Chapter 76 Territory Feature
Meanwhile, within Thunderfall City, a sudden change occurred to the sleeping residents. Their bodies began glowing bright red, startling the underage children, who had previously not been affected by the red mist created by the pan sauce.
"Mother!"n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om
"Why is the red light back!?"
"Ancestors help!"
*Woosh*
As the children screamed for help, a sudden gust of wind blew through the city, causing the red glow enveloping the drunk, sleeping residents to increase in intensity.
Soon, once the red glow reached a dozen feet out from their bodies, it receded into their bodies. With it, regardless of their previous Mage Rank, they experienced a sudden increase in their Mana Reserves. Unconsciously, they each advanced by a Rank.
Immediately after, the residents began waking up to the delight of the children.
"Grandpa!" A little girl shouted with tears streaming down her face when she saw her grandpa waking up. Immediately, she lunged at him and embraced him for dear life.
"Grandpa! Grandpa!"
"What happened!?" The little girl's grandfather asked, bewildered by his granddaughter's reaction.
Suddenly, he felt an anomaly, causing him to furrow his brows.
"I feel… different," He realized he felt more energetic and revitalized. And to his shock, he realized he was standing up without his cane!
"This… is this a dream!?" He mumbled in a dazed, yet excited voice.
Similar events occurred everywhere in Thunderfall City.
Since Thunderfall City was a low-ranked city, many of the Mages were weak with low-level talents. After struggling to increase their Mage Rank for years, they had given up all hope.
Yet, to their shock, their Mage Ranks had increased, thus, their lifespans were prolonged.
Meanwhile, back in Transcendence, Lucian, Lily, and Fenwick were still clueless about the shocking events that had occurred in the city.

'...I didn't expect to become a City Lord of sorts.' Lucian mumbled to himself after seeing the System Notifications while also wondering if the Territory Feature was beneficial or disadvantageous to him.
After a few moments, Lucian asked,
[System, do you know why I unlocked the Territory Feature?]
[Yes I do know, but it would be better if the Host sees it himself. If not for the Runic Formation with Silence Runic Symbols embedded within the building, preventing noise from entering the building, you would have already been aware.] The System answered.
Seeing Lucian's weird expression, Lily tilted her head in worry.
After a moment of hesitation, Lily asked
"Big Brother Lucian, are you sad that Lily ate seven slices of the steak?"
Hearing Lily's voice, Lucian broke out of his daze and looked at Lily.
"Of course not, I was distracted by something else. As for you eating seven slices, I don't mind, since they were for you anyway." Lucian said.
"Really? But wasn't this originally for Big Brother Lucian?" Lily asked, not quite believing him.
"Originally, I wanted us to share four slices each, but after you saved my life, I decided to reward you with three more slices as a way of saying thanks," Lucian replied in a genuine tone.
Despite Lucian's indifferent face, Lily believed him after hearing his genuine-sounding tone.
Lucian continued, "But you will still have to pay for the meal."
"How much does the Sous Vide Filet Mignon cost?" Fenwick suddenly asked. For some reason, he felt an ominous feeling.
And the ominous feeling only grew when he saw a corner of Lucian's lips rise after hearing his question.
"The Sous Vide Filet Mignon only costs a measly fifty Low-Grade Mana Stones," Lucian replied indifferently, as though fifty Low-Grade Mana Stones were no different than dirt.
"Sorry, what did you say? I think my ears have gone deaf." Fenwick calmly said, while fingering his ears, disgusting Lucian.
He then looked at Lily and asked, "Lily, did you hear what the Senior just said?"
Lily smiled mischievously. She was not the least bit surprised by the price of the Sous VIde Filet Mignon. In fact, she had expected such a price from the start. And once again, Lucian's dish was worth every Low-Grade Mana Stone.
[System, I would like to add a new rule for my restaurant.] Lucian suddenly said.
[Very well.] The System responded.
After a moment of thinking, Lucian responded, [No customer is allowed to disgust the chef-owner and employees of Transcendence.]
Suddenly, a new rule appeared on the Transcendence menu.
—-----------
Sixth Rule:
'No customer is allowed to intentionally disgust the chef-owner and employees of Transcendence.'
—-----------
[The Sixth Rule has been added to the menu.] The System said after adding the newest rule to the menu with a slight adjustment. There were many Races in existence, who were born disgusting. For example, the Scraps Slime, which ate all trash, even used diapers. Therefore, it would not be fair to them just because they were born to eat trash.
[Thanks.] Lucian said, and without missing a heartbeat, he repeated to Fenwick, "The Sous Vide Filet Mignon only costs a measly fifty Low-Grade Mana Stones. Whereas, the Siren's Melody Poached is even cheaper, it's only five Low-Grade Mana Stones., Therefore, your total is sixty Low-Grade Mana Stones. Will you be paying separately or together?"
Instantly, Fenwick's face paled at the mention of the price.
This time… even if Fenwick did not want to believe his ears had heard correctly, he had no choice but to accept it.
If Lucian was not terrifyingly strong, he would have exploded out in anger; however, he could not do that. Otherwise, his and Lily's lives would be in jeopardy. Compared to fifty Low-Grade Mana Stones, their lives were far more important.
With that in mind, Fenwick reluctantly took out sixty Low-Grade Mana Stones from his Spatial Ring and placed them on the table.
"Thank you, dear customer," Lucian said with a bright smile, causing Lily's heart to beat faster, while Fenwick gnashed his teeth and cursed the bastard inwardly.
'Damnit, this bastard is pissing me off on purpose.' Fenwick had never felt as pissed off as he was today.
'I am never coming back here ever again!' He swore.
-------------
Sixty Low-Grade Mana Stones have been added.
-------------
<{You have a total of 65 Low-Grade Mana Stones.}>
After placing the sixty Low-Grade Mana Stones into his Inventory, Lucian continued, still with a bright smile, yet now mixed with greed, "Oh right, dear customer, you haven't eaten the Sous Vide Filet Mignon yet, have you? Would you like me to start the cooking process? It will only take approximately two hours and thirty minutes, you can pay now and come back later."
'... I think I've found a new reason to get stronger!' Fenwick mumbled, feeling an even stronger urge to get stronger, just to beat up Lucian.
He responded a moment later, with a stiff smile."Senior has quite a knack for making jokes,"
However, Lucian continued as though he misunderstood why Fenwick was not ordering his Sous Vide Filet Mignon, "If you think I will run off with your money, you have nothing to fear. I have always run my establishment with the same policy as the prices of my dish — fair and reasonable."
'... Same policy as the prices of his dish — fair and reasonable.' Fenwick repeated to himself as a vein on his forehead threatened to burst.
"Pfft~ Hehehehe~~" Lily giggled after seeing her Uncle Fenwick's expression.
"Big Brother Lucian, you should stop teasing Uncle Fen, or else we will have to rush him to a healer~!" She added teasingly.
Lucian nodded seriously, "Mm. If something happens to my dear customer, my restaurant will stop receiving customers. Worst of all, my honest and fair reputation will be tarnished."
Fenwick could no longer take it. He stood up with gritted teeth.
"Lily, let's go home." He said and exited the restaurant without even turning around.
After Fenwick left, Lily looked at Lucian and asked, "Big Brother Lucian, does Lily really have to keep everything a secret from Lily's family?"
"Like I said, if you want to tell them, you can. I don't care. But I hope they can keep it a secret." Lucian said with a shrug.
"Really?" Lily asked again, just to make sure.
Lucian nodded.
"I don't mind if others know, as long as the World Spirit and the Universe Spirit don't find out."
"Okay, Lily has decided," Lily said with a beautiful smile.
