154 Chapter 153
"Princess Ruby... Another attack is coming...!"
The skies were also involved in a disruptive conflict with all the chaos happening on the ground in the cities.
The enemy's airships drew closer firing off one weapon after another.
Miniature airships were deployed from the giant one and propelled towards the naval fleets.
These miniature ships contained many Kessho's inside.
They were aiming to infiltrate.
"Deploy another shield! The enemy is on the move, don't let them infiltrate our ship!" Commanded Ruby.
The shield was deployed, and charlotte stepped up with her fan to make her move.
She raised both hands up into the air and wind began gathering around it.
The clouds in the sky began circulating over their heads as before slowly being dragged down.
Even more hair rotated around her horns and travelled down her body all the way down to her arms.
Ruby who watched felt a chill go down her spines.
*Ring*
[Wind Collapse.]
She thrust her arms downwards.
*Ring*
The sound of bells ringing echoed around.
A hole could be seen in the sky in the middle of where the clouds had gathered.
From said hole, a burst of wind rained down on them from said hole.
The mini air ships were forced down, causing some to crash into the ground while others onto a nearby building.
One in particular flew straight into the entrance of a Labyrinth.
Regardless of where they went, those who had crashed into the ground would face the wrath of the zombies.
Ruby who saw this was dumbfounded.
'She was holding back... When we thought.'
Now she understood why they called her the Duchess of wind.
Despite the effort though, quite a few of the miniature ships ended up reaching some of the fleets, crashing into it in the process.
The Kessho's which emerged gave off all the blood lust they could gather.
It was war.
'Damn it! They're already infiltrating and we've yet to cause their main ship any damage!"
*Spurt*
Ruby turned her head back, her pupils dilated and a smile appeared on her face.
The horned ones with the top half of their head being red were making an act, they were fighting the Kessho's who had made it through the wind collapse.
Their aim was to keep damage to a minimum.
"Don't worry about the ship, focus on attacking... Your highness."
A familiar voice came from behind. Turning to the source, a sense of relief fell upon Ruby.
A tall young man with spiky black hair and cold dark eyes. The top half of his horns were a dark red making him recognisable by many from even a far. There kneeled the duke on one knee.
Ruby smiled and glanced at Charlotte who had created a giant cross bow of wind with arrows deployed on it.
"Then... I guess we should start preparing to make our move." Said Ruby.
"Our? You're staying here. The people need their empress to give them commands. I request permission to gather a few nobles and infiltrate on their side."
He had a point, Ruby wouldn't be able to make a move as she needed to be commanding all units.
"You are to take five nobles. Permission Granted."
Ruby would need to leave many nobles behind to defend the fleets.
Since their parents, most of the older nobles stayed behind to defend the Kingdom, they had even less than before the war started as a few had died.
The total number of young nobles remaining was a little over 50.
Each and every one of them was a special card to play in the battle field, they couldn't be moved around aimlessly.
For they were more gifted than the commoners and had the power to turn the tide.
"Thank you, I shan't disappoint, your highness." He responded with a smile and a bow

"We've been granted permission." Said the Duke as he put on a pair of black gloves.
"Took you long enough." A feminine voice responded.
A yellow and black, around the edges, haired lady stood in his path. Her arms were crossed, and a pair of gauntlets resting on her hands.
She wore reinforced leather armour for not only defence but mobility and glared at him with her piercing fiery red eyes.
"Get the others, we can take three more and sorry I'm late, Marchioness."
"We have no time to waste, this isn't a simple battle like fighting the humans was." He continued.

Delta's figure walked alone through the flames.
She was surrounded by the darkness of her flames as she scouted the surroundings.
There were countless burnt corpses, engulfed and being constantly consumed by the flames which rampaged around.
The innocent, the soldiers. Neither were spared.
Delta winced as she saw this.
This all happened while she was away... While she was busy enjoying the festival, these people were dying.
Self-hatred began to bloom in her heart as she continued her walk.
'The number of corpses aren't as much as I thought... Did they manage to escape? Or were they captured?' She questioned as she peeked in through the rooms.
"Grah..." A groan came from behind her.
Startled, Delta unsheathed her sword and turned around only to meet eye to eye with the burning skull of a being charging at her.
She leapt and watched as even more of the flesh of the being was burnt off, despite that it continued to move and lunged at her even.
It's groans filled the air, mid-leap.
It was a zombie, an abnormal mutated one at that.
Being inches away from her shoulder, the zombie bit down after completing it's leap.
*Clunk*
To it's surprise all it ended up biting down on were it's own teeth as Delta's figure disappeared, leaving behind a trail of dark flames.
The flaming zombie stopped, and looked around ignoring the burning of it's own flesh.
There Delta stood, just a few steps behind it.
[Dark Flame Blitz.]
Without looking back, she sheathed her blade and the Zombie's head fell off of it's neck.
She looked around only to be left in surprise as the sound of more groans resounded around her, zombies came rushing through the fire.
There were more zombies on the loose charging right at her.
