan's face again, along with the rest of the people. He then made sure the mission was truly assigned to them. "This…"

"What's wrong? You can't believe it?"

The receptionist shook his head. "It's not that… The situation is dire right now. The Mountain God has just been angry at us an hour ago."

"An hour?" Nathan squinted his eyes. They were at the Frexia Academy one hour ago, so it was obvious that he couldn't feel the earthquake.

After some thought, Nathan took out some coins. "For now, we want two rooms. Is the manager of this inn here? If possible, I would like to ask a couple of questions. Also, where is the village chief's house?"

"Yes. I understand." The receptionist didn't dare to turn down again. After all, Nathan and the others wanted to solve the problem. He continued, "The manager is out right now. He is most likely helping people in a small village not far from here.Nôv(el)B\\jnn

"That village has been hit by a massive landslide a few days ago. Because of this anger, he is worried that the village ends up getting destroyed completely.

"As for the village chief, he must be around the village, helping the wounded. I think they're in a small clinic two blocks away from here. It should be the most crowded building since there are a lot of injured people over there."

Nathan turned to the girls. "We'll split up. Alavenya, Sera. You guys put down our luggage. I and Selena will go find the village chief… maybe even go to the village near this place. I want you two to stay here and make sure nothing goes wrong in case another 'anger' happens."

Alavenya looked a bit disappointed, but she still nodded her head.

"Leave it to us." Sera immediately grabbed their bags.

Nathan turned back to the receptionist. "For now, can you show them the rooms?"

"Yes, sir." He nodded with a serious expression.

Because it was Nathan's request, he immediately led them to another building while Nathan and Selena exited the inn.

"That way." Selena pointed to the left, where people were going back and forth.

They exchanged nods to see what was going on, but as the receptionist said, more than half of the population seemed to be going to the clinics.

"Hurry up! All the heavily injured are to enter the building. Anyone who can still move… Please help them!" An old man shouted while waving his hand. Even though he was using a cane to support his body, he was still doing his best to direct the masses.

If they came closer, they would notice the clinic was filled with people lying on the ground.

There was a doctor in the village, but it wasn't a full-fledged healer.

The doctor applied some ointments on the wound and bandaged them right away.

It looked like only one person was working as a doctor in this huge village.

Nathan couldn't help but approach them while asking, "We are from the Frexia Academy. Where is the village chief?"

They hurriedly slipped past the crowd while repeating themselves.

"!!!" The old man that was directing the people was startled. "Frexia Academy?"

"We are from the Frexia Academy. Where is the village chief?" Nathan continued shouting while looking around.

After he confirmed he wasn't hearing things, he immediately raised his head and shouted back. "I'm the village chief!"
