My Mother Has a System but Won't Use It

Chapter 169 4th Trial of Three people in One

169  4th Trial of Three people in One

Yue Li couldn't help but secretly shiver as Han Li took her hand and walked towards the next Trial. They had already passed three trials, and four more remained but according to her son's words, they probably wouldn't win the next level, so she was in a slight daze. Honestly, after killing so many things, she already didn't like being around this place.

She was exhausted. She just wanted to rest. Yet, contradicting, her stamina was at an all-time high.

"Xiao Li, can't we wait for her for some time and recover our mental strength?"

Han Li shook his head. "If you look at the door to the fourth Trial room with focus, you would be able to notice that it is shrinking. Unlike the earlier trials, the 3rd and 4th Trials test our bodies, and stamina is a big part of it. So, no rest. But if we win the 4th trial, we could have rest."

With a sigh, he entered the next trial and took the black metallic knife that was lying on the ground with curiosity. After a while, he handed it to his mother. "This knife can cut through your skin and bones like Tofu. Handle it with care."

She took it, her eyes a bit distracted.

Han Li, on the other hand, looked at the new room, his face solemn. There was a young man on the other side of the stone room, and there was nothing else there. The young man looked at them coldly while Han Li looked at him with a sigh inside himself. He could already tell what the 4th Trial was.

His Life Vision scanned the person, and he immediately knew who he was.

[Nu Kai] [Age: 67]

[Current Cultivation: Evolved]

[End time cultivation in the first life Premonition: Evolved]

[End time cultivation in the last Premonition: Evolved, Phantom Cat Dao Soul]

[Death: (in the last premonition) At age 70, killed in an attempt to transplant beast organs into himself.]

A Transformation Path Cultivator. Sacred Talent. His body would be the best of what an Evolution Stage cultivator can have. He was getting such an easy test with Han Li… who was an Ethereal Type Cultivator. But for Han Li, of course, someone who had a better body than him and who was prepared was going to be at a big disadvantage.

Especially considering that this Nu Kai was good at one thing that was not Han Li's specialty. This person was Han Li's counter. Han Li was good at endurance. His defense was top-notch, and his stamina was also top-notch. But his Speed was just above average when he had Magic Powers. The worst thing was that Han Li hadn't made the Magic Power [The Elusive Movement] his Talent yet. So he couldn't use it here so his speed was even lower.

But even if he had made it, it would have still paled in speed when Yang Kai was such a short distance away. His body would still be able to cope with the speed before the person transforms into a phantom cat but after, Han Li knew he probably wouldn't be able to resist the speed.

Only if he had Transformed his Tendons would he be as fast as the person opposite him. Yet, he had not, so obviously, he would be slower.

Han Li calmly looked at the man. Monk robes, bald head, orange face, but a cold gaze. At a glance, he felt as if he was looking at a demon instead of a monk. The man had this fierce aura that just seemed to scream, 'Suppress Demons!'

…A person from the Demon Restraining Temple or a branch of it. No wonder he was pitted against a Team when he was in Solo. This 4th Trial was nasty.

"Nu Kai, a Monk who dislikes violence very much." The man introduced himself in a cold voice.

Han Li calmly smiled. Both he and his mother were bathed in blood. The man's distaste for them was understandable. Yet, he wondered what the guy had gotten for the last trial. If he had gotten the animals, he would have slaughtered them too.

Hmm, no, he would have 'liberated' them from their mortal afflictions. Han Li judged.

He tilted his head. "Name is Yang Wei. Someone who also dislikes violence very much."

Nu Kai calmly said, "One of us has to be beaten to a state of incapacitation to battle for this Trial of the body to be completed. If you let me beat you and the woman behind you up without resisting, it will be quicker."

In Nu Kai's eyes, Han Li was also probably a Transformation Type, so he kept his gaze trained on him, completely cautious. But he wasn't worried about the woman. She was just an Awakened.

Han Li calmly walked forward, flourishing his sword calmly as he walked forward. His only advantage was that he had a weapon, and the other party didn't. No matter how thick the man's skin was, his sword would still cut it like Tofu as long as it wasn't at [Below Average Power Birth] level at the very least. If Han Li's weakest aspect was looked into in the body department, it would be speed and raw strength, and even those, as of now, could be classified as [Above Average] in the Evolved Stage in comparison to Transformation Cultivators. n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om

His defensive skin and stamina would be equal to Sacred Talent when they are fully transformed, and it would be even better than them since he was transforming into a Sacred Demon instead of a random beast. Even though, unlike their complete Transformation, his was partial, as of now, only skin and organs.

