I first used this skill to connect to a place where I wanted to go right now. Since meeting with the Son of Laplace isn't feasible until a week till those demon worshippers find a way, and I had little clue about the First Fate Weaver, I decided to take a one week break for now.

All this fighting and trying was exhausting so I guess, I deserve a break at the very least.

"Hmmm? You are back already. Is everything all right?" Wesker, my clone asked me, as he looked at me through the pile of paperwork.

Yeah, I was back at Border Town. I figured this place felt more home to me than any other place in this world right now.

Observing the moonpie on his table, I moved closer to him and picked up one, before starting to eat it. Then sitting on the empty chair on the side, I looked at him as I transferred all the memories that I had.

"Oh!" He spoke before he continued to work on his own. Talking with my clone would be the same as talking with myself, and since we both have literally the same memories, I think I already know what I know. Still…

"What do you think I should do?" I asked my clone as he slowly paused his paperwork before looking at me for a few seconds before he returned back to his work.

"You will figure it out," He spoke before silently working again.

Guess so.

"I will be going for a walk now," I spoke as I got up and moved outside the shop. Since I was here as Adam, not many people knew me other than who remembered my face. Even those who had seen my picture in the posters, shouldn't really be able to tell that it's me at a glance.

For now I was wearing some casual clothes as I walked around the city and then the forest. I saw many people on my way, Leena and Anna were busy with their own work with shop supplies and stuff, while the new witches were adjusting to the open world.

Things were pretty much the same as before.

I stayed around for a couple of hours before I got bored here as well. Though, it wasn't exactly like I was bored but mostly the entire thing with Laplace was hard for me to let go.n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om

"I should check out Morpheus," I thought before opening a portal to the place where he was. One good thing that came out with the synergy of the clones and this skill was that I can open a dimensional portal even at places where the clones were.

"Hey Morphe-"

"mmhph…daddy… harder! Harder! Har-"

I saw Morpheus with three other naked girls, having the fun of his life. I am the main body, right? I doubted that for a second before shaking my head. Those girls had their eyes narrowed at me before Morpheus spoke with a serious gaze,

"What happened?"

"Fuck you!" I cursed before opening a portal back to Border Town.

Well. It's not like I can't get girls. Since I can create my face as handsome as possible with the [Ring of Illusion!] that I had, I don't need to worry about getting girls. Just that I find manipulating gods and stuff, and preparing for the players more entertaining than spending time like that.

Though I guess, since Morpheus has nothing to do except keeping a watch over the World Order, it kind of makes sense that he has enough time to move around and have fun.

'Well. Let's forget about it,' I shook my head before recalling that there was one person I could meet right now.

"Let's see where you are right now… hmmm.. ah! There," I spoke out as I opened a portal outside the main guild of the city of Light, Azenor, in a nearby alley.

And then walking towards the guild, I entered it as I found a familiar face on the reception. Moving closer to her, I called her out,

"Can I get a quest?"

"…"

Hearing my words, she immediately turned around and looked at me with her eyes wide open.

"Hey Evelyn. It has been a while," I spoke to her but she did not respond at all. And then after a few seconds

-Thud!

She fell unconscious as her body fell backwards.

"Evelyn! Hey who are- huh? You are alive? Wait! Oh! Evelyn!"

"Somebody call a healer!"

30 minutes later…

"I didn't think I would ever see you again," Evelyn had finally calmed down after waking up properly. Even now she was pinching my cheeks to see if I was real or an illusion.

"I was just on a break so I thought I should see some of my friends. Sorry for running on such a short notice, I was about to meet a- I was on a Quest," I changed my sentence mid way as I saw her eyes narrowed at me.

Though she sighed as she spoke,

"It's all right. I know who you are, and you probably had greater worries to handle. Though I am still glad that you are alive."

A smile was present on her face, which made me smile back before a sigh escaped my mouth. Somehow the story of Laplace was constantly present on my mind, and noticing that, Evelyn asked me,

"What happened? Everything all right?"

"Not really. I am in a pinch, sort of," I spoke as I looked at her. And she pondered before speaking,

"I don't know if I can be of any help, but if you need anything from me, I will try my best."

"Thanks Evelyn. I just honestly don't know. There is this guy who is about to destroy our world, and the 7 Gods of this world along with 5 Higher Gods and the king of Gods are fighting against him. But the problem is that I want to save the Gods as well as that guy who holds the power to destroy everything," I spoke out my concern with pure honesty.

"…"

Though I don't think Evelyn could help me out here. Kinda obvious.

"Forget about it. Let's get something to eat, I am a bit hungry," I tried changing the topic as I looked at her again.

"…"

Though I don't think 'forget about it' was gonna do the trick here either.
