Chapter 3: Growth

Shillong returned to the cave without anything out of the usual happening.

Every day after that, Shillong’s lifestyle consisted of eating, sleeping, eating, sleeping…

He lived just like a lazy pig. After sleeping for almost 18 hours every day, he will enjoy the carefully prepared meal made by his mother after waking up.

The only difference between him and a pig is one simple function.

Shillong discovered that his body seemed to have no excretion function.

This is strange, anyway, his three siblings do have this function.

Every day, a silver-gray, cool turd could be seen on the ground of this luxurious and beautiful decorated cave.

Every time these turds appear in the cave, the silver dragon mother will emit a faint silver glow from her hands, driving the turd into the air, then outside of the cave.

This scene is very magical. Shillong can finally confirm with certainty that this is a western fantasy-type world.

This is good, at least this indicates that the power ceiling of this world won’t be too low, giving him more possibilities.

Still in that gorgeously decorated cave.

The four little dragons have changed a lot.

They have grown up a lot, the two little wyverns are now two circles bigger than before.

Arman is one circle bigger than the small wyrms.

Of course, Shillong is the one that changed the most.

His body size has at least doubled.

Compared with the rest of his brothers, he looks like an adult next to a single 12 years old child, and two 8-9 years old children.

This greatly surprised the silver dragon mother.

Shillong turned around and said to his little brother.

”The surrounding area is full of mother’s aura. Moreover, I will just stay at the entrance of the cave, there won’t be anything dangerous! And! How many times have I told you! Call me big brother!”

”Shillong, you bastard! Don’t think that since you are the biggest, I will call you big brother! I will never admit it!”

”You stupid kid, Even if we don’t count that, I’m the first one that broke through the egg, so I’m the big brother!”

”You can’t lie to me! Since mom didn’t say that you are the big brother, then you are not my big brother!”

”According to the custom of the dragon clan, the bigger and stronger one is the big brother!”

”But you are different from me! You are black and I am silver, so you are not my big brother!”

”Tch! I don’t want to talk to you anymore, I’m going out to sunbathe.”

Shillong said angrily, then, ignoring Arman, he walked straight out of the big gate.

Seeing this, Arman angrily stomped the ground with his forelimbs.

”Since mom said to take care of each other, I can’t let you go out alone!”

After saying this, he followed behind him.

However, after taking a few steps, he stopped.

Because the two small wyverns are following behind him.

“Roar!”

Arman immediately turned around and roared, scaring the two small wyverns to escape.

”Hmph! Two stupid guys!”

Arman murmured, then quickly followed Shillong.

The two small dragons, one behind the other, quickly walked to the entrance of the cave. Shillong walked straight out of the cave, to an area where the sun could shine on him.

Shillong couldn’t help groaning.

”Ohhh~so comfortable~”

He has the feeling of finally resting after three consecutive days of working.

”It’s so cool!”

The warm and comfortable sunlight caused Shillong to feel very happy and fuzzy.

The sunshine even caused him to feel lazy, his previous thoughts of exploring the situation around or looking for something interesting have completely disappeared.

Without taking anything into consideration, he lazily laid on the ground. He suddenly turned around, exposing his belly, and letting the sunshine on his face.

His golden pupils directly looked at the sun. He didn’t feel any discomfort, in fact, he felt very comfortable.

”Shillong! You really are a weird guy. You don’t like shiny treasures, but like to bask in the sun. Look at your ugly black scales~ They can’t reflect light! Then look at my scales! They are silver! So shiny, so beautiful!”

Arman taunted Shillong, then started admiring his own silver scales, looking very obsessed.

Shillong ignored Arman and continued basking in the sun.

After lying there for a while, the silver dragon mother, Viola Soderberg, finally arrived with today’s food.

She slowly landed on the ground, looking at her two children with a displeased look on her face.

”Shillong! Arman! Didn’t I say that you can’t get out of the cave? Why did you go outside? It’s dangerous! What if something attacked you while I was away!”

”Mom! It’s the fault of Shillong, he was the one that wanted to go outside. Since I couldn’t persuade him, I could only follow and supervise him.” 

Hearing his mother’s reprimanding, the newborn Silver Dragon Arman said anxiously.

He doesn’t want to be criticized by his mother.

”Good job~ My little Arman is so sensible!”

Viola exclaimed, then gently rubbed the head of her small child.

Arman squinted happily.

”Shillong! What’s the matter with you? Why did you leave the cave?”

Viola turned around and asked Shillong, who was still lazily laying on the ground.

”Because it’s too boring Mom! It’s so boring to stay in a never-changing cave every day, eating and sleeping with nothing else to do!”

Shillong replied lazily.

He is now no longer as vigilant as before.

After a month of getting along, he already has a certain understanding of his mother.

She is a very kind female dragon.

”Huh? How did you learn to feel bored at such a young age? There are so many shiny treasures inside, including silver and gold, why do you still feel bored?”

Viola looked puzzled.

She recalled her childhood, sleeping and rolling on her mother’s treasure pile. How happy has she felt?

That was simply one of her happiest memories!

Why does Shillong still feel bored?

”Those treasures aren’t mine.”

Shillong said casually.

It’s the nature of the dragon race to like treasures, a natural instinct.

”It’s too early for that! I like to bask in the sun, don’t you feel comfortable under the sunrays, mom?”

Viola replied after thinking for a moment, then turned to Arman next to her and asked

”Little Arman, do you like to bask in the sun?”

”I don’t like it! Compared to sunbathing, I prefer to sleep on my mother’s treasures!”
