Chapter 830 Into the Cloudy Forest

Chapter 830  Into the Cloudy Forest

As Ren and the group rode on Tiki's back, traversing the landscape, their voices mingled with the rustle of the wind and the rhythmic beat of Tiki's nimble feet. They were deep in discussion, strategizing their next moves in their quest to find Lorelai. Unbeknownst to them, their conversation didn't go unnoticed.

Somewhere unknown, in her little house, Pamela, the Goddess of Fortune and Luck, peered into her crystal ball. A mischievous grin played on her lips as she observed the group on the crystal. Her pets, a pair of shimmering golden dragons, coiled around her shoulders, their eyes glowing with curiosity.

"I wonder what they're up to," Pamela murmured to herself, her gaze fixed on the crystal ball. "They seem to be mortals and planning something . . . intriguing."

Empowered by her divine gifts as the Goddess of Fortune and Luck, Pamela possessed an innate intuition that foretold the events destined to alter her fate for the better.

However, whether she had the ability to seize the opportunity was an entirely different matter.

Pamela gleaned snippets of Ren and the others' conversation. Through her two dragon pet that could relay voices into her ears even from her crystal ball. She had caught wind of their mission to retrieve a half-demon, half-angel mortal. The revelation sent a thrill of excitement coursing through Pamela's veins!

If she could obtain the power of such a unique being, she would ascend to unparalleled heights of power and prestige in the realm. No longer would she be ridiculed as the weak Goddess of Fortune and Luck. This opportunity was too good to pass up.

With a flick of her wrist, Pamela summoned her faithful servants, a legion of magical creatures imbued with her luck-enhancing abilities. They fluttered around her in a flurry of motion, eager to carry out her bidding.

"Prepare yourselves, my darlings," Pamela instructed, her voice filled with anticipation. "We're going to pay a little visit to our mortal friends. Prepare the scene for I shall make my entrance. Teeheehee."

As Ren and the others continued their journey, completely unaware of the looming threat form somewhere, Pamela set her plan into motion. With a wave of her hand, she cloaked herself and her minions in an invisible veil of magic, shielding them from prying eyes as they descended to where Ren and the other were heading next.

Meanwhile, Ren and the others arrived at Cloudy Forest, they found themselves standing at the edge of an otherworldly landscape. It was the only path they had to cross to reach the next area; the alternative routes were blocked by imposing mountains or the vast expanse of the ocean stretching out before them. With no other option, they ventured forth into the mysterious forest.

The fortunate aspect was that once they crossed to the other side, there were no more mountains or oceans obstructing their path until a later time; instead, they found themselves amidst a landscape dotted with towns and territories as far as the eye could see.

However, the downside was that they would have to pass through numerous territories governed by various gods and goddesses along the way, hoping that they wouldn't be discovered in anyway. As they stepped into Cloudy Forest, the group was immediately struck by the surreal sights that surrounded them. Above them, the sky seemed to merge seamlessly with the ground, forming a dense canopy of billowing clouds that obscured the sunlight. The air was thick with moisture, and a gentle mist enveloped everything in a soft, hazy glow.

They soon realized that the ground beneath their feet was not made of soil or grass, but rather a dense layer of clouds. Each step they took sent ripples through the fluffy surface, creating an almost surreal sensation of walking on air. The trees that dotted the landscape were unlike any they had ever seen before; instead of leaves, they bore delicate clusters of clouds that shimmered and shifted with the slightest breeze.

"It's like walking through a dream," Evie murmured, her voice filled with wonder as she reached out to touch one of the cloud-covered branches.

The forest was alive with the sound of soft, tinkling laughter, as if the very air itself was imbued with a sense of playful mischief. Everywhere they looked, they saw strange and wondrous sights; flowers made of clouds bloomed in vibrant hues of pink, blue, and purple, their petals glowing softly in the dim light. Crystals and stones, their surfaces sparkling with an otherworldly radiance, dotted the landscape like precious jewels scattered by some unseen hand.

But perhaps the most peculiar inhabitants of Cloudy Forest were the creatures that roamed its mist-shrouded depths. Instead of flesh and bone, these beings seemed to be formed entirely of clouds, their shapes shifting and changing with each passing moment. They moved with a graceful fluidity, their forms twisting and spiraling in the air like wisps of smoke.

"Look at that!" Desira exclaimed, pointing to a group of cloud creatures frolicking among the trees. "They're so . . . fluffy. Yuck."

"I wonder if they're edible," Vivi said, saliva dripping form her mouth. Elena couldn't help but giggle at the sight. "Now I know why they named this forest Cloudy Forest," she remarked, her eyes sparkling with delight.

Despite the otherworldly beauty of their surroundings, Ren couldn't shake the feeling of unease that lingered at the edges of his consciousness. There was something unsettling about this place, something that whispered of hidden dangers lurking just out of sight.

"We should be cautious," he warned, his voice low and serious. "There's no telling what we might encounter in these woods."

"Ren is right," Iraelyn asserted, stepping forward with a determined expression. "Those creatures might appear cute, fluffy, and irresistible, but I have a feeling they're poisonous. They might melt even your bones."

Vivi sighed, rolling her eyes. "Why do you always have to be so morbid?" she muttered under her breath.

"Let's watch our backs, everyone," Azazel warned, his voice tinged with rare seriousness. "Usually, it's places like this that pose the greatest dangers." n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om

"For once, you're making some sense," Ren remarked with a smirk. Must be his age. He thought. Azazel was getting mature and aging as he recovered his powers.
