Rebirth: Over the Horizon

'I don't know how much time had passed...' 

Adam slowly opened his eyes, he was lying on the bed of the [Fountain of Life].

Thanks to the [Mermaid's necklace] he previously got, he didn't face much trouble during the healing process. 

'If didn't had the necklace give by Emily...I would have drowned to death by now...' 

Adam tilted his head and slightly touched his face, the ugly and desorted meats in his face was completely recovered. 

The left hand which was perviously burned to crisp was also restored, he then sighed and began to sawm upwards towards the land. 

"Splash..." 

Adam got glimpse of his face while walking out of the water, 'Hum? My face seems more than before.' 

Then he took a shimmering double shelled from his inventory and placed some feets before the [Fountain of life].

[Are you sure you want to plant a teleportation device here?]

[Yes/No] 

"Yes." 

After a second, a new teleportation portal opened before him and the teleporting destination directly linked to HQ and Atlanta kingdom. 

When Adam was just about to go back to HQ by using the newly planted teleportation portal. 

A new notification appeared before him, [Trial (1) 

-obtain the druid ring.] 

[Druid Ring: A ring which temporarily allows the user to shape shift into other animals, birds humans etc. For a temporary period of time.] 

[Do you want to teleport to place now?] 

Adam thought for while, 'A random mission out of nowhere.' 

His face become little sour, even if he tries to retreat from the mission it will only affect the relationship between Goddess of space and time and Adam. 

'I don't have other choice...' 

"Yes." 

With white bright rays covered his vision, Adam quickly arrived at another place. 

When Adam's vision cleared again, under the night sky all around him was only a desolate ruin. 

'Maybe this place has once been glorious, but its glory has been submerged in the mighty historical river.'

Ada. looked at the broken walls and ruins here. The ruins were already covered with golden weeds, like weeds on a wild wilderness.

[Find the teleportation circle and reach the destination!] 

"..."

Adam displayed a irritated expression, 'Then why did you teleported me here!? Will not it would be better if you directly teleported there!!' 

Adam's inner self screamed, nevertheless, he began to search for the teleportation circle. 

He wandered around the ruin for more than two hours, shattering the rocks, destroying the veins plucking out the remnant pillars. 

Finally, he found the magic circle which had already ceased to function, though there were many glyphs and weird structures on it, however it wasn't glowing. 

From it's incapability of glowing one could understand that the teleportation circle isn't functioning anymore.

[Defeat the low level demon] 

Adam's muscles tensed up at this phrase, 'How come there id appearance of demon this fast!' 

The monsters he had faced till now are only mutants which were affected by the demonic energy after the tear of veil. 

Even though, Adam had never faced L

legitimate demon in his perviously life, from the rumours he had hear they were actually lot powerful than what the system indicate's as their level. 

Just as Adam was in deep thought a ugly cry fell on his ears, "Keke..." 

It was a bit similar to that kc the sound made by goblins, however the sound was very intense. 

"Kekkeke..."

The low level demon stood few meters away from where Adam was standing. 

The monster had cyan colored skin, it's face was hideous with two curved and sharp horns on the top of its head, itts pupils are red, the color of the blood.

[Low-level demon]

"Low level demon..." As he said Adam stared at this hideous creature whose level was miles apart him. 

The demon roared angrily, looking at Adam with ferocious eyes. He smiled slightly, not affected by the devil's intimidation.

'You did the wrong thing by staying still...' Adam told in his heart and waved his weapon slightly. 

"Cyro-frzee" 

Its body was first covered with a layer of hoarfrost, and then it quickly froze.

Even though it was freezed by him, it face had a creepy smile which slightly made him shudder his body. 

"Fireball" 

Adam casted another spell, however just as he finished releasing the fireball the, he eyes ran towards the place where he sealed the movements of the demonic monste.

However, by the time his fireball reached the demon it was already not in it's place. 

'From by back...' 

Adam ft blood list and magical energy from the back, aa he predicted it was the demon. 

"The rumors I heard in my perviousl life were true..." 

He swiftly turned around, yet, one if the two draggers if the demon went into his left shoulder. 

"Agrh..." 

Letting out a low growl, Adam defended it's follow up attack and he lunged forward while pushing the opponent backward. 

At this time his HP was below 84% and the demon's HP was still above 75%.

Sensing that it's losing the upper hand in the combat, the low level demon leaped backwards. 

"Fireball!" 

Adam's [Fireball] dealt only 13% damage to the low level demon. This low-level demon has dark and flame attributes, so the damage of fireball is not ideal. 

'That's why I casted [Cryo-freze], however I don't know how it brok free from my ice spell...' 

'Okay, let's use that!' 

"Space draggers!" 

It was the only skill he had which dealt more damage at a cost of less mana. 

This time a series of small draggers protruded out of the small ripples and launched against the low level demon. 

Although, the demon escaped some of the draggers, many of them still pierced multiple parts of it's body. 

It's HP went below 25% and Adam prepared himself it goes bresek just in case. 

'Shit!' 

Unfortunately, the demon did had the bresek buff, it's claws were enveloped by dark flame and it's body size increased by half. 

The demon furiously ran towards Adam and thrusted it's dragger towards his Abdomen, he defended himself by placing Abyss angel in the middle. 

"Tink..." 

However due to the impact he was pushed back several meters behind, "Ice glomes" 

Fortunately, there where his puppets who were made of ice surrounded the demon and crushed it with their behemoth bodies. 

'Yet, this demon had destroyed two of my ice golems in that short amount of time....demons are truly as powerful as rumoured.'
