Nine Star Hegemon Body Arts

Chapter 5571: Mad Plundering

A man holding a rusty spear raised his head and laughed maniacally. “Hahaha, this treasure is mine!”

BANG!

Amidst his laughter, a brick struck the back of his head with a deafening thud. His eyes rolled up, and he collapsed in a heap.

“What do you mean yours? It is mine!” exclaimed a sneering voice from the shadows.

A hand emerged from the void, snatching the spear and vanishing before anyone could react. Moments later, countless attacks rained down on the spot, but their target had already disappeared without a trace.

Within a dimly lit cave, a man stared at an ancient jar before him, his expression ecstatic. “Excellent! This is the blessing of my ancestors! Our lost—”

“This blessing is mine!”

BANG!

A brick slammed into the back of his head. The man shouted in pain, staggering, but to Long Chen’s surprise, he didn’t collapse. Three heaven vein dragon qi swirled around him, partially blocking the Heaven Flipping Seal’s power.

“You dare attack me?!” the man roared, his clawed hand striking behind him. But his grasp met only empty air—the jar was gone.

The man’s furious roar echoed through the cave as Long Chen moved on, his figure already vanishing into the distance.

“Hahaha—!”

“Shut it, your laughter grates on my ears.”

BANG!

“This treasure—”

“Is mine!”

BANG!

“Heavens, I’ve struck gold!”

“It’s my gold, not yours!”

BANG!

...

With a treasure compass guiding him and the Heretic Blood Heaven Flipping Seal in hand, Long Chen became an emissary of the darkness—the plunderer of all treasures.

Now, Long Chen became more adept at using the compass. The compass’s sensitivity to treasures increased exponentially when infused with his violet blood, allowing him to locate hidden items even buried deep underground. ℟

Meanwhile, the Heaven Flipping Seal granted him unparalleled stealth, concealing him in its unique space. However, its offensive power was limited in this state, making it best suited for surprise attacks—smacking people in the back of their heads.

Long Chen quickly mastered the art of thievery, snatching treasures with seamless precision. His targets rarely saw him coming, and by the time they realized what had happened, he was long gone.

Despite his success, Long Chen felt the growing pressure of his surroundings. Many of the heavenly geniuses he encountered had already condensed a heaven vein dragon qi, with some reaching three veins.

Long Chen himself hadn’t condensed a single heaven vein. If they were to actually fight, he would be at an immense disadvantage. In fact, Long Chen started to panic a bit.

Long Chen wanted to condense heaven veins as well. Still, the Earth Cauldron had explained that due to his cultivation of the Nine Star Hegemon Body Art, the conventional method would take him months to condense just one heaven vein, with each subsequent vein becoming even harder. To progress, he needed an alternative path.

The Earth Cauldron told him that the Heaven Vein Mystic Realm was filled with countless opportunities, and these treasures were merely the easiest to obtain.

These treasures were searching for the right people, and they would hide themselves if they could not sense someone with the right destiny. They would rather wait for the next opening of the Heaven Vein Mystic Realm.

The stronger legacies, such as the Dragon Sovereign’s reverse scale, the fragment of the divine sword, or the Jiuli Divine Stele, would not appear now. They would require not just luck but immense power to claim.

Thus, the Dragon Sovereign was in no rush to lead Long Chen there. Even if Long Chen reached the right location earlier, it would be meaningless. These treasures needed time to manifest, and claiming them would require both timing and strength.

The Earth Cauldron had advised Long Chen to focus on seizing as many treasures as possible and collecting more corpses, as he had gained the Heavenly Star Daffodil.

Trusting the Earth Cauldron’s guidance, Long Chen remained composed. Acquiring these treasures not only bolstered the power of the Earth Cauldron, Evilmoon, the Demon Moon Cauldron, and the Heaven Flipping Seal but also prepared him for the challenges ahead.

Knowing that these treasures would soon begin concealing themselves, Long Chen wasted no time and tirelessly scoured the realm for opportunities. As Long Chen crazily snatched these treasures from various experts, his infamy gradually drew the wrath of countless experts.

Yet, none could identify him. Those who were robbed dared not speak out, fearing ridicule for their humiliation. They could only clench their teeth and feel outraged inside.

Many treasures were in possession of powerful existences, so Long Chen often executed swift ambushes, snatching treasures and claiming corpses in one decisive move. As Long Chen’s mastery of the Heretic Blood Heaven Flipping Seal grew, he could act with smooth precision. His targets didn’t even know what had happened until it was too late.

A month of ceaseless plundering passed in the blink of an eye. During this time, Long Chen acquired over a thousand divine weapons, with all but the golden sword consumed by Evilmoon and his other companions.

Long Chen also collected 573 corpses, the majority being rank-two Divine Emperors or so. This bounty brought dramatic changes to the primal chaos space. The eggs encasing the Golden Crows thinned, glowing with divine radiance. They gradually became translucent, revealing the nascent Golden Crows within.

The Moon Trees, due to not having to nourish anything like the Golden Crows, surpassed the Fusang Trees in size. Their Moon Flames roared like rivers of wild fire, radiating immense energy.

Meanwhile, the mysterious vine had grown over ten meters long, as thick as a human arm. Covered in black, scale-like spots, it exuded a fearsome aura of destruction.

What thrilled Long Chen most, however, was the Heavenly Star Daffodil. It had borne fruit—a translucent, foot-long marvel with specks of astral light swirling within. The fruit seemed to encapsulate an entire cosmos.

The Earth Cauldron said that when the fruit was fully transparent, it would be ready to use.

...

BANG!

The Heaven Flipping Seal struck another target, but this time, it rebounded with a shocking force. Long Chen’s arm went numb as he nearly lost his grip on the weapon.

“Shit!” Long Chen cursed under his breath. He had finally encountered a tough opponent.

Seated atop an ancient altar, this figure gripped a black sword embedded deep into the heart of the platform. It appeared as though he was in the midst of conducting a complex and mysterious ceremony.

Long Chen guessed that the black sword was the true treasure here. Unwilling to waste time, he launched a decisive attack, intending to claim the sword and leave without delay.

However, to his shock, the figure’s seemingly unremarkable cloak turned out to be an immensely powerful divine weapon, one so well-concealed that even Long Chen’s compass had failed to detect it.n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om

Long Chen had previously discovered the compass’s limitations—it couldn’t sense the Earth Cauldron or Evilmoon. Initially, it had been able to detect the Heaven Flipping Seal and the Demon Moon Cauldron, but as those treasures absorbed more energy and grew stronger, they also slipped beyond the compass’s range.

In other words, the compass’s sensing ability was limited. When faced with a treasure far superior to itself, it was rendered useless.

“Die!”

The figure reacted with a ferocious snarl, spinning to face Long Chen. As his hood fell back, his face was finally revealed.

The sight sent a chill down Long Chen’s spine.
