197. Evolved Dojutsu

Once the girls managed to pull themselves out of bed, and the activities they had performed there, they decided to figure out what had changed in their combat potential. It is because of this that they found themselves in one of Konoha’s less used training grounds. 

“So, any idea what your eyes do now?” Asked Tomoka while pointing towards Hinata’s eyes. Out of the three of them Hinata’s dojutsu was the one to change the most. 

“Well, it’s like I have the byakugan permanently active now, though I can decide how large the area is with just a thought.” Tomoka nodded though she believed there would be much more than just that to it.

“So can you girls activate your eyes like before?” Hearing the question both Nozomi and Hinata felt dumb. They had just assumed that their eyes were permanently active now. They had never thought that perhaps this was just a passive effect and they needed to activate their eyes to get the full effect. 

Without a second thought Both activated their eyes. For Nozomi her four Tomoe sharingan turned into her Mangekyou sharingan. This one however, also changed slightly with the flower pattern gaining a new set of petals behind the first. Hinata’s byakugan on the other hand had the gold pattern grow richer in color giving it an illusory glow. 

““Wow”” Both said at the same time as they looked around themselves as if they were taking in their surroundings for the first time ever. Tomoka could do nothing but watch as they turned their heads this way and that looking at something only they could see. She even saw Hinata reaching for something until with a loud bang the ground below Hinata’s hand cracked. 

“What did you do?” Asked Nozomi as she looked between Hinata’s hand and the ground. She had seen what had happened in a way Tomoka couldn't. In her eyes a purple kind of energy suddenly intensified for a second before going back to normal. 

“I just touched the purple string.” Hinata’s answer made both Nozomi and Tomoka tilt their heads in confusion. 

“What string?” Before Hinata could try and respond to Nozomi’s question, Tomoka spoke. 

“Alright girls, deactivate your respective dojutsu and let's talk.” Tomoka could tell they would go nowhere if they kept their respective dojutsu active. The fact is, each seemed to have a different form of special vision that would be hard to explain for the other. Tomoka herself had the same problem when trying to explain her future-sight. 

A moment later the girls did as told and deactivated their dojutsu. Since Hinata was the one to cause the commotion it was decided that she would be the first to try and explain what she saw and did. 

“So, when I activated my Byakugan I saw a bunch of strings of different colors attached to everything around us. It was really weird. My hand would just go through the strings without affecting them while the ones attached to it would follow without being entangled with the others. Then I tried to use some chakra to touch one of the many purple strings that were the weirdest of the bunch. 

All the purple strings would come out of the ground and go up until I couldn’t see them any more. The same purrple strings were attached to me and pretty much anything I could see. When I touched it with my chakra I gave it a slight pull down and it suddenly became extra taut and the ground cracked.” 

Hearing Hinata’s explanation made Tomoka’s mind begin to churn with ideas. There was a simple way to confirm one of them. So she explain her experiment to the girl who just nodded and got ready. A moment later Hinata stood with her byakugan active as she tugged a purple string upwards. Then a small pebble began falling upwards.
