Chapter 79: Malekith
Chapter 79: Malekith
All the Dark Elves were in a state of absolute panic. They ignored their opponents and frantically fled to the distance. However, their speed was too slow before Alex; they couldn't escape the death that hunted them down!
Alex kept teleporting, slaughtering the Dark Elves. In just a few moments, he had killed all the Dark Elves in his line of sight, sending them into the embrace of the goddess of death!
At this moment, Thor, who had been using Mjolnir to travel, finally caught up to Alex and arrived at his side.
Thor was shocked at the scene before him. The attack that even Asgard struggled to deal with had been easily handled by Alex. Just as he was about to thank Alex, he suddenly heard Alex say, "Stand firm!"
Then Thor felt the surrounding environment undergo a tremendous change! Under immense gravity, the space around the three of them folded and distorted with a distant area.
When Thor came back to his senses, he found himself no longer on the Rainbow Bridge. In front of him was a familiar, luxurious room, and his mother was being strangled by another Curse Warrior, her face red and gasping for breath!
"Mother!"
Seeing this scene, Thor immediately rushed forward, wielding Mjolnir to attack the Curse Warrior. However, as the mighty Mjolnir approached the Curse Warrior, it was swatted away with a single slap! Following Mjolnir, Thor himself, charging at the Curse Warrior with his fists, was also punched away, embedding himself into the hard walls of the palace!
"This is impossible!"
Seeing his beloved hammer easily swatted away by the enemy in front of him, Thor's breath halted, his body stiff, unable to believe what he saw.
In just one day, his hammer had been blocked twice! This had never happened in his five thousand years of life!
When Alex and the others suddenly appeared, Malekith, the leader of the Dark Elves, immediately turned his head. Instead of interrogating Frigga, he stared intensely at Jane Foster standing next to Alex!
His gaze toward Jane Foster was filled with fascination as he muttered to himself, "Oh, Aether, you have returned to me as I expected. You belong to me!"
But upon closer inspection, he immediately realized that something was wrong with the current state of the Aether; its energy had become increasingly dormant!
This was not what the Dark Elves wanted. They needed the active Aether, the fluid Reality Stone, so they could wield its power to plunge the Nine Realms into absolute darkness!
Malekith glanced at Alex, focusing on the joined hands of the two. It was precisely from there that the Aether had begun to show signs of dormancy, even becoming solid!
He stared at Alex with a twisted expression and snarled, "Human, whatever you did, let it go!"
Seeing that Alex ignored him, Malekith furiously pointed at him and commanded, "Kill him for me, crush every bone in his body piece by piece, and then bring that woman to my side!"
"Yes!"
Of the five Curse Warriors, one charged at Thor, grabbing his leg, throwing him to the ground, and repeatedly punching his face until he was barely conscious!
The remaining four Curse Warriors charged at Alex, their eyes bloodthirsty, their armor radiating scorching energy!
The Dark Elves did not take Alex seriously. In all of Asgard, the only one they feared was Odin. But Odin had grown old, unable to act easily, and was currently occupied by other invading Dark Elves in different areas, unable to arrive in time. They were already envisioning their victory!
Malekith looked at Alex with disdain. Even if this human had some unique powers, he did not consider him a threat.
Among humans, only the Sorcerer Supreme from Kamar-Taj gave him pause. The others were mere weak ants!
Frigga, witnessing the scene, immediately shouted to Alex, "Young man, run quickly, inform Odin, and have him come save us!"
But it was already too late. The closest Curse Warrior had already reached out toward Alex's neck, intending to subdue him completely and then crush every bone in his body according to their leader's orders!
Boom!
A sonic boom suddenly erupted as a figure disappeared from everyone's sight, smashing through the magically reinforced walls and vanishing beyond the horizon!
The sudden turn of events left everyone stunned, halting all movements. They stared, disbelieving, at the seemingly frail human before them!
Residual black-red lightning crackled on the ground, leaving deep scratches. After kicking one Curse Warrior away, Alex ignored the three remaining and walked slowly towards Malekith, the leader of the Dark Elves!
"So you said you wanted to crush my bones piece by piece?
That's not a good way to torment someone. I have a better method. Would you like to try it?"
Though his tone seemed to ask, everyone could hear the authority in his words.
No... it wasn't authority; it was like a judgment!
A high-and-mighty judgment!
This human clearly viewed the Dark Elves as nothing!
Hearing Alex's lofty words, Malekith finally snapped out of his shock. Though his face was serious, he still didn't panic!
The strength of this Earthling had clearly exceeded his expectations, surpassing his understanding of Earthlings, but only to this extent!
In the combined assault of several Curse Warriors, he did not believe this human could win!
"Attack!"
Receiving Malekith's command, several Curse Warriors charged at Alex together!
Boom!
A terrifying fist broke the sound barrier, attacking Alex with a deafening sonic boom!
The Curse Warrior who had been beating Thor also turned to attack Alex, giving Thor a moment to catch his breath. He moved to Frigga's side, shielding her and worriedly watching Alex.
Each Curse Warrior was far stronger than him. If four Curse Warriors attacked him, he wouldn't be able to withstand even one round of attacks and would be beaten to death.
Even though Alex was more powerful than he was, Thor didn't believe Alex could win this battle.
His only hope for Alex was that he could hold out until his father arrived. That was their only chance of winning!
However, Thor was just a hammer god who had not yet awakened; he couldn't perceive the gap between Alex and himself. In his understanding, Alex could block Mjolnir, and Curse Warriors could also block Mjolnir. Even if Alex was stronger than the Curse Warriors, the difference was limited, and he couldn't be a match for several Curse Warriors!
But in reality, their strengths weren't even on the same level!
The Curse Warriors' attacks stopped five meters away from Alex, unable to advance further. They kept attacking Alex, but they couldn't get any closer to him!
Instead, Alex suddenly vanished from his spot, appearing right in front of a Curse Warrior, reaching out with a finger to touch his forehead!
With the combined power of vector manipulation and repulsion, the Curse Warrior's incredibly hard head exploded in an instant, shattering like an ordinary watermelon!
