Chapter 84: Torture both of them at once. 1000 – 1010 CE

A group of people were now standing on top of a cliff. Beneath it, there was a group of deviants, feasting on some elk and boars that they just hunted. Those deviants were in the shape of bears, but 3 times bigger than a normal bear.

The people that were standing on top of the cliff looked at the herd of deviants casually.

“So, what do you want to show us?” questioned a blonde boy, who was Thor. he was looking at the deviants curiously, as he never saw anything like it before.

“Now, because in a day or two you will go home to your mother’s arms…” Thena said nonchalantly. “This is your last test.”

“Last test?” questioned Loki.

Thena and Pluto then stepped forward, standing in front of the two teenagers. They looked at one another, and smirked. “Kill the deviants.”

“W-Wait what?” stuttered Thor. “We have to kill those things?”

“What’s wrong Thor? Starting to be a coward now?” said Thena with raised eyebrows, amused at the sight.

“I- I’m not a coward!” Thor huffed in embarrassment.

“Then kill them all.” repeated Thena. “You’re the god of Thunder, you boast your powers in front of humans after all, so you must have credibility on using that power…”

Thor gulped. He turned around to Kingo, who was his favourite out of all the Eternals, because he was the nicest of them all.

But this time, Kingo just smirked, making Thor curse himself for this forsaken trip to earth.

“Well, what are you waiting for? Jump.” stated Pluto casually.

Loki then tried to argue. “B-But Uncle, I have not learn many spells that could–”

“Ice and illusion spells are enough.” shrugged Pluto. “Now jump.”

“W-Wait a minute…”

Thena and Pluto sighed as they saw both of their cowardice. They looked at one another, and smirked. “Well, we’ll give you a little push then.”

“W-Wha–”

Before they could continue to argue, Pluto and Thena rushed towards them, and kicked them from the cliff, making them fall towards the herd of deviants directly.

Both of them screamed as they fell towards the herd, cursing all that exists on earth.

“I HATE THIS FUCKING PLANET!!!” shouted Loki.

“FOR ONCE I AGREE WITH YOU BROTHER!!!” Thor shouted back.

The two then dropped to the ground, making the ground shake a little. The deviants then turned to them instantly, making them gulp.

Loki snapped to reality quicker, and he made himself invisible, trying to make his brother fight alone.

But it was a mistake.

The deviants could smell him, and because he moved first, he was the one who got attacked first.

And so, the suffering of the two future gods continued.

Meanwhile, the Eternals were watching them from afar, sitting on top of the cliff, like it was entertainment for them.

“You sure this is a good idea man?” questioned Kingo. “They’re just kids.”

“They’re Asgardian kids.” Pluto pointed out. “I’m sure they’ll do well.”

Then, they watched as Loki was being chased by the bear-deviant, which made Pluto quiet.

“You’re saying?” Kingo said in amusement.

“Look, Thor and Loki obviously hate each other.” said Pluto as if it was clear as day. “And as you know, people often develop bonds from life and death situations.”

“So basically, your goal of getting them in a near death situation is to at least make them not hostile towards each other anymore?” questioned Sprite.

“Yup.”

“Real smart dude.” said Sprite, rolling her eyes. “Real smart.”

They then heard a shout from below. “UNCLE PLEASE! WE’RE DYING HERE!” shouted Loki, still dodging the deviant’s attack.

Pluto just ignored the shout, as Thor and Loki continued to fight the deviants by themselves.

“Right…” Pluto said as he stood up. “Let’s go back.”

“What about them?” questioned Thena.

“They’ll be fine.” shrugged Pluto, ignoring the screams from below. “Let’s go.”

The others just sighed, and followed him back to their place. “I’m not responsible if they die,” said Sprite.

Loki was running from the deviants, saving his own life. He kept dodging, rolling, and side stepping, to the point that his legs were killing him. He looked above, and saw that the Eternals were missing. He cursed himself, saying that they are sadists, and he carved a message in his heart to not meet with them again in the future.

He then turned to his brother, who was grabbing the jaw of the deviant desperately, trying not to get killed. He then turned towards his brother, and quickly conjured an ice shard spell, attacking the deviant’s eye.

The shard flew across the air, and towards the eye, stabbing it deeply, making the deviant staggered.

Thor saw an opportunity, and quickly kicked the deviant away from him, making the deviant slammed itself against the cliff.

“Listen to me brother!” shouted Loki. “I’ll cast a blinding spell, and you’ll attack it from the back!”

“I will not listen to-”

“SHUT UP! YOU WANT TO LIVE OR NOT!?”

Thor clicked his tongue, and ran toward Loki.

Loki saw this, and he prepared his spell. He let the magic gather towards his hand, and once it finished gathering, he turned around, and aimed the spell towards the deviant, making it blind.

“Now!” shouted Loki. Thor then jumped towards the back of the deviant, and he tried to stab it using his sword.

As he stabbed it, it didn’t pierce through its skin.

“I can’t stab it! The skin is too thick!” shouted Thor in panic.

Loki quickly racked up his brain, and saw the inside of the deviant was different from the outside.

“Stab it in the eye! Or from the mouth!” shouted Loki, already distracting the other deviants.

And so Thor quickly jumped from the blinded deviant, and stabbed it from its mouth and through the brain, killing it instantly.

“I did it!” shouted Thor in excitement.

“WE did it brother!” Loki grumbled. “And we’ve got a lot more to go! Focus!”

And so, the duo fought the deviant until the sun set.

Pluto and Thena were sitting on the beach, enjoying the sun sets as they drank coconut that Pluto picked from the south. They were relaxing, enjoying the time they spent together.

Suddenly, two bloodied teenagers walked towards them, bringing a bag of deviant heads with them.

“We’ve done them.” Thor grumbled, dropping the heads in front of Thena and Pluto.

“Good,” said Pluto casually. “Congratulations, you can go home now, go celebrate with Kingo and Sprite or something, don’t bother us.”

Thor and Loki cursed them in their hearts, but they couldn’t see anything.

They just grumbled, and walked towards the cottage nearby.

Thor then remembered Sprite’s gesture towards Pluto as an insult. So, as they walked towards the cottage, Thor turned around, and flipped them off.

“I could see you doing that, you know.” said Pluto nonchalantly, making Thor flinch. “You want another test?”

“N-No! Please, uncle I’m sorry… no more…” Thor pleaded.

“Good, just go.”

Thor and Loki then entered the cottage, pleased with themselves that they have gone through hell and back.
