Chapter 2140 The Dashavatara (Krishna) -Part 8
The wounds were getting larger and it seemed like there was no end to the bleeding. Balarama felt something was very off so he decided to use his Celestial Magic to fix it.
The spell worked and most of the bleeding stopped but his regeneration was not acting as it intended to. More of those gunshots continued and this time, Avatar Balarama was a little more careful in his guarding. He parried most of the shots away with one that had managed to slip in because of the angle that it came from.
It was only at that point that the Celestial Warriors under Balarama's command decided to become the body shield for their lord and liege. They were killed instantly for those who had received a fatal wound. It seems like the worries of the other Avatars fighting at the other side of the battlefield were coming true for Balarama as well.
As he did not enter the battlefield early due to Matsya's command, the Celestial Warrior Farmer had only heard that quite a lot of the Celestial Armies had been suppressed by the humans. Yet, there were no little to no signs of Demonic energy within the wounds of their injured or dead comrades.
Matsya believed it might have something to do with the sudden disappearance of their Lord, the God of Preservation, Vishnu that they were suffering such losses even as the initial battle had started to drag on. It was the same for the Sea Fortress as well and they could no longer rely solely on their unique Celestial magic to do things omnipotently any longer.
Hence, even though both Kurma and Balarama did not say a single word to each other, the suspicion with regard to this particular group of humans is extremely high. They could possibly be the threat the Celestials had to worry about and maybe even extinguish before they could grow any longer.
Krishna saw what was happening and wanted to move away from this world and at least report it to his friends and colleagues in the event that even the infamous ten Celestial Avatars of Vishnu were defeated in the process.
However, something weird happened as he activated his interdimensional teleportation skill. The spell did not work at all. It did activate but passed the activation sequence of the spell, the creation of the portal flickered and it immediately stopped working. Enjoy new adventures from empire
Of course, Krishna initially thought that he might have panicked a little, thinking what kind of news or evidence he needed to bring back to the Celestial plane. So, he decided to try again but it failed once more. This time, he attempted to cast it with the proper normal chanting and it did not work again.
That was when he realised that there was a high chance that the enemy had blocked interdimensional travel out.
It was a ridiculous notion considering they were mere humans and considering their technological or magical advancement which the Ten Avatars had studied prior to invading, this was merely a world that would die under the hands of the demons in a matter of years.
In fact, it was slated to be destroyed by the demons in a period ranging from three to five years depending on the final tenacity of these humans.
Yet, what was happening was that there was someone with the ability to stop the mighty Celestials from portalling back to their own plane. Of course, it would seem like this could be an easy fix for high ranking Celestials like the Avatars of Vishnu but if even Krishna, their highest skilled trickster was unable to teleport back, there might be a force that was greater than them in the works.
And that was none other than the System.
Even though the System was a by product based on the whims of the Celestial Plane centuries ago, it was still considered to be a Celestial in its own right. Undoubtedly, it would not be able to block high ranking Celestials from going back to the plane, and even if it did, there was no way it was capable of creating such a spell and even maintaining it.
That means the System was actually piggybacking from someone higher and stronger than the 10 Avatars themselves. Lord Vishnu. As much as it pained itself to admit it, the sub system module that the main System had given Jin did its job splendidly.
Ironically also given to Jin on a whim, to assist in his trial to regain demonic energy for Baal as well as giving him a taste of the Celestials, it had managed to capture the essential of the Dungeon Supplier in another form that was unique from the main System. In short, if the main System ever goes down, Jin would be able to rely on this secondary system as a backup.
But what was most captivating for the Main System was the Secondary System capturing the Celestial God of Preservation, something which the System did not know it was capable of until it happened.
Therefore, by encapsulating Lord Vishnu into a secured dimensional instance within an instance, the System started to use the obedient Lord Vishnu's powers and capabilities to augment its processing powers, hence creating the interdimensional fence which the Avatars were capable of coming in but not able to go out.
After all, the fence needed to know and identify their target before working its magic on it so that the Celestials that came in, could not go out.n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om
So with their exit being restricted, Krishna had decided to leave the current battlefield and inform the First Avatar of Vishnu in the hopes that he might provide some advice. That rarely happened within the Avatars' interaction, and Matsya knew that this was serious.
"So in order to get out of this battlefield, we have to find this unknown sage or else we will not be able to get out of this?" Matsya who was watching the battlefield unfold on the other end of Ress had decided to open a portal and to no avail as well.
"We do. And fast. There is a limit to our Celestial energies as well as the armies that we are supporting." Krishna said bleakly as this was the first time the Avatars encountered such a foe ever since their fights with Demons.
