Chapter 159: What if My Stake is Teddy?
Chapter 159: Chapter 159: What if My Stake is Teddy?
“Shall we talk?”
“Talk about what?”
Abigail immediately thought of the time she went to the hospital to negotiate terms with Brandon, that unpleasant and stifling atmosphere. She remembered it vividly.
What to talk about now? Abigail immediately thought of Ruby.
Today was Brandon and Ruby’s engagement party, but Ruby had hired a hitman.
Although she was lucky enough to avoid the reaper, it didn’t mean Ruby hadn’t committed a crime.
Thinking of this, Abigail glanced at the man in the wheelchair, secretly admiring Brandon’s efficiency. He must have found some clues and deduced it was Ruby, and now he was here to negotiate terms?
Her mood inexplicably irritable, this man himself could be unreasonable, yet he wouldn’t give others a chance to argue back. What kind of logic was that?
“What if I don’t want to talk?” Abigail no longer avoided Brandon’s gaze, her bright black eyes met his, as if trying to see through the man in the wheelchair.
“You don’t have the right to refuse.” Brandon looked at Abigail, his tone firm.
Abigail grew angrier, her eyes full of sarcasm, “Are you really confident? I remember saving your life. Yet, you didn’t keep your promise, and now you want to force me?”
“What if my leverage is Teddy?” Brandon looked at the little guy still sucking his thumb. The little chubby boy turned to face him out of anger, exposing his white chubby cheeks again, making Brandon’s Adam’s apple move slightly.
“Shameless. He’s your son!”
“You can choose not to talk?” Brandon looked at the little chubby boy whose face was flushed with anger, finding a trace of amusement.
Abigail already guessed what Brandon wanted to propose. After her anger subsided, her eyes dimmed. She knew some things couldn’t be avoided.
After a while, she placed the little one who had fallen asleep after eating on the bed, covered him with a thin blanket, adjusted her clothes, then turned to look at the man in the wheelchair, “Alright.”
Involving Teddy, she had no choice.
Brandon curled his lips in satisfaction.

On the other side of the hotel.
Ruby was in a great mood when she received news that the girls had been taken away by the police, but she didn’t show it on her face. Instead, she appeared worried, “Taken by the police?”
“Yes, what should we do? They are all my fans. If they got caught because of me, it will surely stir up discussions online.” Mona Wilde was frantic. She hadn’t expected things to escalate to the police station.
“Let’s first find out what happened. They’re just some kids causing trouble, it won’t be a big deal.” Ruby patted Mona, comforting her softly.
But in her heart, she was secretly pleased. That fat bitch Abigail should be dead. Although the girls were found by Mona, one of them was her plant. The plan was to take advantage of the chaos to kill Abigail. If that didn’t work, she had another trick up her sleeve.
After failing to catch Abigail in the hospital, Ruby had been thinking of another opportunity. Abigail alive was a thorn in her side, always threatening her dream of becoming a wealthy housewife.
With Brandon’s failed surgery, he was on the verge of dying. George Piers would inevitably inherit all of Brandon’s assets. As long as she held on to that son, the Piers family would be within her grasp.
The biggest variable was Abigail, so Abigail had to die.
Just after Abigail escaped, she had instructed the hired assassins. Those foolish bad girls became her cover for the real kill.
Now that the girls were caught, it meant the fat bitch was already in trouble.
Thinking of this, Ruby suppressed her glee, watching the frantic Mona seeking help everywhere, feeling quite good. Secretly, she sneered at her. A village girl who landed in Clark Stone’s bed and still dreamed of Brandon? What a joke!
