Chapter 76: Changed Man
Chapter 76: Changed Man
After an hour of trying to get out, Sol finally got out of his inner world, he never thought it would be so difficult to get out that he didn't ask the Goddess about it.
When he opened his eyes, he found out that Nerva and Minerva were looking at him from the table they were sitting by, Minerva looked at him with a smile.
"Congratulation Mr. Vestitor, you are officially a Demigod now!" She congratulated him with a slight nod.
"How long was I sitting here?" he asked the Goddess as they did not seem to wait that long to him.
"Almost an hour, you take a bit longer than my expectation," She informed him.
Sol was not shocked as he had expected that time would work differently in his inner world and in the outside world.
Mineva got up from her seat and stride toward him with a discerning, she looked at him from top to bottom, "Hmmm, you don't get as strong as I expected, just a bit stronger than normal Demigod of your level" She commented.
The Goddess only able to sense his strongest Divinity as the other two were hidden by the stronger one's aura, If her real body was here she would have noticed it but it was just her projection so she wasn't able to find anything strange.
Sol did not correct her as he thought it was best for him to hide the fact that he has three core divinity, it could be his trump card, keeping the secret might save his life one day.
He talked some pleasantry with the Goddess before he said his farewell, he carried the sleeping Nerodia on his back while Nerva walked by his side.
Nerodia had got back to sleep as she was weak and needed to recover her strength, she had wanted to suck Sol's blood but the Goddess stop her because it would disturb his advancement.
Sol did not have the luxury to chat with the Goddess as his other companions outside the temple might be in danger, the news of their visit would have reached the Flaming bird Demigod's ear.
When he got out of the Temple, He found Miya was protecting Tanya by the Door of the Temple while Jacob was protecting Jean not far from them.
Under the Temple stairs was a giant flaming dog fighting against a dozen flaming birdman, it was Blacky, he was holding a dozen creature with a bloodline by himself by relying on his regeneration.
Blacky's body was bigger than when they were fighting against the Yetis, it's body reach six meters tall, it was big enough to block a dozen Flaming Bird as their attack only fuel his power.
On the other hand, its attack was ineffective as well, the flaming birds would fly away before blacky had a chance to bring them down.
The flaming bird's fire was not conjured but a bloodline ability to turn their feather into fires, the fire also has a healing effect as a few glancing hit the hellhound had inflicted would disappear after some times.
As Sol went out, he had restrained his aura, when he become a Demigod, he could sense his presence which pressure people around him, Minerva had warned him that he should hide his aura in a public place as to not scare people.
Seeing the battle was on a stalemate, Sol decides to cut in as they were a delegation party, not a raiding party, its better to talk things over rather than resort to violence.
He raised his arm and generate an ice crystal, it floats on top of his palm, it was like a black hole that absorbs heat all around him.
Sol needed only a second to direct the ice crystal effect on the birdmen who were fighting with Blacky.
The fire on their fur grew dimmer and got extinguished within seconds, their face grew pale but they still hold their place in the air.
"We are not here to fight! Call your leader, I want to talk to her!" Sol commanded.
Sol had easily restrained all the birdmen, his ability was the bane of any flame or heat generating ability as if its other type of ability then he might need more effort to subdue them.
He could use his aura to scare them but it would not be that effective as heirs were generally strong-minded.
Normally a dozen of heir could beat a Lesser Demigod but there was exception like Sol who counters their ability or the Flaming bird Demigod who had a unique ability that could beat dozens of heir in the right condition.
The reason that city was controlled by the Demigod was that she had a dozen heirs, it was by itself then there was no way it could be the overlord of such a big city.
The birdmen were strong but they were unlucky to meet blacky and Sol who counter their ability perfectly.
The birdman looked at Sol in horror as they could sense his power, they had never sense someone as strong as him before other than their mother.
They were scared that they thought that his suggestion was for the best but a Sudden explosion of heat behind them made them changed their mind.
"How overbearing!" a birdman said sarcastically, "You are about to meet your match!"
Behind the birdman, Sol could see a giant flame bird fly toward him from the center of the city, it was so big, its wingspan could reach fifteen meters, even from such a long distance he could sense the heat it was radiating.
The old Sol would get scared out of his wits if he was asked to fight such a thing but the current him was different, he was confident that he could stop the giant bird despite the difference in size.
The flaming bird directly flew toward Sol as she wanted to crash to him and turned him into ashes.
Sol raised his palm and point it toward the creature, he generates another ice crystal but he did not stop at that, he pours even more energy into the crystal and it started to grow into a giant ice wall.
The ice wall absorbs heat all around him at a very fast rate but Sol did not direct the absorption toward the giant flame bird as he needs to lower the temperature around him so everyone else did not get turned into cooked meat.
When the flaming bird got into the ice wall absorption range, it grew smaller as the flame in its body weaken, the closer it gets, the smaller it becomes.
The flaming bird reduced into a man-sized bird when it crashed into the ice wall, it slammed to the wall and bounced back by the impact, the wall fractured but still holding on, within a few seconds the fracture was already gone.
The Demigod tried to channel her power and grew bigger but the most she could do was to keep her body from shrinking further.
In that form, the former giant flaming bird was made purely from flames so it would grow smaller or bigger according to its temperature.
She could beat so many heirs by herself was because of her body attribute, no one could hurt her in her flame body as an heir could not conjure elemental power, they could only try to hurt the Demigod with their weapon which was not very effective.
"Stop! We are here with peace, let's talk first," Sol told the giant bird but it did not listen to him.
"Do you think because you could make me smaller, you can beat me?" a mature woman voice came from the bird.
Sol grew gloomy as the bird was so aggressive that it didn't even try to talk with him, "Luckily I become a demigod as well, or else it would turn us into ashes" he lamented.
He shook his head as he disintegrates the ice wall and conjures an ice blue armor around his body, he had based the design on the incarnation of Apollo's golden armor, it looks majestic with the ice blue color.
He had created the wall for a defensive purpose only, seeing that he need to subdue the Demigod first then talk later, Sol changes his approach to a more offensive one.
Sol kept his knife as it would not be able to hurt the flame bird, in its place, Sol conjured a long knife made from ice, he chose the knife because of his familiarity with knives.
The flaming bird attacked first as it flapped its wing toward him, sending projectiles of fire toward Sol, he could block them with his knife or dodge them but he chose to stay still to check how strong was his self created armor.
On the surface he looked like the arrogant incarnation of Apollo who did not care about any attack he received, Sol had thought it was cool so he tried to act like that.
"HAHAHA! I can be cool too!" Sol laughed in his heart.
