Chapter 1184: Star Origin Lord Manor

Shang Xia didn’t expect himself to have spent close to half a year.

After he briefly explained his experience to Feng Ziying, he couldn’t wait to learn what happened in Star Origin City and the changes that happened. He especially wished to know what happened after Zhuge Xiang’s death and the implications it had for the Star Origin Guards.

However, Feng Ziying’s reply somewhat disappointed Shang Xia. Even so, he rejoiced a little at the revelation.

He was disappointed that chaos didn’t break out within the Star Origin Guards after learning about Zhuge Xiang’s death.

After Tong Yutang returned to the Star Origin Dao Field, there was a smooth transition of power as he obtained the ruling rights over from He Yingrui and everything happened without a hitch.

Even Liu Jiuzhen, Zhuge Xiang’s most trusted subordinate, didn’t seem to have put up any rejection when Tong Yutang consolidated his power. He even successfully became a Camp Commander from his original position as captain.

The only difference was that he wasn’t the commander of the First Camp. Instead, he was deployed to the Third Camp, and Hu Linghua who was the original Third Camp Commander was transferred to the Fifth Camp. The rest of the roles were given out accordingly.

The Seventh Camp, which was ranked dead last the whole time Zhuge Xiang was in power, had their status upgraded to the First Camp and Tong Yutang became their Camp Commander. Xing Xingtian, the original Seventh Camp Commander, became the Captain of the Second Squad in the First Camp, and at the same time controlled the Star Observatory with his status as a Grand Stargazer.

After a round of rearrangement, the Star Origin Guards didn’t seem to change too much internally. However, the first 4 camps all had True Immortals as their Camp Commanders, and of the 343 remaining Star Guards, there were 6 True Immortals in total. They were the high-level fourth tier True Immortal Tong Yutang, third tier True Immortal He Yingrui, second tier True Immortal Liu Jiuzhen, and first tier True Immortals Tian Moran, Feng Ziyuan, and Xing Xingtian.

What Shang Xia was rejoicing at was the fact that he learned a lot of secrets regarding the Star Origin Guards and the Star Origin Dao Field. He even obtained a bunch of information on the Star Origin Lord. He also knew how important it was for the rest of the worlds connected to the Star Origin Dao Field that large-scale chaos hadn’t broken out in Star Origin City.

Tong Yutang quickly obtained power and reorganized the Star Origin Guards, which allowed the Star Origin Dao Field to quickly reappear in space, lifting the seal on the spatial tunnels and leading to the various worlds.

“Of course… There aren’t any obvious changes, but as you can see, from how you entered the city, we can’t enter and leave the Star Origin Dao Field whenever we want now. We can only arrive at the platform and enter the city under the watchful eyes of the Star Origin Guards.” Feng Ziying sighed before he continued, “Also, the quality of Star Origin Guards in the future will only get higher. Not counting those who are already in service, any newcomers will have to be in the Martial Dipper Realm or above to be accepted into the Star Origin Guards.”

Shang Xia couldn’t help but gasp. “Wouldn’t that mean that any squad of the Star Origin Guards will be able to produce the might of a True Immortal once they deploy their battle formation?”

Feng Ziying nodded in response. “You can see it that way, but in actual combat, it’s not going to be likely for an ordinary squad to be able to hold back a True Immortal…”

Shang Xia naturally understood the reason.

No matter how familiar they were with the battle formation, they wouldn’t be able to react as quickly or deal with situations with as much flexibility as a True Immortal. Unless they managed to catch a True Immortal off guard, they wouldn’t be able to do much against one.

“How are things so peaceful after Tong Yutang took over the position as Guards Commander? Did Zhuge Xiang really fail as a leader? Is there really no one loyal to him in his hundred or so years as the Star Origin Guards Commander? Wasn’t Liu Jiuzhen imprisoned on the third floor of the main prison beneath the Star Observatory because of his relationship with Zhuge Xiang?” Shang Xia frowned. He really wished to listen to a more detailed explanation from Feng Ziying.

Shaking his head slowly, Feng Ziying sighed, “I don't know the specifics. However, from what I know, the first thing Tong Yutang did when he returned was to enter the Star Origin Lord Manor. After he emerged, the True Immortals of the Star Origin Guards quickly acknowledged him as their leader.”

“Star Origin Lord Manor?!” Shang Xia mumbled softly before asking, “Where is the manor located? What do you know about it and have you been to it?”

“The Star Origin Lord Manor is located in the very center of Star Origin City. You have been in the city countless times… Have you noticed it before?” Feng Ziying replied.

A strange expression appeared on Shang Xia’s face. He discovered that he didn’t really remember anything related to the Star Origin Lord Manor, and any recollections of it seemed to be shrouded in a layer of fog.

Feng Ziying continued, “According to the legends, other than the Star Origin Lord, only the Camp Commanders of the Star Origin Guards have the authority to enter. However, only the Guards Commander has the authority to enter the core region located within the manor.”

“After Tong Yutang returned, he immediately left for the manor and entered the core region, which was probably why there wasn’t any trouble when he took over the position of the Guards Commander…”

Shang Xia hesitated slightly and muttered in confusion, “But what about the Star Origin Lord Robe? I’m holding the Star Origin Lord Robe and without it…”

Feng Ziying interrupted Shang Xia before he could finish. “Tong Yutang was definitely clad in Star Robes when he came back. I personally verified the fact.”

To be able to gain everyone’s recognition as the Star Origin Guards Commander, Tong Yutang naturally needed to own his own Star Robes. He would also need to appear in public. After all, it didn’t make sense for the Star Origin Guards under him to be unable to recognize their commander.

How would he be able to deploy the battle formation then?” Feng Ziying shook his head and chuckled.

Shang Xia was tongue-tied for a moment and he didn’t know how to respond. However, he knew that the Star Origin Lord Robe he obtained was no fake.

Feng Ziying also didn’t think that Shang Xia would lie about anything like that and he quickly thought of another possibility. “Perhaps it’s because Tong Yutang entered the Star Origin Lord Manor. It’s said that there are only 343 Star Robes, but who’s to say that there aren’t more in the Star Origin Lord Manor?”

“Also… There has been a rumor that before Zhuge Xiang became the Star Origin Guards Commander, he was a Camp Commander just like Tong Yutang. They had also been fighting over the position of Guards Commander, and everyone saw Tong Yutang as being more likely to take on the role. However, Zhuge Xiang broke through and entered the fourth tier of the Martial Void Realm before Tong Yutang, and managed to obtain the position. The Star Origin Dao Field has been in existence for more than a thousand years now, and there should be several Star Origin Guards Commanders. Where do you think all of them went?”
