There was a solemn atmosphere in the Zhan family manor. Everyone capable was gathered in the main hall of the Supreme general palace.

"Yes madam, we have gathered almost everyone available but the Kai family does not respond", a middle-aged man replied respectfully.

"There is no need to think about them. We will think about those traitors later", the woman seated in the leading chair spoke coldly. There was a faint trace of anger in her beautiful face.

There were thirteen chairs arranged in the main hall of the Supreme general palace. Surprisingly everyone gathered here was at least a True essence realm expert. The person seated in the center most chair was the eldest aunt of Zhan Chen. His other aunts and his mother seated nearby her.

Several figures moved in the darkness like shadows. They were using the darkness of night as their cover. After moving for sometime, the massive Zhan family estate appeared Infront of their eyes.

"Halt", the leading person shouted in a low voice. All the moving figures stopped where they were after hearing him.

"Everyone knows how important today's battle is. Zhan family and my Gu family can't reconcile no matter what we do. So, we should take this opportunity and kill all of the Zhan family experts", the leading person spoke.

"Everyone will move after I give the signal. No need to show mercy to any of them", the leading person spoke again.

"We obey the order of patriarch", a united voice replied to his command.

"Good", the leading person nodded his head.

Time went past like the fleeting wind. The experts of the Gu family waited silently for the order of their patriarch.

Gu family patriarch had a calm appearance on his face. He was looking at the sky time to time. The moon was still glowing brilliantly but his focus was not on the glowing moon. A large mass of white cloud was moving on the sky and soon it found its way towards the moon.

"Now", Gu family patriarch yelled and rushed towards the estate of Zhan family. Other Gu family experts followed after him and their figures moved like shadows in the cover of the darkness.

Gu family patriarch rushed towards a patrolling guard of the Zhan family with a sword in his hand. He swung it ferociously towards the Gu family guard.

The Gu family guard noticed something but he didn't step back. Insted he took out a long horn from his chest pocket and blew it with all his might.

"Pei.....", a loud whistling sound came out and after a moment the sword of the Gu family patriarch landed on his body.

A blood stream gushed out and drenched the ground red. The Gu family patriarch didn't stop and targeted another soldier who was stepping back with all his might.

"Gu Hanshan, your opponent is me", a hoarse voice came out from the inner region of the Zhan family estate.

Flapping sounds of dresses came from a distance. Soon, the Zhan family experts reached the place where the sound of the beast horn came.

"Gu family experts, there is no point in hiding. If you dare, then come out and fight", a middle aged man from the side of Zhan family shouted.

"He.he..he, Li Hao, this is the only way to hell, yet you dare step on it. Let's see if anyone of the Zhan family can save you today".

A voice came and a lean yet tall looking man appeared Infront of everyone. He had a feminine look but his smile was a little insidious in others eyes.

"Fourth madam, please be careful when fighting with this Gu Xuan. He is of the same age as the third master and he was renowned as the most talented young man of that time. I have never thought that Gu family would call him back from the central region", Li Hao spoke to Li Qingzhao.

Li Qingzhao nodded her head as she looked cautiosly at the Gu family warriors.

"Attack", Gu family patriarch shouted. One after another figure came out from the shadow and charged towards the Zhan family experts.

Battle broke out within an instance. "Be careful, there are some other True essence realm experts who are still hiding in the dark", Li Qingzhao shouted. An axe came rushing towards her body. So, she didn't get any spare moments to look at others.

Waves after waves of Gu family warriors came out from the shadow and they started to engage the guards of the Zhan family. Thus, two types of battle started in the Zhan family estate. One was between True essence realm experts who were fewer in number. Another one was Between Gu family Meridian opening realm warriors and the Zhan family guards.

The number of the Meridian opening realm warriors were much higher compared to the number of the True essence realm experts. So, their battlefield was much more chaotic compared to the battle between True essence realm experts.