If someone's capabilities ranging from Strength, Endurance, Dexterity, and Vitality could be classified as [Below Average>Average>Above Average>High>Top Tier]…

Han Li was even beyond Top Tier in Stamina and Defense, while he was just Above Average in everything else. His opponent was, on the other hand, Top Tier in every department when he transformed and High in every department when he was not Transformed. Nu Kai's speed would even be better than Top Tier, even though it wouldn't be that much of a difference. Phantom Cats were fast creatures, after all.

So, the match was clear at one glance.

Both of them walked forward towards each other, and Han Li calmly looked at the ceiling for the reward section. He couldn't help but whistle in amazement.

[Reward: Seasonal Fruit Bonsai]

A tree that bore a life dao resource fruit once every six months. It was a very simple Life Dao resource, but for Han Li, it was an absurd treasure.

His heart started to beat gently. Looking at the opponent, every reward Nu Kai had gotten so far must be small enough to put it inside his Empty Space, so even if he defeated him, Han Li wouldn't be able to get anything to steal, but this reward in itself made it worthy of fighting to the bone.

Not to mention, he didn't want his mother to be hurt.

His right hand moved, the sword shook gently in a sizzling vibration, and the blood in it was cast away. He tore his bloodied top and threw it aside. With a calm smile, he walked towards Nu Kai.

Nu Kai looked at him calmly as he walked closer and closer.

He would have normally moved aside quickly, but for some reason, his reaction was slower, and before he knew it, Han Li swung the sword. He quickly jumped back but then hissed painfully. A lot of skin had been cut off from his lower arm.

With a slosh, the cut skin fell on the floor, making Nu Kai cry out loud in pain. "Hghhh!!" He took a deep breath and asked with a sweaty forehead, "What did you do?"

Han Li silently attacked once more, a slash for the head, but Nu Kai quickly moved back, and soon, black fur grew on him, and he became a hideous hairy monster with cat claws and jumped on the side of the stone wall and distanced himself.

Spitting on the side, Han Li once more stood in position while Nu Kai's hand sizzled and began healing. "Regeneration, how irritating…" Han Li's words were slow and calm but among the four, three of his Talents were working.

[Low-Level Fantasy Inducement]

[Low-Level Sensational Barrier]

[Low-Level Seduction]

Fantasy Inducement made him unable to focus on anything. Clearly, seduction made him feel unnecessary emotions while in battle, and the sensational barrier cut off his sense of hearing at the most important moment. There was also Lack of Lust, which was unnecessary for now.

Han Li silently smirked.

He was never a transformation-type cultivator. He was an Ethereal Type Cultivator. They were not one bit inferior to the former; it was just that Lust Dao lacked proper attack methods in the Evolution Stage.

"You know, little monk boy," Han Li said, swinging his sword around. "I've wanted to test myself for a while now, and you are a perfect candidate. Why don't we bet all our treasures that we gained here in the past levels on ourselves? Winner gets all."

Nu Kai's big cat eyes shimmered for a second before it darkened. Han Li sighed. "So you have no confidence in yourself now that I hurt you a bit. Now come, don't talk when fighting if you don't have any guts."

Growling, his thick and disgusting cat tail smashing against the wall in humiliation, Nu Kai jumped towards Han Li. He was indeed fast.

Before Han Li could react, a furry fist landed on his chest, and he was blasted onto a stone wall. His organs and skin were fine, but his shoulder bone cracked slightly, and he hissed in pain as he looked at the man.

Yue Li yelped in surprise and began running for him until Han Li showed her a calm hand, saying 'stop,' and stood up. Had it been any other stone wall, he would have been covered in rubbles, but this place had almost indestructible buildings, atleast for his level of people. "You are fast. You should have pushed the attack," said Han Li.

"Your sword is too sharp. I don't want to be hurt," The man replied calmly.

Both Nu Kai and Han Li/Mom gang are in their fourth trial, a duel is their trial. If you couldn't tell. FamishedGod
