Online Game: Don’t Heal the Others

Chapter 134 - The Night before Leaving

“Did you pass the Mist of War? Then how come you’re dead and back?”

“I ran into a fierce BOSS, and got seckilled.” Xiaofeng ground his teeth because that was the first time that he had been killed.

“Which BOSS? Is it really that powerful?” Su Tingting was even more curious.

“A level-30 Faerie.”

“…”

Su Tingting went speechless because BOSS at that level was totally out of the league of one player or two. It was no surprise that Xiaofeng was killed and sent back.

“Let’s go submit the mission first.”

The two went back to Tianlong City. Su Tingting’s birth point was Tianlong City, too, but the city was so large that Xiaofeng hadn’t met her till recently.

They submitted the mission to Bishop Kaiser. The man was nice. Though Xiaofeng had suffered a bit loss because of him, the reward turned to be a pair of earrings which was exactly what Xiaofeng needed now.

God’s Blessing

Type: silver

Equipment level: 15

Equipment Type: earring

Equipment requirement: all professions

Attributions:

Luckiness +1

Savvy +1

Charisma +1

That was a pair of silver earrings, with nice quality. It added one point to all the three hidden attributes!

Bishop Kaiser looked more sullen after the mission was submitted. He even forgot to assign Xiaofeng the following task and left in a hurry.

Before Xiaofeng could walk out of the Temple of Light, he saw the Transmission Formation sparkling. Pontifices, paladins came and go, all in haste.

Xiaofeng could assume that something would happen soon. The Dark Legion had even built a city. Apparently, they were going to fight the Light Legion; however, by the time of the fight, those novices should’ve grown mature enough to have an impact on the game world.

The server had been started long enough, but all the players were still in the novice period. The demarcation point wasn’t the level 10; it was the level 15.

Most of the players didn’t even have a full set of equipment now, and most of their inventories were empty. Even Xiaofeng had empty columns, too, let alone the others.

The accessories were the rarest among all. And they often added special attributes or hidden attribute instead of basic attributes, like critical, speed, luckiness. The necklace would add Health Point, too.

Besides the accessories, most players didn’t even have proper armors. Usually, they would have seven armors which would be worn on their heads, upper bodies, waists, two hands, lower bodies, and feet. Less than half of the players in Huaxia District had more than five of them.

Take a warrior for example. The average Health Point for warriors was 170; the average attack, 80 or so.

Even a white equipment at level-15 would bring a 10-point promotion in strength or constitution, which was to say, one equipment would bring at least 10 more attacks or 20 more Health Points. That could make a huge difference.

It was a common scene that when players were fighting each other, one was being slaughtered by the other due to the disadvantage of the equipment. The gab could be huge due to missed or better equipment.

For example, Xiaofeng was almost unstoppable in the Novice Village, and he could seckill almost all those who stepped into his way. That was because Xiaofeng’s equipment was far ahead of them. He had achieved the server first kill and was almost invincible with the rare Wolf King outfit. Other people could barely break his defense but he could kill the others within a second.

But now an ordinary player with fine equipment could hurt him. Xiaofeng still had some advantage of his equipment, but that pretty much showed that other players’ equipment had gradually taken in shape.

That was the dominance of the equipment. A naked level-100 player could never beat a fully equipped level-50.

The reason while a line would be drawn in level 15 was that there were instance zones for them. Instance zone produced lots of equipments, and even white-quality equipment sold well.

Therefore, it was after level 15 when players were all fully equipped that they were really out of the novice stage, and could bring their impact to the game world.

The time wouldn’t be far, and the mainline story should be at the same time, too, if the system had been designed for the purpose.

Xiaofeng was heading to the amusement zone of Tianlong City. There were a few commercial streets, bars, tea houses and even dance performances there. The virtue world there was even more crowded than the real world.

Su Tingting and he made the appointment to meet in a bar of the elves. The bar was natural and light, totally elf-ish, and all the NPC waitresses inside were beautiful elves. The wine was fabulous. It was very welcomed in Tianlong city.

He found the private room which Su Tingting sat in. Before he entered, he heard someone talking inside, and Su Tingting making promises.

