Rise Online: Return of the Legendary Player

Chapter 858: Mountain Crater

Thrown by Kaizen's mighty fist, the creature flew at high speed towards the clouds, spinning wildly through the air, its shadowy form silhouetted against the silver glow of the moon. Then he found himself in free fall towards the ground, his mind a whirlwind of arrogance and doubt. He had never expected a mortal's strike to be so powerful.

The imminent collision with a mountain made him realise how fragile his position was, even though he was an ancient and powerful being.

A mountain with an icy peak rose majestically, its grandeur cutting through the starry sky, and the being's impact with it was devastating, shaking the earth around it. Rocks broke off, forming an avalanche that echoed across the night landscape, and a monstrous crater opened up in the ground, as if the earth itself had been torn apart, a crater that seemed to split the mountain in two.

The impact was so great that the clouds around it dissipated in swirls, as if the atmosphere itself were bowing to the force of the blow, and the snow finally stopped falling over the Emperor's Palace and the surrounding mountain range.

The night sky, visible for the first time in a long while, was dotted with stars, and the full moon shone brightly, illuminating the scene like a celestial searchlight.

Kaizen could feel the pulsing energy around him, the essence of the energy that permeated the world and connected him to everything that existed. This blow had been stronger than his usual blows, perhaps because of anger?

The being, stunned by the collision, found itself weakened by the force of the impact. Then, in the midst of the pain and chaos, it realised that underestimating the Psyker and bluffing so boldly had not been a good idea. Slowly, It recovered from the impact and sat down on the ground in the middle of the crater.

"Interesting," It muttered to itself, its voice echoing in the wind. "Perhaps I underestimated the Psyker."

Kaizen watched the scene from above, in the middle of the momentary gap in the clouds that had been created, and his eyes were fixed on the entity.

The creature was merely an obstacle in his path, and he was determined to overcome it.

Without wasting any time, Kaizen plunged toward the mountain, slicing through the air with supernatural speed. His form seemed to merge with the wind itself, leaving a trail of glowing energy in its wake.

Meanwhile, the creature stood and looked up to see Kaizen coming toward it like a meteor. There wasn't much it could do against such power.

Victor grabbed the creature by the neck and dragged it across the crater floor, tearing off more and more pieces.

"Did you think you could fool me, underestimate my power!" Kaizen shouted.

The creature struggled to its feet and faced Kaizen with a broad smile. "You are truly worthy of respect, Psyker! That strength... That's what I wanted to see!"

Surprised, Kaizen stopped dragging him and lifted him by the neck. "You shouldn't have underestimated Psyker, now answer me. Where is Týr?"

The creature rose slowly, its dark form contrasting with the intense golden glow emanating from Kaizen. It smiled mischievously, realizing that its arrogant words had been a mistake. "I won't tell! You... you cannot defeat me. I'm immortal.

Even if you kill me, I'll come back like a spark, ready to try again!" It roared, trying to regain its bravado.

Kaizen remained calm, his psychic energy surrounding him like armor. "Immortality does not mean invulnerability. You've done too much damage to go unpunished. Now answer me before I'm forced to use something I don't want to."

The being felt Kaizen's hand tighten around its neck. "Never!"

Kaizen stared at the entity with a mixture of determination and caution. He was fully aware of its power and the consequences of facing it recklessly. Lifting its neck with a firm hand, he held its penetrating gaze as if he could read the deepest secrets of its mind.

"You may think you are immortal, but Titse is a fate worse than death," Kaizen said in a calm but significant voice. His psychic energy pulsed around him, ready to be channeled as needed.

The being showed no signs of fear, even in the face of the imminent threat. Its mischievous smile reflected its confidence in its own invulnerability. "What? You think you can trap me? No seal can contain me for long!"

Kaizen was not swayed by the creature's arrogance. He knew that brute force wasn't the only way to deal with situations like this. Read now on m_vl_em_p_yr

"You are mistaken if you think it is wise to underestimate the power of a Psyker. Titse are more subtle, more powerful techniques than the simple seals you know."

The wind whispered around them, as if nature also awaited the outcome of this battle of wills.

"Kaizen, what exactly do you want?" The entity's voice carried a tone of curiosity mixed with a slight trace of apprehension. It was beginning to realize that the Psyker wasn't joking.

"You see, immortality may seem like a gift, but it's also a torment," Kaizen replied calmly, and his hand that held the entity began to glow. "I will bind your soul into a very strong object, something that will survive the passing of time and perhaps eternity. This way you will be immobilized and unable to even speak, so you will never take another step towards your plan."

The creature tried to resist, its dark form writhing under Kaizen's psychic grip. "You can't do this! You have no right to condemn me to an eternity of suffering!"

Kaizen was unmoved. He concentrated his energy and channeled it through an artifact he carried, a dagger carved with runes that glowed with a celestial radiance. This was just a tool for him to use the <Sidereal Fusion> ability to fuse this entity and trap it in a state of eternal existence.

The being felt the power building up around it, a feeling of unbearable pressure that made it tremble. "Do not do this! I beg you, Psyker! There is a way to solve this! I'll tell you! I promise I'll tell where Týr are!"
