Chapter 73: Be Better Than a God
Chapter 73: Be Better Than a God
The Sun God incarnation had pulled out three arrows from his quiver and nocked them on his bow, Sol was sweating all over as he knew there is no way for the arrow to miss.
The God himself was a remarkable marksman, even with normal arrow and bow, he would hit his target with precision even if he shot three arrows at once.
The one made him hopeless was the arrows themselves, it could seek him no matter what, dodging was useless against them as they would follow him.
Sol sweated as he needed to think of a solution to stop all three arrows before the God's incarnation let the arrow loose after him, luckily the man was not in a hurry to do that, he was still pulling the bow slowly as he did not think much of Sol.
"Damn it!" Sol could not think anything efficient enough to survive the arrow, "Fuck it! at least I need to survive this first!" he cursed as he decided to use a costly method to survive.
When the arrow flight toward him, Sol conjure a giant ball of water between himself and the arrow, it cost him a lot of stamina but the result was as expected.
All three arrow stop inside the ball of water as the water dampen the arrow momentum to as stop, even though they were in space, it was only Sol's inner world and not a real space, physic still work like they were on earth and water on earth could even stop a bullet within 1-meter flight distance.
The arrow was special but Sol had made sure to conjure a large enough ball of water to stop the arrow even though they could fly way faster than a bullet.
Sol could feel a huge chunk of his stamina was drained from his earlier stunt but he did not let it stop him, he directly run at the God's incarnation.
It was his chance to close the distance, unless the man suddenly decides to fight faster, Sol would have enough time to arrive at his side before he could fire another arrow.
When Sol arrived within a meter distance from the man, the incarnation of Apollo just shook his head as he let go of his bow and conjured a one-handed sword and swung it at Sol.
Sol had a hard time defending himself from the man's remarkable swordsmanship, he might be accustomed to using a bow but Apollo was not a slouch when I come to another weapon.
"Fuck! This man is too perfect, there is no flaw in his movement, I could not find any chance to fight back!" Sol complained as he could not even touch the God's hair.
The incarnation of Apollo did not move very fast, he moved just as slow as his movement with the bow but his perfect technique made up for movement speed with efficiency.
Sol blocked and parried every blow with his knife, actually, there was a few hit where he could dodge but he decides to block it instead as he would not get tired from moving his body.
He wanted to sharpen his knife against the man, as long as he could cut the blade with as ingle cut from his knife, Sol would be able to land a hit on the off guard man.
The God's incarnation was too arrogant to consider him as a thread, Sol needed to use that as a chance to finish the man before he got serious.
After dozens of exchanges, Sol cut through the sword in a single slash and his knife moved toward the incarnation of Apollo's neck.
"Cut!!!" Sol screamed as his knife moved forward toward the incarnation's neck but to his surprise, the man's arm covered in golden glove appeared in front of his knife and diver his knife with a single flick.
The incarnation of Apollo was arrogant but he was not stupid, Sol's knife glows in blue light that anyone would know that it was dangerous.
His real armament did not glow in blue light but in the imaginary realm in Sol's inner world, it glows brightly that alert anyone who saw it.
It made the incarnation of Apollo to turn serious when Sol cut the sword he had conjured, he no longer move slowly but moved at a faster pace.
He conjured another sword to replace the broken sword and start to attack Sol with it, Sol could feel the pressure on him grew stronger, if this goes on then he bound to make a mistake and pay for it dearly.
But Sol did not stay the same, he learned the God's movement and sword style, Sol tried to improve himself so he could hold his own against the God's incarnation's assault.
When he starts to felt less pressure from the man, the incarnation decides to put even more pressure on him by conjuring another sword oh his hand.
The god incarnation had two swords, on one each arm, Sol was speechless as he grows frantic to defend against both sword.
Honestly, Sol wanted to gain some distance from the man but he did not as it would be stupid to gain distance from a remarkable marksman, it would just let the man use his bow once again.
In the end, Sol pulled out the knife he conjured before, he used it to block and parry as well, he tried to counter dual-wielding with dual-wielding but he was not so proficient at it.
He learned it the hard way when he tried to block a hit with the normal knife he conjured, it was broken into pieces by the sword, the sword left a deep gash on Sol's chest.
"Fuck these swords must be something special too!" Sol cursed, he did not notice it as his armament was strong enough to block the sword but a normal knife was not as strong.
"I need to do something!" Sol screamed in his mind, he needs to do something that he was better than the incarnation of God Apollo.
From his understanding of the God, in physical attribute, regeneration, melee combat ability and ranged combat ability, the incarnation was way better than himself, the only weak side of the man was he looked down on Sol.
The man did become wary of him but it was for his knife mythical ability not because of Sol or his mortal's mean.
"I need to use modern technology to outsmart this guy! He might be able to conjure anything but he looks down on human and our technology, he would pay dearly for it" Sol concluded.
Sol continues to defend himself as he was waiting for the right chance to attack, he had conjured a thick piece of metal to be used as a replacement for his broken knife.
Actually, he had another knife but it would be destroyed too if it touches the sword, so Sol created something stronger than a small knife to defend himself.
With his learning ability, Sol had picked up quite a lot of fighting techniques from the god's incarnation, but he was not stupid enough to use it at the man.
A newbie trying to use a master's technique at the master was a stupid decision the Sol was not keen to do.
Sol had destroyed the man's sword a few times with his knife but every time he did, the knife could only touch the man's golden armor which did not receive a single scratch.
"If I know I would with against the incarnation of Apollo then I would have challenged the Yeti Demigod first," Sol lamented at his decision.
Sol had known that the biggest star was the Demigod's divinity he had gain from Yeti he killed with the help of the bronze arrow.
Fighting a Demigod incarnation was was better than fighting a Major God incarnation, even though Apollo's incarnation was weakened a lot but its strength in skill and technique was better than the demigod by leap and bound.
"Fuck it!" Sol had enough with the incarnation and decide to use his last card.
Sol pulled away from the man without fear of the man's arrow, he conjured a giant metal ball that rolls at the man.
The God's incarnation only used one finger to stop the ball, but Sol did not care, he focused his eyes at The biggest star and he could feel the familiar pull.
When he moved to the star, he could feel a big shockwave behind him as the giant metal ball explode.
The giant metal ball was the modern technology strongest weapon that Sol had conjured, it cost him quite a lot of stamina.
It was a hydrogen bomb or what we call a thermonuclear bomb, Chemicals still work the same eve in the imaginary realm in Sol's inner world so he conjured the most deadly weapon that mankind ever made.
A hydrogen bomb had the power equal to a thousand nuclear bombs, even if the God's incarnation was strong, Sol was sure he would die from the explosion.
"HA! Taste that! Mankind is nothing to look down upon!" Sol taunted as he moved lightning fast to the next star to dodge the explosion.