“Jingjing, I promise you’ll never regret this. He’s super powerful! The one I told you before. I met him today. He was awfully powerful. He was a priest, with the healing amount twice or even three times than other priests! He was even more impressive in fights. A priest fighting more fiercely than a mad warrior! I was looking down at him. It has never occurred to me that a powerhouse like him was hiding in the internet cafe outside the university town.”

Xiaofeng had some speculation about this before he arrived, but he still couldn’t help but shake his head when he stepped into the room.

The room wasn’t big. It was more like a treehouse. Su Tingting wasn’t wearing her mask at that time. She was sitting there so vigorously and couldn’t stop talking.

A thin figure, wrapped in nocturnal clothing, was sitting across from her. It was Night Cooer.

Or the campus queen of Xia University, Si Yejing.

“Here comes Master Xiao! I’ll introduce him to you, Jingjing… ”

Su Tingting was about to stand up when she saw Xiaofeng, but Night Cooer stopped her.

“Not necessary. We know each other.” Night Cooer was looking at Xiaofeng. She seemed upset and helpless.

She never thought the powerhouse Tingting kept bringing up was this guy.

“What? You know him?” Su Tingting now felt odd.

“How could I not? The famous Master Healer.”

Night Cooer was saying it with sarcasm and looked at Xiaofeng with dissatisfaction. She then turned to Su Tingting and said angrily, “I told you to focus more on news and forums, but you wouldn’t listen.”

“Now that you knew each other, this should be easier. Master Xiao, how about joining our guild? You’re so powerful that you may be appointed as the leader of the priest group. You’ll have all the beautiful priest players. You’ll be on fire!”

Su Tingting didn’t seem to care about it much, but instead, she was recruiting Xiaofeng. She pointed to her own head and there was the name of her guild on it, Midsummer.

It was the only guild established in Huaxia District, or even among all the server regions.

That was to say she had joined Midsummer. Su Tingting spoke fast and continued, “We’ve almost finished the Guild Encampment. We’ll be one of the most well-known guilds in Huaxia. You can’t be wrong choosing us.”

“Oh? Midsummer almost finished its encampment? Where is it?” Xiaofeng asked curiously.

“Why ask?” Night Cooer was cautious and she stared at Xiaofeng unfriendly. She never forgot that the two sides were in confrontation and she was afraid Xiaofeng would go mess with it.

What was worse, the guy was so powerful that nobody could stop him if he wanted to make a mess.

“Nothing, just asking.”

Xiaofeng shook his head. It was no big deal if he knew the location or not. The answer would finally show itself. The guild would be besieged by monsters once it was finished. Everyone would know a war on that scale then.

He didn’t want to mess up during the construction. He hoped that it could be finished at the soonest possible.

Everything would end up in vain if it failed to resist the attack of the monsters.

Now that the encampment was almost finished, then the monsters would come in one day or two.

“What do you want? Are you trying to make a mess of our Guild Encampment?”

Night Cooer stared at Xiaofeng. That was a woman’s intuition. She felt something dangerous when she was faced with Xiaofeng.

That was the tuition she gained from practicing martial arts.

“It has nothing to do with you.”

Xiaofeng shook his head and gave up talking. He didn’t want to have anything to do with her. In fact, he didn’t even want to go after Midsummer Rose. His one and only target had always been the Midsummer Group.

But now that Midsummer Rose was the leader of Midsummer Group, she had been tied to the hot potato and could never get away with it. The woman was so confident that she thought Xiaofeng could never be much of a threat on his own.

“You…”

Night Cooer was interrupted by a phone call before she was about to talk. She stared at Xiaofeng and picked up the phone. The one on the phone spoke quietly, but it seemed to be her cousin, Midsummer Rose.

“I got to go now. I’ll get to you later!”

Soon Night Cooer hung up the phone and walked back fast. She stared at Xiaofeng and pulled Su Tingting to walk out. It seemed that Midsummer Rose had run into some trouble and needed her to show up.

“Let’s go, Tingting. I don’t want to stay with this guy anymore. He’s no good guy.”

“Ah…? Don’t you know each other? How could you say that?”

“I know him, and I know how despicable he is! A shameless bastard! Remember last time I told you…”

Soon the two left the elf bar. Xiaofeng didn’t care about a word Night Cooer had said. It was almost night, so he logged out of the game there. He was thinking about he had bee leaving Xiao Ling alone these days, so he wanted to accompany her earlier.
