Rebirth: Over the Horizon

After walking a few meters again Adam and Leon again met a group of ice dogs, they were strolling there and seemed to be scavenging for food. 

Adam gestured to Leon to protect himself with a defence rune, then he raised his weapon and cast. 

"Earth hands" 

'As I expected...' 

Adam stared at the place where ice dogs stood, instead of the two earth hands which usually pop out. 

This time two beautiful hands made out of elegant ice manifested beside the group of dogs and presses them to death.

Adam smiled at the same time startling his smile another window popped up before his eyes.

'Ah, I didn't expect this...'

Adam looked at the snowy sky, even though it wasn't bright at least there was light inside this broken dimension. 

Unlike, the place he lived which is only illuminated by redness and darkness. 

"Anyway, Leon who did you enter the portal." 

"Guild master, actually when our team were resting after dealing with a large group demonic frogs, I wandered around at my own will." 

"Then, I spotted this dark portal...out of curiosity I tried to enter it, but I got trapped." 

"Oh..." 

"Did you see anything weird before breaking into the portal?" 

Leon heard Adam's question and he recalled carefully and said, "Sorry, I didn't see anything."

Adam aburtly waved abyss angel, and a fluid barrier formed before him. 

Leon stared for a moment, and then his gaze fell not far ahead. There was a creeping monster that almost blends with the background.

He quickly took out a scroll and tore it into two, then a glowing red barrier formed around his body. 　　

 If it weren't for Adam to see the wild monster in advance, there was enough chance for both of them to get killed.

'Even though there is a huge level difference between us, if it attacked me by surprise, there is no doubt...U would have died by now.'

 After seeing the existence of the icy claw bear, Leon couldn't help but admire his guild master's observation power.

"Bright flame" 

Then he activated the skill [Bright Flame], which boosted both Adam's HP and MP by 20%.

The ice claw bear moves very slowly, but it brings a sense of oppression. Its pupils are huge, with cruel and bloodthirsty light beating in it.

 With the blessing of "Bright Flame", Adam became calm and relaxed in his heart.

When he was about to act on the slowly approaching icy claw bear, he suddenly felt its cold, sarcastic look.

[Icy Bear's debuff has been nullified] 

Adam has never encountered this type of monster, so he is not familiar with the monsters here. 

But that kind of treacherous and cold eyes was not the first time he had met.

'This monster...he is not recognizing who is its opponent is!' 

Adam swiftly went forward and leapt from the ground, seeing his reckless move which was full of openings the icy bear ridiculed him. 

However, when it swing its claws towards him, there was only an afterimage. 

In an instant, Adam appeared above the head of the icy beer and his weapon dug deep into its meaty head. 

"Ah..." 

Hearing Leon's cry he quickly retracted his gaze from the icy bear and glanced at Leon. 

Leon was lying a few meters away from the place where he was originally stood on. 

His red barrier had many cracks on it and in some parts, the crack itself had disappeared. 

He immediately turned his head and looked behind him, and saw another invisible ice clawed bear there. 

As for why Adam could see it, it was because its stealth technique was not very good.

The icy bear ran towards Leon without wasting its time, "Fireball." 

Adam temporarily stalled their moment by attacking the icy bear with a fireball, then he aimed and released his weapon towards the monster. 

His spear made a beautiful parabola on the mid-air and pierced the temple of the icy beer. 

Blood gushed out of the still-sealed wound, and the icy bear staggeringly tried to move forward. 

However, after a few steps, it fell to the ground and died. 

Adam slowly sucked the body of this huge monster into his inventory. 

Since they were in the snowy atmosphere and had thick fur, Adam thought it will come in handy in the future. 

Then, he walked next to Leon to check upon his weak guild member. 

"Heal"

After healing him for a few more seconds the shaman finally regained his consciousness. 

"How are feeling?" 

"Not much better..." 

"Is that so?" 

Adam stood up and lightly nudged Leon with his food, "Let's go! Even if you are not feeling well, we still have to move on. Let's try to find a shelter first!" 

Both of them walked along the path where the icy bear came from, after walking for a few minutes. 

The aqua-blue object in the field of their vision gradually enlarged. The outline of it can be now seen clearly, it is a forest made of ice. 

After Adam saw it clearly, he sighed slightly. Although he willingly jumped into this dark portal. 

He wasn't expected to arrive into a [Spectacular] which had already been destroyed. 

That ice forest is not for fun, there must be boss-level units in it. It's just not certain whether the bosses are in beast form or human form.

Adam's inner hope is a boss in the form of a beast, so the difficulty will be lower. 

If it is a humanoid monster, although the experience value reward after killing the monster will be high. 

There will be no guarantee that he will also come out of it unscathed, not to mention there was his weak subordinate. 

Adam and Leon approached the ice forest, and the water-blue ice forest was occupied by a group of ice fiend dogs. 

They heard or smelled the arrival of the two, and they all raised their hair and roared.

'It seems this will not be an easy journey...' 

Adam thought as he refilled himself with an HP and MP potion and prepared himself for a rough expedition.
