Chapter 18: Chapter 18: Two Arc Reactors

Under everyone's gaze, Alex ignored their thoughts.

He shook his hand, flexed his fingers, and said with a bit of regret, "As expected, the skill level is too low to reliably release Black Flash. The chances of success are extremely low..."

However, Alex had anticipated this, so he didn't mind. He shifted his gaze from his hand to Iron Monger in front of him, casually digging in his ear, and said nonchalantly, "It's been long enough. Time to end this fight. Otherwise, what if Tony Stark isn't satisfied with my service?"

Alex then extended his hand forward, his expression both pleased and ruthless, "Cursed Technique Lapse: 'Blue'!"

The moment Alex extended his hand, Obadiah sensed something was wrong and launched all his weapons at once.

The resulting explosions could have destroyed an entire street, but a blue hole absorbed everything without a reaction.

The missiles, which Obadiah had pinned his hopes on, were neutralized so effortlessly!

"No, this can't be happening!"

Under Obadiah's incredulous gaze, Alex grinned and pushed the blue hole towards him.

With the missiles rendered useless, Obadiah immediately tried to escape, his jet devices running at full power to get him ten meters away.

Just as he breathed a sigh of relief, he noticed that Iron Monger had stopped. Despite pushing the jet devices to their limits, he was slowly being pulled backward.

Behind him was that terrifying blue hole that seemed ready to devour everything!

"No!"

Obadiah forcibly overclocked his jet devices beyond their limits. Despite the devices glowing red and beginning to melt, they couldn't stop him from moving towards the blue hole, and his speed only increased!

In the end, under Tony Stark's conflicted gaze, Agent Coulson's solemn watch, and the astonished eyes of all the civilians, the once-mighty Iron Monger was swallowed by the terrifying blue-black hole.

The ten-centimeter-thick titanium alloy couldn't withstand the immense gravity. First, the feet, then the torso, and finally the head twisted and were sucked into the blue-black hole, disappearing completely!

And the creator of all this, the person they had underestimated, yawned and walked out of the dust raised by the explosions. The white hoodie he wore wasn't even dirty, though his hair was a bit messy.

The White Mutant once again demonstrated with overwhelming pressure and absolute dominance that he was the strongest.

After dealing with Iron Monger, Alex walked slowly toward Tony Stark. With a slight movement of his hand, a peculiar white-glowing object, drawn by gravity, flew into his palm -the Arc Reactor, the energy source of Iron Monger.

As Alex grasped the Arc Reactor, he immediately felt the immense energy within. His Six Eyes and energy absorption abilities worked at full capacity.

After replenishing his own energy to its storage limit, the remaining energy was absorbed by his system and funneled into the "Gojo Satoru" template.

Even though the difficulty of increasing the template fusion rate had risen now that it was at 30%, the fusion rate continued to increase steadily, not much slower than before.

According to previous patterns, when the fusion rate reached 40%, he would gain a new skill. He was looking forward to it. What would the new skill be?

Would it be Cursed Technique Reversal: "Red"?

Its minimum power was twice the maximum power of Technique Reversal: "Azure"!

As Alex approached Tony Stark, the system simultaneously gave an alert:

Template Fusion Rate: 31%

At this moment, Tony Stark looked extremely disheveled, his iron helmet long gone, and even one of his iron gauntlets was missing.

The Arc Reactor on his chest was flickering, clearly on the verge of running out of energy. Seeing Alex approaching, Phil Coulson instinctively took a step back, a subconscious reaction of humans when facing a powerful predator.

What's more, Alex was far more terrifying than any predator.

However, Tony Stark showed no signs of fear. He approached Alex, curiously observing him, his eyes full of wonder,

"How did you do that just now? Some kind of mysterious future technology? Is that strange defense some kind of spatial technology?"

Beside him, Coulson also displayed a curious expression, hoping to gain more intelligence on the White Demon.

Hearing Tony Stark's question, Alex smiled and explained, "It's my ability."

Upon hearing Alex's response, Tony Stark muttered to himself, "A mutant, huh? That's incredible..."

Alex neither confirmed nor denied it. Except for energy absorption, all his abilities came from the system panel, having nothing to do with being a mutant. However, Alex didn't deny it. In the Marvel universe, many powers specifically targeted mutants. If anyone tried to use such powers against him in the future, he would give them a big surprise!

Suddenly, Tony Stark felt a sharp pain in his chest and noticed that the Arc Reactor's energy was completely depleted.

He immediately looked at the Arc Reactor in Alex's hand and said, "Can you give me that Arc Reactor? I need it to keep the shrapnel in my chest from reaching my heart."

Alex didn't want one of his favorite heroes from his previous life to die, so he tossed the Arc Reactor to Tony Stark.

"You now owe me two Arc Reactors."

"What? That Arc Reactor was mine to begin with!"

"But now it belongs to me."

"This... fine..."

Considering the man in front of him saved his life, giving him an extra Arc Reactor didn't seem too much.n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om

It definitely wasn't because the White Mutant was too powerful. Absolutely not. Agent Coulson quietly noted that the White Mutant needed Arc Reactors, which might be related to his abilities. Then he took out his credentials and said to Alex,

"Sir, hello, I'm Agent Coulson of the Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement and Logistics Division. I'd like to discuss a few matters with you."

Alex glanced at Agent Coulson's sparse hair until Coulson felt deeply offended, then retracted

his gaze.

"Hmm, it seems your job is very stressful."

"Oh, yes..." Coulson instinctively responded, then quickly remembered his primary purpose and continued, "Would you be interested in joining us and becoming an Avenger?"

Alex wasn't surprised by Coulson's invitation. Nick Fury was currently preparing the Avengers Initiative, so it was normal for them to be interested in his powers.

Alex was about to refuse but then remembered the Tesseract stored at S.H.I.E.L.D.'s base and the Mind Stone that would arrive soon. He smiled slightly and said, "Of course, I'd love to."

Seeing the frivolous smile on the white-haired man's face, Coulson felt a sudden sense of

foreboding...
