Chapter 304: Final Battle I
Chapter 304: Final Battle I
Boom!
When Flavius was about to take the box, the entire ship rocked.
Gabriella quickly grabbed the pillar beside her to steady herself and then she looked at Flemming and Shiyon but they too seemed shocked.
The next moment, the cabin door slowly opened and when everyone saw the person on the other side of the door, they began to tremble.
"King Don!"
Shiyon and Flemming were no longer able to sit as they immediately stood like their chairs were set on fire. Behind him, Gabriella saw an elf and a few black-armored men.
"If you want to give me a gift, you should come to Everlight" While Don was talking and walking forward, Arwen waved his hand as an empty chair on the cabin skated towards them. Don calmly sat on the chair and signaled everyone to take their seats in a commanding manner.
Gabriella and the guards finally heaved a sigh of relief. They knew that if Don and his men were on board, the Thunder Hearts would attack as they wish. Moreover, they didn't have to deliver the mysterious box to Don and risk their lives.
In front of him, Shiyon lost her smile and Flemming lost his domineering look. He could tell Shiyon and Flemming were just low-level Greatmasters and any one of his men could kill them in a flash.
"What's happening here?" While Flavius, Gabriella, Shiyon, and Flemming were looking at Don, the guards couldn't help but stare at Arwen. For many of them, it was the first time seeing an Elf.
"King Don, we were just having a friendly conversation" Shiyon tried hard to let out a smile and look calm.
"Oh? I thought you were holding this ship hostage and blackmailing them to deliver that box to me" Shiyon couldn't find an answer before he spoke again
"Why don't you give that to me now?" he reached his hand at the box as it flew directly into his hand. The box felt heavy and he could feel the ominous aura coming from the box. The ominous aura and the black energy inside his body had some connections. Before Reghys disappear, she checked Don's body and thought that the Life shard somehow integrated Aathreya's black energy with his Battle energy which made him extremely powerful. However, Reghys couldn't find out the extent of his newly found powers or if there are any side effects.
Even Don had no full understanding of his new powers. Yet, when he touched the box, somehow he was able to tell this box contains something that belongs to Aathreya. This quickly put the Thunder Hearts on his priority list. If they had something to do with Aathreya, he must deal with them cautiously and quickly before they could harm him.
As the first step of dealing, he conjured the hell flames and tried to burn the box.
"What are you doing?" the cabin's internal temperature quickly raised in a few seconds after he conjured the dark purple flames. Flemming shouted but Don kept burning the box
"Isn't this a gift to me? I can do whatever I want with it " he might have got lucky with combining his Battle energy with the Black energy and the box might turn up to be something useful. However, he didn't want to take any chances as he decided to burn the box.
After a few moments, the box began to lose its shape and slowly melt.
When the box completely melted, he stared at Shiyon and Flemming and this time, his stare was cold and murderous.
"Where did you get this box?" Shiyon and Flemming felt like they are being crushed by an invisible mountain. Yet, Flemming mustered his courage and spoke coldly
"Since you have received our gift and destroyed it, we have nothing further to discuss"
Whoosh!
"AH!" when Flemming tried to stand up and leave, an arrow as fast as a bolt of lightning pierced his shoulder and nailed him to the chair. It happened so fast as it took several seconds for them to realize the arrow was fired by the Elf.
"Let me ask you again, where... did... you... get this box?" With each word, the killing intent in his voice increased.
"We... don't know" Shiyon answered. He stared at Shiyon for a few seconds and leaned back as he could tell that Shiyon was telling the truth. He realized they were just pawns sent to do the legwork and the real mastermind behind who was manipulating the events is somewhere else.
"DON!" Suddenly a thunderous roar reverberated the ships and the rainy ocean. The roar made the ship shake violently. Arwen and the Black-armored men quickly took out their weapons and prepared to defend their King because they could tell the roar was not a friendly one.
"You mess.."
Whoosh!
When Flemming opened his mouth again, Don slightly waved his finger as a wind blade severed Flemming's head from his shoulder. Feeling the hot splash of blood on her face, Shiyon's body couldn't stop shivering.
"Let's go meet him" Don stood up and made his way towards the outside to meet the person who roared his name.

(A few hours before)
Through the thick dark forests of Everlight, Grey was leading Knight and Arrora to find Reghys. Since Grey had an acute sense of smell, she was helping Knight and Arrora track Reghys. Plus, Grey was worried about her friend and fellow beast's sudden disappearance.
"Knight, Reghys will be fine right?" Arrora asked worriedly as Knight sighed.
"I hope so" they were walking through the forest for an hour and still they didn't find a clue about Reghy's whereabouts or where she was keeping her egg.
"Quit worrying Arrora, she will be fine. She's a dragon for god's sake"
Grey rebuked.
"I know Grey but it's not like her to disappear without telling us"
"I wonder if her disappearance has something to do with the rusty box I brought from the Evelon Continent" before Reghys disappeared, she was working on the box that had traces of Battle energy and she said she's getting close to find the box's secrets.
"I don't think so, Knight. The box is still at her workplace and BEnedict said he saw her leaving the hall as usual"
"We're getting closer," Grey suddenly said. Knight sensed a lifeform near them and he made his way in front of Grey and Arrora.
After the three of them cautiously walked for a few minutes, they saw a gigantic tree and in the center of the tree, there was a crimson red Egg, Reghys's egg.
"She's not here" Arrora looked around the place and saw no trail of Reghys.
"Knight, Arrora" Just when Arrora's voice faded, Grey called out for Knight and Arrora from a few meters away from the egg.
Knight sensed dread and fear in Grey's voice as he rushed towards her.
Grey was standing with her fur sticking out in shock and when Knight got closer, his heart skipped a beat.
"It's Reghys's" Arrora dropped to her knees the moment she saw the puddle of blood. Grey smelled the blood and confirmed it belongs to Reghys.
Grey and Arrora couldn't help but think the worst. Grey's eyes welled up because she knew Reghys's wouldn't leave her egg alone if she was fine.
Knight was too stunned by looking at the puddle of blood but he took a few deep breaths and looked around the area.
"There's only her blood" Grey and Arrora lifted their heads and looked at Knight bewildered.
"If there was a battle, there would be another trail of blood and signs of a battle. But looked around, there was no one here before us except Reghys, there's a chance Reghys used her blood to do something else"
"You're right" Grey whipped off her tears with her paws and circled the blood puddle.
"There's only one set of Reghys's footprints, she disappeared from here. The branches above are untouched, which means she didn't fly off"
"She used the teleporter" Arrora's heart calmed down after hearing Knight and Grey.
"If she used the teleporter, Nicolas can help us find where she went"
