Paragon of Death

Chapter 127

127 Chapter 126: You don’t stand a chance!

After a very long journey, Blink retired to his room without having dinner. So far since meeting the kid, Damon has been using his aura to nourish his body, preventing him from feeling hungry but he could only do this for so long.

Blood mountain was like a desolate place with literally nothing but blood. It was a total mess, Damon needed to fix it if he has plans of creating a county of his own which will be incredibly safe for everyone he cares about.

But how?

Regardless of the fact that he achieved greater strength, faster than his peers, Damon was still a youth with little to no experience in administration. He needed someone capable of running a country while he would remain in the background as its shield.

Outside that, he needed some cultivation manuals for spatial magic. As Blink was not a recognized host of the cosmic spirits, he only had the potential to learn the cosmic being’s power but how could he learn something he knows nothing about?

Without the cosmic spirit instructing him, there was only one way through which he could learn. And that’s by having an instructor well versed in the powers of spatial magic. That means he would have to rely on the Gyro Kingdom arch mage, Kratos but there was just one serious problem.

Why would Kaido be willing to train the disciple of the death mage?

The cosmic being already knew about Blink’s real identity so this was not something he could hide from the world. Damon could only think of one way out of this tricky situation.

“I guess I will have to kill the old man!” Damon muttered with a slight frown.

.....

He stood at the peak of the castle and allowed the wind to blow his hair and clothes causing them to flutter. His eyes were deep and profound as if they were searching for the secrets of the universe.

Damon didn’t really have any vendetta against the old arch mage. In fact, he liked the man to an extent. But regardless, the man’s origin and status already make him a target.

Back then he made the mistake of trusting these people and almost lost his life, but right now it wasn’t only his life that was at stake but that of his student as well. Right now Damon wouldn’t hesitate to end the lives of anyone if it means protecting this kid.

“I guess I will have to pay a quick visit to the Gyro Kingdom!” Damon said decisively as he looked down and saw people gathering. His eyes twitched with surprise, especially since he already gave Cassius three days to gather the humans here. He never thought it would be done in one night.

“You truly fancy your life! For a being who has lived for centuries, don’t you think you are a bit too selfish?” Damon asked as his eyes flashed.

From the darkness looming behind him, Cassius’s figure emerged. He was on one knee, not daring to look Damon in the face.

“It’s not nearly enough.... There is more I want to do!” Cassius said with a stern look on his face.

“Your honesty... I find it refreshing” Damon said casually.

It may have sounded like any casual statement but in reality, it meant a lot to Damon. Most people in Cassius’s position would lie and deceive while trying to get on Damon’s good side but this ancient vampire remained the same before and after his enslavement. Even when Damon asked him to gather the humans, even with his life in Damon’s hands, he still tried to refuse.

He was keeping it real and Damon appreciated having honest people around him.

With a flick of his finger, veins began bulging across Cassius’s face causing him to vomit a mouthful of blood but this time all he vomited was a darkish green liquid. As soon as he was done throwing up, he felt perfectly fine again.

“Attaching life to all your techniques and abilities while granting them the greatest destructive capabilities that can be applied to it... you are sincerely making optimum use of your pathways” Cassius said with a bitter smile.

But Damon didn’t respond to his words. Instead, he asked an unexpected question.

“What do you think about my plans? If I were to attack the gyro Kingdom now, would I emerge victorious?” Damon asked.

“You will die,” Cassius replied without hesitation. Even Damon couldn’t help but raise an eyebrow.

“You are yet to see the limit of my strength yet you are fast to make such a judgment?” Damon asked with a raised eyebrow. He didn’t seem enraged by the answer, instead, he looked more interested.

“Regardless of how strong you are, there is more to a kingdom. There is a reason Gyro has survived the test of time for centuries...Even if it was so weak that you can walk in there is Kaido of the sun god, Arch mage Kratos of the spatial god, Duke Hail of the night wolves, Pope Light of the holy church, and more. The chances of you defeating these experts in a one on one battle is low, talk less of taking them on alone. Especially Kaido, the sun god... You are not his opponent!” Cassius said with a stern look on his face.

Hearing this, Damon was slightly stunned. He has heard of these three-star alliance sect but he never knew how serious it was. If someone like Cassius held this person in high regard then he must be really worth the hype.

“Hmph! There is no life, Damon cannot take!” Damon snorted disdainfully!

He refused to believe there is someone within the spirit realm that he could not beat in a one on one deathmatch. But considering they outnumbered him by far, he couldn’t help but admit that Cassius was right. This was not a fight he could win alone. Right now he had quantity but he was lacking quality.

Even Cassius who stood by his side now was only there because he didn’t have a choice. He really couldn’t be considered an ally.
