Chapter 1: Destipoints
Chapter 1: Destipoints
A soul was currently floating in front of an enormous planet. This specific lone soul in space had received the choice to reincarnate, which it quickly agreed to.
Now in front this soul, it saw the world it would later probably head to, a divers world 1 000 000 times larger than the planet where the soul originally came from. However that wasn't what the soul was looking confused at, in it's vision it had a screen and on that screen displayed a large number, to be specific 3 996 554 827, almost 4 billion, and this number represented the amount of destipoints she had.
[Destipoints: Points, a soul receives during their life, that showed the amount of times they, without impure intentions, changed the destiny of another soul during its time alive for the better. Can be used in the reincarnation cycle.] In simple, the amount of times a living being helped another living being that made a permanent impact is what the screen explained.
This was also why this soul was confused. This soul wasn't a pure person during their life, while it was alive the soul went by the identity of the Worlds Most Powerful Female Criminal Overlord.
Although she was born poor and as an orphan she worked hard and turned into a brilliant person. During her youth she made several scientific breakthroughs while being the top student of the most prestigious school in Japan. With her brilliant ideas and advice she sold for money and talent she had in every field she received a great reputation, despite always being distant from everyone.
To some this sounds like the perfect life but to her it was boring and repetitive. So one day she chose to travel to Africa and sightsee the nature. It was then that she started a criminal organization for amusement. She manufactured drugs, sold illegal pelts and started mercenary groups for hire. This still was all still for her amusement so she made sure drugs were sold to people it wouldn't harm much, pelts she obtained from endangered animals which she helped repopulate and the mercenary group she only hired out to other groups going against other criminal organizations. She also stopped human trafficking, innocent killings and took the liberty of feeding the people in her territory, which continued to expand steadily.
Soon she monopolized control over 50% of the criminal organizations in Africa. It was at this point that her own organization didn't entertain her anymore, so she gave over control to her most faithful subordinate while she remained the figurehead of the organization. It was then that she had found an interest in her national specialty she had ignored as a child, manga's, anime and novels. She became a shut in, enjoying the fantasy worlds she read about, going from one novel to the next going through her days.
Unbeknown to her, her organization had spread into the territory of an aggressive corrupted country. When her influence started leaking through their borders, they reacted with a missile sent straight to the center of her organization. Her organization had several bunkers built in case of this situation and while the alarms sounded warning the organization members and citizens to evacuate into the bunkers.
This all went smoothly except of the fact that she herself was so indulged into her novel she didn't even hear the blaring sirens. The missile landed and she died from the shockwave in an anticlimactic way no one expected. Not her, nor her subordinates, nor the rival organization. The only regret she had was that she died alone, never having received or given any real affection.
That brings us back to the present, her soul staring at the screen. She knew from her extensive knowledge in the reincarnation department that this screen was a system so she tried touching it, only to remember she was here as a soul, without a body. She then decided to imagine interacting with it, her system reacted and showed her 5 rectangles lined up from up to down. Each of these rectangles had something different written in them, starting from the top they read:
[Character Creation]
[Skill Shop]
[Status Shop]
[Origin Point]
[Mentality]
Just going in order shown she pressed on [Character Creation] first.
What popped up made her smile.
