Chapter 1252 I Can Revive Her (Part 1)
As Evan looked ahead, a streak of green light tore through the air, moving rapidly toward his location. Within seconds, the streak stopped a few meters away from him, transforming into Sylvan's familiar figure.
Evan raised an eyebrow in mild surprise when he saw Sylvan. With his powers, Sylvan could effortlessly monitor anyone entering the Closed World of Drayds without needing to investigate in person. So he was curious as to why he came here in person.
Although Evan found it curious, he chose not to dwell on it and walked toward him.
"Seems like you are doing well, old man," Evan remarked, sensing that Sylvan's aura had grown noticeably stronger since their last meeting.
Sylvan, who had recently recovered from his severe injuries, now radiated the stable and commanding presence of a Rank Six Core Evolver. His core was no longer in the fragile state it had been when Evan had left and he was close to the mid level Rank Six.
"Speak for yourself," Sylvan shot back, his voice carrying a tone of amazement. "How long has it been since you left? In such a short period of time, you have already become a mid-level Rank Three Core Evolver."
Sylvan's expression betrayed his disbelief. When Evan had departed, he had been at the peak of Rank Two, yet he was still far from advancing to Rank Three due to his limited understanding of void energy.
Now, in what felt like no time at all, Evan had not only achieved Rank Three but had already reached its mid-level stages.
Even for someone as experienced and ancient as Sylvan, who had lived for thousands of years, this kind of growth was almost unheard of. It was this anomaly that had driven Sylvan to verify Evan's identity in person.
When Evan had intervened in Blaze's matter, he had been near the teleportation formation used to access the Closed World of Drayds.
Through the surveillance formations around the area, Sylvan had seen Evan helping Blaze. He had also watched as Evan decimated Rank Three vampires using only his spiritual power.
Initially, Sylvan had assumed that this couldn't possibly be Evan. He suspected it was an imposter impersonating him.
However, when he noticed Evan's signature shadow undeads guarding Velgoth and the mysterious ice cocoon, he had no choice but to accept the truth.
Even so, Sylvan found it hard to believe that Evan had grown so significantly in such a short span of time. This lingering doubt compelled him to meet Evan face-to-face when he entered the closed world of Drayds.
Evan smiled slightly at Sylvan's astonished expression, finding his reaction amusing. To him, however, his rapid progress felt less extraordinary and more like an inevitable result of his circumstances.
'If I couldn't even reach mid-level Rank Three after going through so many insane experiences, I would have truly wasted my life,' He thought, a hint of dry humour in his inner voice.
Breaking the momentary silence, Evan pointed at Velgoth, who stood rigidly, clearly overwhelmed by the oppressive aura of Sylvan's Rank Six presence.
"I brought a guest," Evan said, his tone smug as he gestured toward Velgoth.
Sylvan shifted his gaze to Velgoth. Although he couldn't accurately gauge Velgoth's power as his strength was sealed by the Primordial Rune of Sealing—the lingering traces of Eldritch Energy emanating from him were unmistakable.
"An Eldritch creature..." Sylvan muttered, his eyebrows arching in intrigue. "Where did you find him?"
"That's a long story," Evan replied with a dismissive wave. Stepping closer to Velgoth, he added, "I brought him because he will be immensely useful to us."
As he spoke, intricate patterns began to form across Evan's body. These patterns, glowing faintly, exuded an ancient, almost primal aura that seemed capable of sealing the world itself.
Activating the Primordial Rune of Sealing, Evan unsealed Velgoth's powers.
Sylvan's eyes widened as he sensed the ancient power radiating from Evan. However, his astonishment quickly turned to outright shock as Velgoth's aura, initially weak and almost imperceptible, surged like a breaking dam.
Within moments, Velgoth's power stabilized at the beginner level of Rank Five.
"What the fu—" Sylvan began, only to catch himself as his gaze darted back to Evan, silently demanding an explanation.
Evan, unfazed by Sylvan's reaction, flashed a dazzling smile before turning back to Velgoth.
"Bring them out," He commanded.
Velgoth nodded, and in the next instant, silver light swirled around them. Figures began to materialize one after another as Nythor and countless other powerful Eldritch creatures emerged from Velgoth's chaotic world.
In mere seconds, nearly one hundred thousand Eldritch creatures stood gathered around Velgoth.
Sylvan's jaw slackened as he took in the overwhelming sight. For several moments, words failed him.
Finally, after a prolonged silence, Sylvan let out a deep breath and rubbed his temples.
"Tell me, what are you planning? No—wait. Before that, where in the world did you even find all of these Eldritch creatures?"
"Actually, this is just a small fraction of them," Evan replied casually. "There are tens of millions more."
"What?!" Sylvan's voice rose sharply, a mixture of disbelief and exasperation colouring his tone. He stared at Evan as though the younger man had completely lost his mind. n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om
"Why in the world would you bring so many Eldritch creatures here?"
"I will explain everything later," Evan said, shaking his head. "They are similar to Searoth and the other Lava Demons we brought here before. They will be invaluable to us in the future."
With that, Evan gestured for Velgoth to recall the Eldritch creatures.
Velgoth, understanding the command, summoned Nythor and the others back into his chaotic world. As he did so, Velgoth glanced around curiously.
Now that his seal was lifted, Velgoth could sense the differences in this world more clearly.
While the density of World Essence in the Closed World of Drayds was slightly lower than that of Azragoth World, he could now perceive all the world's concepts without any hindrance.
Meanwhile, Evan ignored Velgoth and turned back to Sylvan.
"Where are Anastasia, Ashley, and the others?"
"I'm not sure about Anastasia," Sylvan replied after a moment's thought. "She left a few days ago, saying she had something important to take care of. As for Ashley..." Sylvan paused briefly, reluctant to admit he had sent her to scavenge scraps on a battlefield. Instead, he said.
"She went out to maintain some teleportation formations. She should return soon."
"I see," Evan murmured, nodding. A thoughtful expression crossed his face as he pieced together Anastasia's possible whereabouts.
'I asked her to investigate what lies beneath the central island of the Dragon Islands... She must have gone there,' He concluded.
"Let's wait for them to return so we can discuss—" Evan began, but Sylvan abruptly turned his gaze to the distance and smiled faintly.
"It seems we won't have to wait long," Sylvan said. "They are already back."
