"Young miss, don't be anxious. Let's see his capability", old woman Liu Nanxi appeared behind Shen Ruyan.

"But, he is only an early stage Meridian opening realm cultivator. What can he do in a battle like this?", Shen Ruyan spoke with a worried tone.

"No need to worry, young miss. I am keeping my eyes on him", Liu Nanxi spoke while keeping her eyes on the distant battlefield.

"Aunt, please bring him out if he can't hold on", Shen Ruyan spoke. Her heart felt anxious as she looked at Zhan Chen with a worried look.

"Looks like, this brat is really capable. I am surprised that young miss is worrying about him to this extent", Liu Nanxi spoke with a teasing smile on her face.

Shen Ruyan blushed but her eyes never left the moving figure of Zhan Chen.

The battle between the True essence realm experts was already in chaos. Both side had a cautious look in their eyes as they battled their opponents. The most nervous ones were the Gu family experts because they didn't believe one another. Just now two of their True essence realm experts turned traitors and they lost five of their True essence realm experts in the blink of an eye. After this, they were cautious of each other. Their cooperation failed and the Zhan family True essence realm experts who were lesser in number, now hold the advantage.

Same couldn't be said for the battle between the Meridian opening realm warriors as the Gu family experts had the numerical advantage. The Zhan family warriors were brave but their defense was falling apart because the mumbers of the Gu family warriors.

Zhan Chen's figure flashed as he reached near a Meridian opening realm warrior of the Gu family.

"Bam", his fist landed heavily on the back of the Gu family warrior. The Gu family warrior had already noticed his arrival but he was busy fighting a Zhan family guard. He tried to dodge but his attempt was futile as Zhan Chen threw a punch in a lightning quick manner.

His body staggered forward and the attack of the Zhan family guard landed squarely on his body. Blood flew in the air as a long cut appeared in the chest region of the Gu family warrior. The Zhan family guard was quick in his attack. He saw the opportunity and stabbed again at the Gu family warrior. 

The body of the Gu family warrior fell down powerlessly on the ground. "Fourth young master, why have you come?", the Zhan family guard asked after seeing Zhan Chen in the battlefield.

"No need to worry about me. Go help others", Zhan Chen replied.

He bent down and picked up the sword of the dead Gu family warrior. He held the sword firmly in his hand and and pointed the tip of the sword towards the sky. "How many years has it been since I get to use a sword again?", he murmured as an expression of melancholy appeared in his young looking face.

"Enemies of my Zhan clan. Just you wait, sword sage Zhan Chen is not dead yet. Let the heaven be my witness. With the sword in my hand, my sword path is going to begin again", Zhan Chen roared out in his mind.

A determined look appeared on his eyes as a subtle change appeared in the environment. Swords started to tremble as a monstrous sword aura poured over the battlefield.

"Is this sword heart! Who is using it?", a person hidden in the sky murmured. His expression was full of surprise as he carefully scanned his surrounding.

"It is gone! What is happening?", he muttered after the sword aura vanished in an instant.

Every person irrespective of who it was stood stunned for a moment. Their heart was full of fear as they felt the mighty sword aura around them.

"I wonder which senior has appeared. I have never heard of such a person who is capable of releasing such a mighty sword aura", Liu Nanxi muttered after being silent for few moments.

"I think he is just passing over this place because the sword aura vanished within a second", Shen Ruyan spoke as took a deep breath.

Zhan Chen didn't know how much commotion he would create this time. He felt excited for a moment and the sword aura leaked out from his body. He suppressed it within a second but it still caused a stir among the warriors.

Zhan Chen stepped on the ground heavily and launched himself towards another Gu family warrior. The family warrior tried to stop his attack but a cut still appeared on his chest. Blood gushed out like a fountain and the body of the Gu family warrior fell powerlessly on the ground.

Zhan Chen picked another target and he reached near him within a second. The person felt thretened. So, he launched an all out attack towards Zhan Chen.

Zhan Chen side stepped lightly as the axe of the Gu family warrior missed his body by an inch. He swung his sword in a lightning quick manner as a cut appeared on the neck of the Gu family warrior.

"Glug", the Gu family warrior tried to stop blood from pouring out but blood started to came out from his mouth. He moved his hand to cover his mouth and a stream of blood came out from his neck. His body fell to the ground after a moment.

Zhan Chen didn't wait to see the ending of the Gu family warrior. He moved rapidly and launched an attack on another Gu family warrior. The Gu family warrior was attacking a Zhan family guard. Zhan Chen's sword approached his neck in a lightning quick manner.

The Gu family warrior hurried lowered his head to the side as Zhan Chen's sword pierced his shoulder. 

"Bastard", the Gu family warrior cursed as he hurriedly stepped back. "Fourth young master", the Zhan family guard exclaimed in surprise after seeing the person who helped him out.

"I will take care of him. Go, help out others", Zhan Chen spoke and moved towards the injured Gu family warrior. The Zhan family warrior looked at the figure of Zhan Chen who was fiercely attacking the Gu family warrior.

He hesitated a little but still moved away to help others. Zhan Chen finished up his opponent within few seconds. This time the Gu family warrior was somewhat capable as he could defend two attacks of Zhan Chen.

"How can he move so fast!", Shen Ruyan exclaimed as she couldn't keep up with the speed of Zhan Chen. Zhan Chen had managed to finish up three enemies within few seconds which appeared unbelievable to her.

"This brat is not simple", Liu Nanxi spoke as she observed the figure of Zhan Chen. She had a special feeling when he observed the sword attack of Zhan Chen. It felt something special but she couldn't say exactly what was the special feeling within those simple looking attacks of Zhan Chen.

The Gu family warriors finally became alert after Zhan Chen finished up another few warriors of the Gu family. "Brat, you are too vicious", a middle aged man roared and charged towards Zhan Chen.

He was holding a longsword in his hand. He chopped it furiously towards the neck of Zhan Chen. Zhan Chen didn't dodge the attack. He lightly pushed his sword and the fierce attack of the middle-aged man stopped infront of him. 

"How is this possible?", the middle aged man felt confused as he launched another attack towards Zhan Chen. Zhan Chen's body moved in a strange manner as he dodged the full power strike of the middle-aged man. He thrusted his sword and it pierced the heart region of the middle-aged man.

"You", the middle-aged man could utter one word before falling to the ground. Zhan Chen continued his killing and before long almost all of the Gu family warriors fell to his sword.
