Chapter 243: Princess Fei
The parents could only sigh. She was Han Li's daughter, indeed.
Stubborn as a brick.
Han Li and Ruo secretly followed her with smirks and watched all her battles from the sidelines.
Sometimes, she would be at the brink of death, and Ruo would be losing her shit in anger, but then, the seal over her Transformations would miraculously loosen, and she would be able to use the full power of her transformations.
She'd easily come out victorious.
Little Tyrant saved many villages from monsters and killed many evil beings. She came to be known as the Little Hero.
She beat the one who named it half to death and changed it into Big Heroine.
Ruo had a blast.
Fei Fei then walked through cities alone and met many young masters who coveted her beauty, many who wanted her for themselves. These were the times when Han Li nearly lost his calm.
Ruo was chuckling all throughout.
Fei Fei met thousands upon thousands of marriage confessions and powered through it all. She was too disdainful, too cold.
Noble clans chased her at times, but she outsmarted them and ran away after looting their houses. In all of the places she stole from, she left a messy drawing of a monkey's ass.
Ruo was speechless, and Han Li was covering his forehead.
"I didn't raise this graceless girl," he said.
"I did!" Ruo laughed.
But now, Fei Fei was actually making strong enemies, and if she didn't grow stronger, she'd be in trouble. Han Li smiled and carried Ruo behind him to follow the thief who had just run away from a noble house's backyard with a sack full of treasures.
In one place, in particular, Han Fei met an old man, and the old man said he was an old friend of her Dad.
She was delighted to hear some boastful stories of her dad and was full of awe. The old man gifted her a functional Spark when he faded away.
He had been a ghost all along who had remained in the world to fulfill the regret of boasting about Han Li. Apparently.
Han Fei felt slightly weird but pushed it out of her mind after enough time.
Now she had the Lust Spark. She could cultivate and evolve.
Using the Spark, she Evolved at the age of 21 and defeated her greatest enemy so far, an annoying and hateful Noble Clan.
Hmph.
Pathetic scum.
Her bloody name, the Cruel Princess, echoed all over the cities.
To her friends, she was an angel. To her enemies, she was the devil incarnate.
Now, she was finally not a shameful child. She could finally go back home. But before that, she wanted to achieve something great enough to make her family truly proud.
Merely becoming an Evolved was not enough.
She could nearly fight Power Born now, she guessed. Surely.
Without any wait, Han Fei directly went to a certain family to challenge a Power Born. The Power Born leader of this faily was famous for her power of the Moss.
She was named Hua Yu.
Han Fei was ready to head home after defeating the woman in battle.
The Little Tyrant finally knew what fear was.
I have been too arrogant…
Moss nearly drowned her to death.
"Dad, save me…"
Han Fei was full of fear.
Hua Yu easily defeated her but thankfully, let her go without killing her. But the woman seemed curious about her origins. In the end though, that was behind her.
Fuck doing great things, she was going back home.
Moving through a certain river atop a bamboo raft, Han Fei looked at the sky and adjusted her bamboo hat.
She was already 23. It had been more than seven years since she had seen her parents. Everything else felt worthless. She wanted to go home and annoy her father to death and bring him back to life.
They must miss me too, right?
She saw no way to progress anyway, so she shifted her bamboo raft's route and moved toward her home. At night, as she was drifting by, she heard the tender flirting that their parents only did when no one was around, and her eyes flashed open.
"Father…" she said with a choking tone.
She was riding on her father's back.
When? How?
They were climbing a mountain.
Looking at their faces, though, her expression changed, and she became silent.
They had both been around 20 when they first had her, but now, both of them looked older. Han Li seemed to have matured, and her mother's—who was flying on the side with her sparrow wings—white hair had lost its luster by a lot.
They were middle-aged now.
"But this doesn't make any sense…" She hugged her father's neck tightly, and her tears trickled down. "Doesn't Evolved live for 300 years? You two are young. Supposed to be young."
Han Li silently reached up the mountain and looked into the distance. He looked down at the rising sun. "Fei Fei. I don't know why, but your mother and I seem to be aging very fast. It must be because we are different from everyone else."
"Yeah, yeah," Ruo said, "Donno why, though. Your father tried a bunch of things to prolong our lifespan, but it didn't work."
Han Fei just silently cried.
She felt lonely a lot. She felt happy that her father was here to pick her up when she was finally ready to go back.
She felt choked with emotion.
She had lost a significant part of her life that she could have spent with her parents.
She and her bullshit pride was the reason for that.
Han Fei cried like a baby and her parents were only happy to oblige.
They built a new bamboo house by the mountain and began to live free of the city's hustle and bustle.
It was a serene life.
Many people found traces of the Cruel Princess and came to challenge her for a battle. Han Fei fought all of them and won all of them.
She was proud of her growth at least, and her father and mother always laughed at the scenes where she bullied arrogant young masters. They seemed to think that she'd marry anyone who defeated her in battle, but she scoffed at their idiotic thought process.
If you defeat me, I'll just go to my dad and make him beat you up, dumbo…
But even the challengers wouldn't have guessed the middle-aged couple who drank tea from the side calmly and laughed were not as ordinary as they seemed. Just like that, a couple more years passed, and her mother, Ruo, was full of complaints.
She could guess why, though.
Her face flushed as she looked at her father, who was sleeping naked beside her. Then she looked at her own clothless figure, and her blush deepened. She snuggled back up to her father and kissed him before falling asleep.
Mother, you can't blame me. Blame father for being such a playboy.
