Chapter 99: Introduction
Chapter 99: Introduction
In the breakfast hall, all the professors and students in House were eating.
Coven held the cauldron in his hand and rushed straight to Snape who was eating at the teachers' table.
Coven's action attracted the attention of the professors, and they slowed down their eating movements and turned to look at him.
"Good morning, professors!" Coven found the eyes of the professors, so he smiled and directly rushed to Snape after greeting him.
Across the table, Coven's eyes were fiery, and looked at Snape with a stunned expression.
Then, in Snape's stiff posture, Coven handed the cauldron into his hands.
"Professor! Take a look at this!" Coven placed the cauldron on the dining table, his voice filled with excitement. "I finally succeeded!"
"You... get out of my way!" Snape scolded in a low voice with a straight face, "In this public place, you are a Gryffindor. In front of all my Slytherin students, you are sticky with me. What do you think of me? I think I didn't deduct enough points for you!"
As such, Snape couldn't help but be full of lawsuits and continued to reprimand in a low voice, "If there is anything, go to the office after class in the afternoon!"
"Hehehehe..." Dumbledore, who was next to him, chuckled and raised his head slightly. He looked at the cauldron through the lens on his nose and said briskly, "What does it matter? Severus, listen to what our little Coven has to say?"
Professor Flitwick and Professor McGonagall also began to laugh and echoed.
"Hehe..." Coven revealed a 'what can you do to me' smirk to Snape, and under Snape's glare, he quickly took out two more things from his pocket.
The things he took out were a cauldron and a portion of Herbology.
Coven quickly threw Herbology into the cauldron, then used his wand to release a Water-Making Spell curse into the cauldron.
Next, Coven adjusted the rotating button on the outer wall of the cauldron.
As he adjusted, Coven explained to the professors who were watching him, "This is an automatic cauldron that I made with Alchemy*."
[*TL Note: Alchemy was a branch of magic and an ancient science concerned with the study of the composition, structure, and magical properties of the four basic elements, as well as the transmutation of substances; it was thus intimately connected with Potion-making, chemistry, and transformation magic.]
As he spoke, Coven picked up the stirring stick next to him and put it into the cauldron.
"And this automatic stirring stick, it is also an alchemy item." Coven had finished adjusting, and then he let go of his hands and continued to explain in an excited tone, "Professors, please look! Now I want to configure the 'White Fresh Liquid'. I only need to set up the alchemy cauldron and the alchemy stirring stick in advance, and then they can automatically modulate Potion!"
Other Professors did not know much about what Coven explained, but Dumbledore and the four house deans knew that Coven had been studying this all along.
Therefore, after listening, Professor McGonagall immediately interrupted and said with a little surprise, "You succeeded? Coven, are you sure that Potion can be automatically made?"
"Not completely successful." Coven shook his head. "There is still the most crucial part."
"What part?" Professor Fallout asked excitedly.
Without waiting for Coven to answer, Snape stared at the automatically running cauldron and said, "It's a drug test."
"Yes, it's a drug test!" Coven repeated, and then he told the professors about his idea of the 'perfect Potion assembly line' again.
Because it had been such a long time, Coven had supplemented the idea of 'perfect Potion assembly line' several times, and the theory had become more perfect.
After listening to Coven's explanation, all the professors were in high spirits. Even Headmaster and the four branch deans, who had known about it for a long time, now listened to Coven's more perfect theory and had to be tempted.
"So..." Dumbledore asked in a serious tone, "Then about the last part of the 'drug detection',
Do you have any ideas?
"Of course!" Coven nodded. "Professor Snape's intuition towards Herbology's medicinal properties is very accurate! If Professor Snape were to cooperate with me, I would definitely be able to successfully produce the related alchemy products!"
Coven paused and turned to look at Professor Sprout. He said with slight excitement, "Of course, I will also teach you! Your Herbology's knowledge will definitely be of great help!"
"Since Little Coven has asked for help..." Professor Sprout smiled kindly. "Of course I have no problem here."
"Thank you!" Coven thanked him happily, then turned back and stared at Snape with his eyes full of spirit.
Snape was stubborn and refused to open his mouth to give a response.
Dumbledore saw this and said with a smile, "I approve of little Coven's idea."
Saying this, Dumbledore winked at the other professors playfully.
When the professors saw this, they all laughed and said that they agreed with Coven's idea and persuaded Snape.
"Alright!" Snape finally couldn't bear it any longer and stared at Coven with a somewhat depressing look. "I agree!"
"Thank you, professor!" Coven waved his fist happily.
"Speaking of which..." Dumbledore saw that the 'accomplice' effect had been achieved, so he said to Coven, "According to your explanation, does the item that Potion tested need more profound knowledge from Alchemy?"
"It's like this, Mr. Headmaster." Coven admitted and said confidently, "As long as I have enough time, I am confident that I can make it!"
"Very good faith." Dumbledore nodded with satisfaction and continued, "But since a student has asked Hogwarts for help, then Hogwarts will certainly help him, so..."
"I have an old friend who is very accomplished in Alchemy." Dumbledore lowered his voice and said softly.
"Perhaps, I can introduce you to him You can try to start from a pen friend first. If you have any problems about Alchemy, you can ask him more."
When the professors heard this, they couldn't help but feel very surprised. They were a little confused about the friends that Dumbledore talked about.
"Thank you very much again, Mr. Headmaster!" Coven did not expect such a surprise, so he immediately thanked him happily.
At this time, the alchemy cauldron suddenly emitted a "ding" sound.
Coven immediately stretched out his hands and began to cool down the medicinal liquid. At the same time, he explained, "This is a reminder device I designed. It can remind me that Potion has finished refining."
As he spoke, Coven poured the cooled medicine into a small crystal bottle and handed it directly to Professor Snape.
Snape stared at Coven for a moment before he raised his hand to take Potion and began to examine him...
