Chapter 29:
[System Prompt: Tinkers Construct TAIGA add-on Alloy downloaded successfully loaded.]
[System Prompt: Since you have downloaded and activated a new module, you have obtained a Lucky Block. This Lucky Block will randomly provide an item from any known module.]
Accompanied by an electronic notification, a Lucky Block materialized in Steve's inventory.
Enthralled by the sight, Fang Mo shifted his attention to the Lucky Block. As a player, he couldn't resist the temptation of opening it and receiving a prize.
While Fang Mo prepared to revel in the excitement of the lottery, Nick Fury became increasingly agitated. Fang Mo had abruptly ceased speaking, causing him frustration.
Nick Fury's thoughts were consumed by the fact that Hydra agents had infiltrated his organization and even taken control of his hometown. What infuriated him the most was that he still had to pay them salaries. The mere thought made him restless.
"Can you gather information about their leader?" Nick Fury couldn't help but ask. "I need details such as their name, appearance, or position. I'll find a way to investigate them myself."
"The secrets of heaven must remain concealed," Fang Mo dismissed the request. He was occupied with the lottery and had no time or interest in engaging with the other party. He immediately instructed Steve to right-click and open the Lucky Block.
However, perhaps due to Nick Fury's vexation, the flash of white light resulted in no extraordinary artifact materializing in Steve's hand. Instead, a U-shaped magnet appeared.
"Hmm? What's this...?" Fang Mo was taken aback and promptly examined the item.
It was called the "Ore Magnet," an item he recognized from his favorite mod, Twilight Forest.
As for its function...
It aligned with the ground, and a right-click would bring buried ores to the surface.
At first glance, it seemed quite potent, capable of attracting ores.
But in reality, the magnet had limited durability. After several uses, it would completely disintegrate. Furthermore, its range of attraction was minimal, retrieving only a few pieces of iron ore at most each time.
If the lackluster items in the Minecraft world were ranked, this would undoubtedly be classified as T0 levela symbol of worthlessness.
"Damn!" Fang Mo couldn't help but curse upon seeing this.
In the next moment, as if a sudden realization struck him, Fang Mo turned his gaze directly to Nick Fury in front of him.
"It must be you." Fang Mo stared at Nick Fury's face, unable to resist the urge to facepalm. "I knew it. Next time, I'll have to burn incense and worship Buddha..."
"It seems you've encountered yet another setback," Nick Fury remarked. "According to your Eastern saying, is this the price for leaking secrets?"
"If I were to face retribution every time I leaked secrets, the heavens would have struck me with lightning and killed me long ago," Fang Mo retorted, rolling his eyes. "Based on my penchant for wildly spoiling information, it's no longer a matter of leaking secrets. I'm practically taunting the gods..."
"So, was what you said earlier true or not?" Nick Fury's concern about the previous topic was evident as he persistently inquired, "Did S.H.I.E.L.D. truly have numerous Hydra agents undercover? Do you possess any evidence?"
"Do you believe everything I say?" Fang Mo curiously inquired.
"At the very least, it's worth considering," Nick Fury honestly replied. "We have analyzed your personality, and you never speak meaningless lies."
"Oh? You've analyzed my personality?" Fang Mo became intrigued. "Tell me more."
"You're aggressive, have a strong desire for attention, and hold grudges," Nick Fury explained. "Based on reports from multiple psychological agents, you are an extremely arrogant and conceited person. You show no mercy to enemies, but because of this, you disdain lying and engaging in deceptive tricks. Of course, it doesn't rule out the possibility that you're planning something grand, like world destruction."
"As I said before, I have no interest in destroying the world," Fang Mo rolled his eyes. "What's the point of killing everyone? I'd rather have thousands of gold blocks and indulge in the sinful life of capitalism..."
"If you have so much money that you don't know what to do with it, can you spare me a few gold blocks?" Nick Fury couldn't help but ask.
"No, even if Fukurina asks her sugar daddy for money, doesn't she have to send a couple of selfies first?" Fang Mo retorted. "You're always asking for money... Even biological fathers don't get such treatment."
"Then what do you want? Should I send you a couple of selfies as well?" Nick Fury inquired.
"Get lost," Fang Mo imagined that scenario and felt like he would lose his mind. "If you have nothing else to do, go back and apprehend Hydra. Don't bother me while I'm studying sorcery."
Indeed, Nick Fury was occupied.
After failing to elicit any answers from Fang Mo, he swiftly departed on his Quinjet.
That mirrored the original storyline quite closely, as only Agent Coulson and Hawkeye appeared in Thor. It was likely that Nick Fury had other pressing matters, such as attending to the recently awakened Captain America. If Fang Mo hadn't contacted him, he probably wouldn't have shown up.
Once Nick Fury left, Fang Mo secured a nearby room for himself.
Since he had no pressing engagements, he could utilize this opportunity to interact with Thor and experiment with the real-life manifestation of Minecraft items.
The night passed swiftly.
Early the next morning, Agent Coulson approached Fang Mo with a stack of information.
"Mr. Fang Mo, we have discovered some leads."
Coulson handed the information to Fang Mo and said, "The town nearby lacks advanced technology and surveillance cameras. However, we received a report this morning about a peculiar man attempting to purchase a horse at a pet store. He had also previously assaulted hospital staff and forcefully slammed a coffee cup on the ground after drinking from it..."
"That's our guy," Fang Mo nodded. "Has he been apprehended?"
"That man is quite swift," Coulson shook his head. "But as per the director's instructions, we have disseminated information about the hammer. If that man... if he truly is Thor, he should come charging in soon upon receiving the news."
