Chapter 15: I Already Have A Boyfriend
Chapter 15: I Already Have A Boyfriend
Chance smiled when he heard her reply, "Let me guess what happened. You decided to not show up but then you saw the news but you got so worried about me that you didn't check the time of attack and came over for me."
He was on point and Samantha was surprised how he was able to get so perfectly but she lied to him, "Nonsense. I planned to come for dinner but I got late as I lost time and the cops told me that there was an attack so I just came to the back side to check the situation."
"Oh, really?"
"Yes"
"I am glad you decided to have dinner with me." He smiled at her and Samantha was already prepared as she knew the trap, she was falling into but yet she went along with this lie as it was better than him knowing how worried she was for him that she came over to a dangerous place even after deciding not to show up.
Chance kept smiling as if he knew she was lying but he didn't say anything further.
"Yeah, I had to as I wanted to clear a few things."
"Oh, what are those few things?" Chance raised his eyebrows and looked at her side-profile as she was seriously driving.
"I already have a boyfriend"
Samantha expected Chance to be shocked but there was not one sound from him so she turned her head to look at him and he was smiling at her.
She again turned back and focused on driving.
"Why are you smiling?" She looked pissed with his behavior.
"If you have a boyfriend, why were you holidaying in Hawaii alone?"
"We two just decided to have some fun alone to realize each other's value."
Chance laughed loudly at her explanation.
"What is so funny?"
"Oh god Samantha, you have never been a relationship, right?"
"What nonsense, of course I have been in many relationships." She again lied and she didn't like the fact that he was able to see through her lies.
"You absolutely look inexperienced and the excuses you are giving are so silly that no one would believe you."
"I am telling you the truth" Samantha was not the one to budge.
"Fine, can I meet him?" Chance suddenly asked her and she expected something like this would come up so she was prepared.
"He is not in town"
Chance started laughing.
"I am not lying" Samantha didn't like what was happening.
"Samantha you are the worst liar in this world."
She got upset when she heard his words.
"Can you stop there?" He asked pointing at a restaurant.
"Why?"
"I am very hungry"
"Oh"
Samantha parked her vehicle outside the restaurant.
"Would you like to join me?" Chance asked her.
"Well"
"Or you are scared and controlled by your boyfriend, so you won't come?"
He tried to provoke her.
"Earlier you didn't believe I had a boyfriend, now you do?" She questioned him instead.
"I still don't believe it but if that is what you want me to believe, I will" He casually said and smiled at her.
Something really stuck her when she heard his words and she froze at her place, she couldn't understand her feeling but it was very weird.
"Samantha?" Chance called her.
"Let's have dinner" Saying this she got out the car, he too smiled and followed her in and they settled at a table which was on the corner of the hotel, there was privacy and from there they could see the big television which was hung on the wall opposite to them.
