Chapter 197: Negotiation
Chapter 197: Negotiation
Long Yu and others walked to Yuan Rihui's stall, and then he asked, "Brother Yuan, how do you recognize us?"
Yuan Rihui smiled and answered, "Not many people can wear that kind of clothes nowadays. Among the people I know, only Brother Long can afford it."
While they were talking, Yao Ran was browsing his stall. Seeing that he only had a few packs of compressed biscuits, Yao Ran asked, "Are you running out of business?"
When Yuan Rihui heard this, he grimaced and said, "Miss Yao, isn't it because you guys didn't come to find me? I haven't made much profit, and my cousin keeps giving me a stinky face these days."
Yao Ran chuckled when she heard this. "Aren't we coming now?"
Yuan Rihui's eyes lit up when he heard what she said, and he lowered his voice, "What do you need? I can find almost anything for you, and the price is negotiable."
Yao Ran also lowered her voice and said, "I want to buy planting pots, soil, and fertilizer. Do you have them?"
Hearing what she wanted to buy, Yuan Rihui raised his eyebrows curiously and asked, "Miss Yao, do you know something I don't know?"
Yao Ran didn't answer his question but asked back, "Do you have them or not?"
Seeing that he couldn't get any information from her, Yuan Rihui patted his chest and proudly said, "Who am I? I'm the best seller in this city. There's nothing I can't get for you."
Looking at his confident expression, Yao Ran said, "I want 50 planting pots, 50 bags of soil, and 10 bags of fertilizer. Can you get them for me?"
Yuan Rihui thought for a moment and nodded, "I can find them today. But what will you use as payment?"
Yao Ran looked around for a few seconds, approached Yuan Rihui, and spoke in a voice only the two of them could hear, "Do you want small umbrellas?"
When Yuan Rihui heard this, he looked at Yao Ran as if she was joking. But seeing her sneaky behavior, he seemed to understand something, and his eyes lit up.
He suppressed his excitement and asked in a low voice, "How much do you have? Are they new or second-hand?"
Hearing his question, Yao Ran couldn't help but look at Yuan Rihui in a new light. Who would want to use a second-hand small umbrella? Aren't they afraid of getting sick?
Being stared at like that, Yuan Rihui scratched his head awkwardly and said, "Miss Yao, not everyone has the means to get new ones. Actually, the market for second-hand goods is bigger than for new ones. Only people from wealthy or influential families can afford the new ones."
When Yao Ran heard this, she was doubtful but still said, "I only have new ones. Do you want them?"
Yuan Rihui nodded like a chicken pecking at rice and replied, "Of course. How many do you have? Do you have large or extra-large sizes?"
Yao Ran glanced at her boyfriend for a second and then said, "Small and medium sizes. Do you want them?"
Yuan Rihui was a little disappointed, but most of his clients had small little brothers, so he still nodded and asked, "Yes. How many do you have?"
"How much do you want for the planting pots, soil, and fertilizer?" Yao Ran asked in return.
In the current extreme cold weather, no plants could survive, so there was no market for these items. Even if he gave them away for free, nobody would want them. However, when he looked at Yao Ran and her friends, Yuan Rihui felt these things would soon be in demand. After thinking for a moment, he raised two fingers and said, "Two boxes."
As soon as he said this, Yao Ran stood up, held Long Yu's hand, and said, "Let's go check out the other stalls."
Seeing that she didn't say anything and wanted to leave, Yuan Rihui became anxious and hurriedly called out, "Miss Yao, please wait a moment. We can negotiate the price."
Yao Ran glanced back at him and said, "You directly asked for two boxes. Do you think I don't know the price for that item?"
Yuan Rihui smiled awkwardly at her and fawningly said, "You misunderstood me, Miss Yao. How about you name your price?"
This time, Yao Ran raised two fingers and said, "Two pieces."
Yuan Rihui was speechless when he heard this. "....."n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om
After a few seconds of silence, he smiled stiffly and said, "Miss Yao, you must be joking."
Yao Ran rolled her eyes at him and snorted, "You were the one joking with me first."
Knowing he couldn't get any advantage over her, Yuan Rihui sighed and said, "Let's discuss it calmly."
Yao Ran stared at him for a few seconds before walking back to his stall and asking, "How much do you want?"
This time, Yuan Rihui considered the value of the small umbrellas seriously and calculated how much he could profit from this deal.
After thinking it over, he said, "Twenty pieces for the things you want."
Hearing this, Yao Ran turned around and walked away. Just as she took a step, Yuan Rihui hurriedly said, "Miss Yao, please just help me out this time."
Yao Ran paused, turned to look at him, and said, "Fifteen. Seven medium-sized and eight small-sized."
Seeing that Yao Ran had finally given a reasonable offer, he smiled and said, "Deal."
"When can I get the goods?" Yao Ran asked.
Yuan Rihui packed up his stall and replied, "Please wait here for me. I will go and find the goods right away."
"Alright."
After they struck a deal, Yuan Rihui hurried away to gather the items they wanted.
Standing on the roadside, Long Yu glanced at his girlfriend. Seeing that she was watching the bustling scene in front of them, he lowered his head and whispered, "Ran Ran, did you save the big size for me?"
When Yao Ran heard what he said, she was confused for a moment before realizing what he was talking about. She blushed and said in a low voice, "You are overthinking."
